I would have given Zero stars if it was possible…trying to speak to a human being to find out why a parcel was not delivered even though someone was at home is nigh on impossible….every single phone number I have found just takes me to an automated service…would never recommend this company

First of all, I did not receive the qr code with my first order so I had to buy another one and then refund the first one. But most importantly, they charged me fees for import tariffs after I have sent my parcel. There was no warning about these tariffs when I ordered the service. This fee exceeded the price I paid for sending it in the first place.

1 star even more. Theres no option to put 0 star. I was waiting for my parcel to be collected. Driver came and press the buzzer and went off while talking with someone using head phone. Not even wait 10 seconds to open the door. (everything recored in CCTV footage attached ) I bring up the parcel and he refuse to take, saying its already late. I buy the service for next day delivery and it wasn't gone through. I know DPD local don't care so better contact ombudsman service.

DPD is a scam! I was moving overseas in January and flew to Edinburgh just to pack up my stuff from my flat. DPD local took 3 boxes of literally everything that I own and I was later told that because of Brexit, it couldn't have been delivered but they picked it up anyways. After this, my parcels got lost and I have been begging them for months to find them. Two of the boxes came back but the third remained lost. Now, in May, they told me the third box had been found but since the parcel was damaged, it got "disposed of", after me writing to them every week for 6 months!!! Now they never answer my emails and I still haven't received any money from my claim. They also made me prove the value of whatever I was sending, even though they had collected the insurance money beforehand without mentioning this "proof of value" requirement anywhere obvious. This box contained personal things that meant a lot to me that I couldn't bring on a plane. DPD kept lying to me about what was going on with my parcel and that they will reach out to me but they never did! I also submitted a 100 page PDF with invoices for most of my things that I had purchased online but they returned it saying they need more supporting evidence. I had to reach out to support again via the live chat to have that changed. They keep telling me to be patient and that the claim will take time because "it's high value", yet they threw my stuff in the bin (or so they say), for whatever reason, knowing full-well that I am looking for it. It actually never left Scotland. I've used them before and my parcel arrived broken with half the stuff missing and they didn't even allow me to make a claim. Avoid at all costs!

Very bad experience. Strange and unexpected list of prohibited item. Lost package, even if it was protected/insured, they did everything they could to cover the loss. Don't use them!

Terrible Service I recently had the misfortune to use this company. I had placed a large red fragile sticker on the parcel which had been removed by the time in arrived. The contents were all broken and of no use to the buyer, but as I had paid for parcel protection I contacted DPD and made a claim and was asked to provide various documents by 16th April. Having complied with their instructions they then rejected one of the documents and with one days notice brought the deadline forward to 6th April. I still managed to get the correct document to them within the deadline, but at 12.36 am I received an automated e mail saying the claim had been rejected. Since then I have tried various methods of contacting them but to no avail. They will not answer your e mails. Buying parcel protection is a complete waste of time. Customer Service is completely non existent. Terrible company I will never use them again. If it was possible to give a minus score I would have done.

I booked a service with DPD Local. Later I found out that they lost a package. Didn't even refund me. When the stuff came to me, It turned out they lost some other luggage of mine which I wasn't given any information. about. It has been 2 months I call and email them everyday. They do not help me at all. I lost a lot of expensive stuff. Very poor service by the company and very lazy and unprofessional. Will never book DPD Local again.

I’m very , very disappointed of the service DPD gives!! Very!! The delivery guy came, he had a smaller box in his hands and he said: delivery, yeah? But not handing over to me. I was like: what? He just showed me a bigger box on the floor to pick up. I was so confused. And I’m pregnant! How was I suppose to lift that big box? And carry it up to stairs? He didn’t even bothered taking it inside the building at least. We still could keep the safe social distance for him to take that box inside or even up to stairs next to my door. Very poor service!! Disgusted! I didn’t choose them to deliver my parcel. Also, I’ve received only on small bit from my whole delivery! Confused, no communication and very, very poor service!!!

The worst experience for an online service in my life I booked DPD Local to transport a small shelves from London to Paris which was a gift and which will help me in my job We were in January When I booked, I mentioned was a shelves but they took money and say nothing My parcel stay 1 month on the status "consolidation scan" After one month, they send the parcel back to London without saying to me (I discover it on the tracking) for the reason ... no idea They told with Brexit they had problem - so why take money from people if you are not able to transfer the goods But the worst is to come They relabeled my parcel .... 5 times They delivered my parcel .... to the wrong person They send me proof of signature (a false signature) and a pictures which was not my home The day after they recognize it was the wrong home and they took the parcel back From 14th of February, the tracking of my parcel still the same ..... I would have said the trackingS cause my parcel have now 5 different number I reach their customers service - the chat - about 30 times The only thing was to wait 8 week for my parcel to get back to me in London Today the 24th of April .... still nothing I send mail, phone everything that was possible The only thing I know that my parcel is in the lost property .... sleeping I asked them to refund my goods - was really the minimum They asked me proof and papers which is unbelivebal after all this time, lost of time and energy But after all this story, and opening 2 claims, the claims was refused foe the reason I sent a prohibited goods "a shelves" it was on their list and so they cannot refund me and do nothing for me But when I declare the content of the parcel, they took the money They don't even propose to send my shelves back to me Is the only thing I want and ask since the beginning So now this story is 4 month old, I will never see my shelves again They won't even refund this to me DPD Local MAKE ME LOST - or better steal to me - my money and precious time (I was almost crying sometimes for their lack of consideration) They don't care )- your parcel is lost by their fault but it is not their problem Again, I order a lot on internet, I have parcel coming from US, London .... I never see this lack of consideration in my life Yes they lost your parcel but ... that's your fault - bye Please - don't use them !! You will regret it Or read the 1500 goods prohibited In the meantime, I took UPS from London to Paris for another parcel, 48h later my parcel was in my home

It's been more than one month since all my material possessions have been taken by a DPD driver and lost ever since. DPD is disregarding all responsibility onto Brexit and updating me where my things are, neither updating me regularly unless i keep on chasing. I need to know where my things are, i need to have a contact email/phone to parcel2go or whoever took my stuff. i need you to take responsibility because this is indeed your fault.

I trusted DPD local to send all my material belongings from England to Poland. What a mistake that was! From the start they have proven to be extremely incompetent in dealing with my order, the drivers lazy and took a few attempts to collect the stuff because they couldnt be bothered to look for the address. They then have taken my stuff and disappeared with it, its now been almost 1month. They dont communicate as they promise they will, there is no number to call, and they dismiss all responsability. I have already emailed the complaints department and no one has bothered to reply. What kind of company is this??? The online chat is a joke! The first person told me my things would be delivered in the afternoon of the 10/03, the 3rd person told me 7-14 days, then now on the email someone is mentioning 8 weeks and you are following up just simply saying that that’s it and nothing else can be done. Is this a joke? NEVER, EVER trust this company, ever!

Almost a scam company. I say almost because they are not a scam company by design. The scam is just a by-product of their shadey business practices, incompetence and next-level appalling customer service. The net result is the same... they won't give you the service that you pay for and they will keep your money. You might as well deliberatly send your money to a scammer - there's something more transparent about that. At least a scammer doesn't waste your time. Once they have your money they do the decent thing and ghost you. These guys keep you hanging on for hours and hours, weeks and weeks. Email upon email, live chats etc. I most have cost them hundreds in wages for the hours and hours of their time I have wasted trying to get my money back. It really doesn't make sense. Anyway, I have been dealing with these accidental scammers for nearly 6 months after they failed to deliver my parcel and kept my money. I got some back as a partial refund and am now chasing the rest via PayPal and credit card if needed. Dont use these morons. Use anyone else.. it really doesn't matter who.

Don't ever use these shylocks! I am now £98 out of pocket because of their poor communication and service, I tried to return bought goods but because of dpd they never received it and now have missed return window. dpd eventually returned the parcel to me after weeks and spending ages trying to get hold of customer non-service, but too late to get a refund and they won't even refund their charge They are the worst parcel delivery company imaginable, never received a confirmation email, unable to track the parcel with their system DON'T USE!

APALLING SERVICE - Parcel sent beginning of February and returned back to UK but stuck in HUB3 no one taking responsibility of actioning this parcel - also received an email from a fraud company asking to input bank details for parcel to be redelivered the next day - found out today it was a scam and now resulted in me contacting the bank and cancelling my bank card luckily it has not been used as yet in between. APPALLING SERVICE I JUST WANT MY PARCEL BACK SO I CAN RESEND TO GERMANY...!!!!

Absolutely the worst I’ve ever experienced!!! 7 large parcels send due to moving. All went to wrong the address. The person who received them has told the driver that these were not their parcels but the driver has insist to leave all the parcels on their driveway. Poor elderly said that they could not to move those heavy large parcels and it was going to rain. But the driver doesn’t care. Then the couple rang me from the number on the parcel ticket, that’s how I know my parcels were missing. I then informed DPD local about this using the live chat straightway and got promised that they would send someone back to collect them and redeliver on the same day, but never happen. Contacted again several time, got similar promise, but never happen. Then few weeks later, I got told that no one was going to collect them and I have to through claim procedure and declare those parcels were missing. Well, then I got to prove the value despite that the value was declare when booking the delivery. That’s not enough, I have to have receipts, bank statements to prove the value. Ridiculous, how would people keep receipt for all their clothes, shoes, books, cooking and dinning stuff etc. After the arguments, they agreed to pay compensation then disappeared! When I contact again, it either go through robot or saying the service is actually carried out by parcel to go, so there will not be able to do any etc. Excuse after excuse. Parcels were send in Oct 20, now Mar 21. Issue still not resolved. I have kept some chat screenshots so people can see how frustrating this is. However, this site will it let me upload too many photos. Just to let everyone else know. DPD local is not DPD (the good reputation one). DPD local uses subcontractor Parcel to go, so whatever happened they can just push the responsibility elsewhere. DPD local does not actually have a costumer service line, no actual person to speak to, and can only communicate through live chats. There is no manger to speak to and nowhere to raise complaints and cannot arrange call back. When you get promises through live chats, don’t take it seriously, they just want to finish talking to you ASAP. Their attitude is just being polite so you can leave and wait few more days. When you contact again, it will be someone else’s to deal with the issue. You got explain the whole thing over gain. No one is there to take the ownership to deal with the issue. So you may just ends giving up. Things may seem ok when they don’t go wrong, but absolutely a nightmare if anything go wrong!

I worked for dpd local in speak Merseyside. I worked though the agency we do commercials. It’s a proper disgrace. I was getting £1 per parcel or £80 a day , so if I done 100 parcels I should get £100 . That never happened I got 80 near all the time. They also give you say 100 parcels and then send you say 5 maybe 7 to collect so you might have to go somewhere and pick multiple packages up can be any amount sometimes 100 and at the end of your pick ups take them back the depo and unload them . They would still only pay you £1 for the pick up that’s if you’re lucky most of the time you get nothing you’re just expected to do it . If you then say you’re not doing any to collect they more or less get rid of you. They say you are definitely in tomorrow so you get all your stuff ready then you get a text at 4.30am saying don’t come in your on standby so you then sit there waiting an most of the time they don’t bother to even tell you you’re not in . The lads in the office act like there your mate then stab you in the back . They pick an choose ho they want in and if you don’t kiss there a...... you don’t get in . There just like bullies to be honest. Do your self a favour and stay away they just use you .

This company is an absolute joke. If you look carefully on the website there are two sets of Terms and Conditions. They change and thus your contract is then made with a different company called Parcels2go. DPD really needs to sort it's act out, it is meant o be one of the best. Chronopost in France had a far better customer experience, without all the bullsh*t that these people spout. Repeatedly told by them that parcel was lost and then found and then lost etc. The default position is "We will raise an investigation". I have been waiting 7 weeks for some contact reference a price for return from the local depot.... The worst bit is the ILLEGAL use of two sets of Terms and Conditions. Please DPD Local, do deny that this is not he case on a Public Forum, or please do take me to court or admit the mistake and change it!

The worst courier service I've ever encountered in my entire life. Three days in a row the driver turned up to my house, whilst I was at home waiting everytime and didn't even knock my door!!! Left a card and went, completely bizarre. Turned up 3 and a half hours early on day 3! I have a sticker covering my bell, as it does not work and a massive sign on my door to knock hard. I also given the instructions to Dpd over the phone, to tell the driver to knock on the door several times, really hard and the bell doesn't work, also to call my mobile if he has any problems, yet he still didn't not do it or call me. Guess they didn't even pass on the message?COMPLETE SHAMBLES. Will I ever get my delivery Dpd???
