“I was very impressed with the overall service. The website was easy to navigate and the options were easy to understand and apply. The delivery was fast and it arrived on the day they said it would. The quality of the books I'd ordered were excellent. My one criticism was that some (but not all) of the colour photos did not appear as I'd seen them on my computer; they tended to be darker and have less contrast. This is what is stopping me from giving a full 5 stars. However, the bottom line is that I would most certainly consider using Doxdirect again (although I'd probably have to re-format any colour photos).”

“I was very impressed with how easy it was to upload my files and have my documents printed and delivered within 3 days. Very happy with the Quality. Will definitely use doxdirect again. My only fault was that I am sure I asked for the plastic coverpage front and and back of both spiral bound docs but only one front came. Not sure why. No matter- I was happy. F”

“This is an awesome service!! The only thing that was missing was the last blank white thicker paper ending. Very last page so now it is not fully protected which is a bit troubling. Other then that I will for sure use your service again. If you feel like sending this again please feel free to do so. kind regards”

“This is a brilliant service that is quite affordable for low numbers of prints. It does exactly what is promised and the turnaround time is brilliant. I have only two minor criticisms. You have to be patient with the web site that sometimes appears to freeze, loses all you have downloaded and you have to start again. My documents were largely photos which, when printed were a bit on the dark side, but not so as to be unacceptable.”

“Louise has been extremely helpful in sorting out problems. But maybe you can do something about the problems. a) the webpage is not good with Safari b) when I selected to have my first and last pages as front and back cover, this changed the layout and my spreads were all wrong. Thank you Louise for your help. bw Marion”

“Very pleased with the product. I used this as a test as I am only about one third of the way through completing my family ancestry book. I wanted to check out how it looked as it's the first time I have attempted to do anything like this. Will come back again to Doxdirect to have the final version printed.”

“Book creation system works well and allows you to check what will be printed before printing. Some colour photos, notably older sepia style ones, turned out darker than in the .pdf files and the original draft print but not quite to the point of complaint. Some problem uploading front and rear 5Mb cover photos (like it gave up half way through multiple times) and I eventually constructed a single file with body text and covers in one .pdf. That worked. Worth doing and very fast. Would use again. Rgds”

“I think the "1 day turnaround" is misleading, whatever the small print may say. I ordered on Thursday morning and the delivery was Monday. However, I am very pleased with the quality of the printing/binding and with the price. So overall it's a 'good' but not quite a 'very good'.”

“If your document contains, as mine did, fairly quirky graphics, (from the point of chosen font, in this case Lucida Handwriting), then don't worry, the outcome and clarity was brilliant. My criticisms are that a sample print, which was perfect in terms of tonality and brilliance, was not achieved in the final print, which is a shame as the final print was significantly darker. The obverse page print also had 'line-up' issues, where the page print was out of line, dropping by 3mm from left to right, perhaps a paper sheet pick up problem. This happened on a previous printing, which was returned and resolved, however in this case the time scale was more important than the result. Louisa Gipps again proved to herself to be invaluable, communicating areas she felt to be of concern, which gave the opportunity to review my submission. Would I use Doxdirect again. Yes, certainly, but would wish that the areas mentioned could be identified, in order that the print settings are listed, so that they may be stated as a 'final print' definition.”
