I always rated DPD as one of the better couriers but a recent 'attempted' delivery has changed my mind. Delivery due 16.8.22 and I received their usual email with a 1 hr time slot. I then received an email with a photo of someone's house, not mine, saying they had attempted delivery and would try again the following day. I used the DPD chat line to advise that I'd been notified of an 'attempted' delivery but they really couldn't care less that the driver had lied - just advised it would be delivered the following day. Judging from a lot of the other reviews you can probably guess the final outcome...Email received the following day with 1 hr time slot; stupid pink flamingo showing on DPD's tracking map as a handful of stops away...then a message stating driver running late...then a message stating driver had attempted delivery. My message to driver Ilian (Iliyan) working from the Maidstone depot - you lied... you didn't attempt delivery on either day. Thanks a bunch DPD/Ilian, my parcel has now been returned to sender after '2 failed delivery attempts' which never happened!

My parcel was originally supposed to be delivered on Wednesday 10/08/22, I didn't receive it as it was sent to the wrong address, I called they apologized and was meant to be then sent on Thursday and they sent email to confirm this, I yet still didn't receive it and I called again and they sincerely apologized once again & was confirmed for my parcel to be delivered on Friday, and again on Friday I still didn't receive anything and they said sorry on Monday, I still didn’t receive anything on Monday, at this point they make me crazy and make my blood pressure very high. I spoke to them again on the same day and I said to them, you cannot keep lying and they sent a email and confirmed through the phone as well that if they fail to send it by DPD on 16/08/22 we going to use City sprint and yet again nothing happened. Now it is Wednesday and I called and they said someone will call me back from Southall depot but they did nothing

I have waited nearly 11 hours for a redelivey they said that there was a delay no updates at all don't know how other companies use them if I had a business I will never use them

Horrendous service, 2 nights in row I have stood outside my place of work, watched the van drive past, then got the message they missed me, stood for over an hour the second time so I would not miss them, gave my phone number in case they couldn't find address, I am beyond livid

Stayed they tried delivery but did not. I was sitting in house watched him go to back of van then back to front of van and drive away. And said he tried delivery total chap.

They failed to turn up for a collection. When we chased up with DPD they told us they would get back to us. had to chase it up ourselves and got put on hold for 25 minutes only to be transferred over to Liverpool customer services who refused to help as it wasn't their district and put us back on hold. We were then transferred back to Liverpool twice before they just hung up on us.

Outrageous! Don't use them. I've changed my delivery address to a pick up point using their app, paid for my parcel to be delivered next day and got a message to say sorry we've missed you. Then contacted customer service quite early in the day and all they had to say was that they understand and they sense that I'm upset but can't do anything about it and they don't have a refund service either so have to wait until tomorrow. What a pathetic company and service! They should not be allowed to operate and be held accountable!

Hopeless courier. On a hot day, cars in the drive windows open, driver could not be bothered to look round back if house to get a signature.

The Driver, Osman sent an alert that my parcel had been successfully delivered to my address in Swindon. I was stood outside waiting for them when they sent an alert with a corner of a door. Nobody turned up and nobody delivered to my address. Shocking behaviour. I'm still pursuing a redelivery but I might have to fork out another £150 to replace the lost school uniforms that Osman has gifted to someone else who might not even care. DPD is rubbish. Unfortunately I can't score them the big fat ZERO that they deserve.

I received a message (from DPD and Amazon) that the driver had attempted to deliver my item but I was not in. This was a blatant lie. I was looking out of the window at the time they claim and there was no sign of any vehicles. Attached is the photographic "proof" that they provided of the attempted delivery. Avoid like the plague! If I'd known that Amazon were going to use DPD I would never have made the order.

I have decided not to purchase anymore from the stores who use DPD. They do not attempt to deliver the package. It is just left in the Pickup shop. Now, the shop is closed and i can not pick up the package

The worse couriers in the world! Do not choose them, newer and smaller companies are far better than them. They were meant to come and collect me parcel on Wednesday, I had waited the whole day, their deliver lied and tried to say that there was nothing to collect- pure lie, I have CCTV recording that no one attended my address, I was told issue would be escalated and someone would come to collect it the same day. Nothing happened. The next day exactly the same thing happened and the driver lied again, and when the depot tried to contact him his mobile was off apparently. I was told someone will come by the end of the day- I waited till 8pm! No one came once again. When I called them on Friday they said they can’t come now the job needs to be rebooked- so why couldn’t they tell me this before? Instead of wasting my 72hours!! Horrible service- I would never use their service again and would never recommend. Their staff are lairs, they do not know their job roles, and let customers down. Do not use them if you don’t want to get disappointed.

Ordered frozen food which should have arrived the next day. Waited in but driver didn't show up. Received an email 'sorry we missed you' - they didn't even attempt delivery! Rescheduled for following day. When DPD eventually showed up the following day, I refused to accept the package. The frozen food had by then been in transit for over 2 days and would have been inedible. Useless service!!!!!

This awful company claimed that their driver showed up at my residence for delivery. This is a lie as I sat by my window which is directly opposite a very narrow and quiet road and cannot miss any bike, car or van that goes by. No one rang the doorbell at any point during the delivery window and when I complained, they advised that I should check the app where the driver took a photo of my door and uploaded it. Who cares if he took a photo? Given the amount of things to be delivered, this driver wouldn't have walked down that road as that'd be the only time I would have missed him. Now they're asking that I pick up my parcel as a pick up address even though I worked from home so I can receive my package today. Awful company and I'll never support a business that delivers with DPD as they're unreliable.

I awaited a parcel to be delivered by DPD, I have the DPD app and saw they were going to deliver between 2009hrs and 2109 hours. The tracking info let me know when the driver Hussein would approximately arrive, it then said he is in my area and will be about 4 minutes. After a while I thought that was a long 4 minutes! When I checked the app there was a message saying I could not produce proof of age!!!! I had not seen or heard from the driver! It was a downright lie!! I can understand if there was trouble locating me but please do not lie to a customer!!! The next day (today) I spoke to DPD, they told me the parcel was on route back to the sender! And they had not even tried the second delivery attempt!! They would not give me any information and more or less kept me in the dark. They said they would escalate but it would be an in house investigation and I would not know the outcome!!! Surprise surprise!! I contacted the sender who got onto them straight away hopefully tomorrow I’ll receive the returned parcel L, I won’t hold my breath. Previous to this I had another parcel from them but it did not turn up! It said the parcel was delivered to myself, the photo clearly showed a woman’s hand with blue nail varnish. Luckily I located my parcel further down the road when a lady came out and asked if I was expecting a parcel. Terrible customer service no support at all. Clamp up and cover up appears to be the order of the day. DPD a clowns outfit in my view.

I have been trying to arrange a parcel collection for the last 2 weeks and every time (3 in total) it has been a disaster. First the driver went to the wrong address, then the two other times they didn't bother calling or ringing the doorbell to notify me they had arrived. They simply said, 'the parcel wasn't ready for collection'; despite me being in the home, ready for them, having taken time out of the office for this. DPD customer service have also been no help, they promised that the depot would call me back 'within the hour' to tell me if they had found another driver for my collection; which never happened. Finally, the last time, the customer service agent simply told me the collection had to be rebooked, although none of this was my fault as I was at home, waiting for the driver. A terrible experience, I will never use or recommend DPD again. Such a waste of time!

Parcel supposed to be delivered tomorrow but one road towards us closed. Option to deliver to a neighbour no good because all neighbours on the same closed road, so try “alternate address” option of a neighbour 1/2 mile down the road in opposite (unclosed) direction. System won’t accept this! Phone Customers services, very unfriendly agent informs me that neighbour has a different postcode which is supplied from a different depot. However she can put a note on the system to get the driver to phone me, but she can’t tell him to deliver to a different address. Couldn’t make it up.

My delivery as usual was sent to the wrong address. I have dpd app, instructions how to get to my house. Picture uploaded. Saturday l complained, and wanted to talk to the manager. I was promised a within an hour call back. 3 yes three days later, l got a call from an absolute unprofessional lady, who did not introduce herself l had to ask her name. My blood pressure was through the roof as l set in my car today for 2 hrs waiting for the delivery, deliberately at the wrong address. Guess what! The delivery went there, so just because l recognised from the photo l knew where they go. So, l got my package. Unprofessional, uncaring horrendous service. I will use them when l see my own back side. I by the way, hang up the phone on the unprofessional caller right after l told her what l think of their service. And no l didn’t swear.
