“⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ This company is an absolute scam! I accidentally booked my car rental for August 11th to 14th instead of my intended dates of August 12th to 15th. When I called to fix the error, the representative, Irene👎, was completely unhelpful. She refused to adjust my booking, and to make matters worse, she informed me that if I didn’t show up by the 11th, I’d lose the entire reservation. What a ridiculous policy! I was willing to forfeit one day, but losing all three days is outrageous. This kind of unethical behavior and poor customer service is unacceptable, especially for a returning customer. I’ll make sure to spread the word about this company’s shady practices and warn others to steer clear of this unprofessional operation. I’m done with them for good and will share my experience on other platforms.”

“I Booked a vehicle and paid in advance. My flight time changed and then we were delayed on the day. I now know as it's in the small print that they only wait 4 hours and then cancel your vehicle. After arriving and queueing for another hour to collect the car, I was told that I couldn't have it. I tried to call Doyouspain who were closed at 9.40pm on a Saturday so had no other choice than to book a new car and pay twice. Doyouspain are offering no refund or gesture of good will, I have used them in the past so not a first time customer, they will book the same car out no doubt and double their money at my expense. Beware of using a broker, they are not flexible and they are not open when you need them. Go straight to the operators and pay that little extra for peace of mind.”
Eviten perder tiempo, dinero y paciencia.
Hay muchas otras compañías serias, profesionales y humanas. Esta no es una de ellas.”
“My first experience with this company is tragic. The car I ordered, paid for and confirmed (3 weeks in advance) was not in GoldCar's system at all, no one communicates with you, I stopped calling the call center after an hour of futile attempts. No one responds to 5 emails, I would call it a theft in broad daylight. I will pass it on to the lawyers and file a complaint, I would expect this approach somewhere in Africa, not in Europe, it is simply a disgrace. Welcome in Spain.....”
“Really bad customer services they don't reply. I gave them 2 weeks notice that I was in a car accident before I was due to hire a car and they did not do a thing about it. They did not reply to my matter or try to solve it. Money grabbers. Do not hire a car through this company they are scandalous!!!”
“Hidden charges and unwilling to help readjust.
I booked a car from Zaragoza to be returned in Seville for 180€ which is an amazingly good price. When completing the payment there was a little star at the bottom mentioning that I'm going to have to pay another 220€ during car pickup which is the extra fee for the car to be returned in a different location. I've been on the phone with them for days trying to figure out a solution and suggested I would finally return the car to Zaragoza, since the extra fee that applies is 40€ more expensive than the car rental itself (!) of course I would always just hit a wall... Unhelpful and unapologetic. Of course it was my fault that I wasn't careful with the little star notes at the bottom, but still the intention to fool customers like this and not provide support after are unacceptable!”
“This company does NOT respond to customers who’ve had a bad service from them
Definitely would not recommend using them
Never responded to 6 requests for explanation

“Booked a car for 2am pick up. Arrived at pick up area in Alicante airport at 2.33am as flight was slightly delayed and car hire office was closed. No one answered calls or emails. Got taxi for 90e to our accommodation. Made out way to airport next day to collect car, another 90e in taxi.. and they said office closes at 2am so it closes at that time and as you were not here before that time so, it is considered a no show and u lose all your money. They were soo unhelpful and unapologetic. Other families in same position. Very stressful. Will never use this company again.”
“The experience was very unpleasant because when we arrived at the airport, the staff from Keddi, represented by Europcar, did not recognize the reservation I had paid for on the website — a full €191 including platinum insurance. At Europcar, we had to pay for another insurance, totaling €300 plus a €100 deposit. On top of that, the Keddi website did not mention that a €800 deposit would be blocked on our card. So what i thought was a €200 car reservation was actually €600. I do not recommend”
“booked a rental car through DoYouSpain at Málaga Airport and paid €244 in advance. When I arrived, the car was refused because I had a VISA debit card – even though the booking documents clearly stated I could leave a €1,100 deposit upon collection.
That option was not offered. Instead, I was told I could only get the car if I paid over €300 for additional insurance – which I declined. I never signed a rental contract, never received a vehicle – and yet DoYouSpain refuses to refund me.
Customer service keeps responding with copy-paste replies and completely ignores the facts of my case.
This is not transparent business and clearly not in line with EU consumer rights. I have filed a complaint with the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) and initiated a chargeback with my bank.
Bottom line: The prices may look good, but if anything goes wrong, you’re on your own – and out of money. Never again.”
“I just had an extremely bad experience booking through Doyouspain. After waiting for more than 1.5 hours, the contract partner, Goldcar, made unbelievable additional demands at the counter that contradicted the terms and conditions. Therefore, I didn't make the booking. Several letters to Doyouspain support have shown me that Doyouspain tolerates this and refuses to issue a refund.”
“I had an extremely frustrating experience with DoYouSpain, and I strongly advise against using this platform.
I booked a car through DoYouSpain with Alamo at Vigo Airport. When I arrived to collect the car, the Alamo office refused to release the vehicle because I didn’t have the physical version of my driving licence — even though I presented a certified official document, legally valid across the EU.
This certificate is issued under Decree-Law no. 138/2012 (as amended by Decree-Law no. 102-B/2020) and complies with Directive 2006/126/EC on the mutual recognition of driving licences within the EU.
The most frustrating part is that Alamo actually proposed a simple solution: to change the name on the reservation to a friend who was with me and had a physical licence. However, only DoYouSpain could make that change, and despite calling multiple times, no one ever answered. Because of this, the change couldn’t be made, and I lost the rental.
Afterwards, I contacted DoYouSpain by email. I received only a generic automated reply referring to non-refundable bookings, and no response at all to my follow-up messages.
The customer service and after-sales support are awful. Even a simple issue becomes unsolvable if you can’t reach anyone. I will also file a complaint with the European Consumer Centre.
It may look cheaper, but trust me — it’s not worth the stress. Avoid at all costs.”
“Es simplemente imposible comunicarse con ellos porque sólo recibes mensajes automáticos. Sin embargo, el coche que reservé en su sitio web no funcionó. Tampoco recuperamos el dinero de la empresa de alquiler de coches porque no puedo decirle a la máquina lo que quiero.”
“We paid DoYouSpain in FULL, in advance, for car rental in April. Their partners OKmobility then forced us to pay over €513 more at the desk plus a 160€ that we would mabye get back - it was either pay or "you are not getting the car". They did not let us know in advance about any of this. Customer service is non-existent in this business. We dod not get our money back, nothing. Never again.”
“WARNING!!
Do not rent a car from Doyouspain at Tenerife South Airport!
Our son had booked and paid for a car there from 1 to 26 February. Unfortunately, when he arrived at the counter, he had forgotten his driver's license. Everything was explained at the counter. We sent the driver's license as soon as possible. It was there two days later. Super good of DHL! Back to the Doyouspain counter to pick up the car. When we arrived, it turned out that his reserved and paid for car had been cancelled. Those were the rules??? He did not get the money back. It was a large amount of course for almost the entire month. Back in Holland, I asked for the money several times but have not received anything back yet. I find this so unfair and unreliable that I want to protect others from this kind of practice.”
“We paid DoYouSpain in FULL, in advance, for car rental in December. Their partners Thrifty/Firefly then forced us to pay over €100 more at the desk - it was either pay or "you are not getting the car". It was late at night and we had children with us so we had no option but to pay. We reported the issue to doyouspain on our return and have been trying to resolve the issue since... bottom line is they did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. Customer service is non-existent in this business... total RIP OFF!”
