“After losing my parcel and raising an investigation, DPD forward the claim forms so I could claim my money back.
In the forms I stated all the expenses I had with this parcel:
- receipt for each item present in the busy board
- receipt of busy board itself
- receipt of shipping label
- receipt of box used for shipping item
- receipt of taxes paid to import parcel into destination country.
The total value amounts to 95£. And I just received an email a refund of 50£ had been approved.
Not only this company is incapable of acting accordingly with the Consumer Rights Act, losing parcels and not showing accountability, they are also incapable of properly refunding the client.
Avoid at all costs!!”

I dropped off my package at a DPD drop-off point on May 13th, with the delivery scheduled for May 14th. It’s now May 19th, and my parcel has still not been delivered. When I contacted DPD customer service, they told me they are "unable to locate the package" and have to open an investigation, which could take up to 10 working days. That is completely unacceptable. How does a professional courier company just lose a parcel and then offer no immediate accountability or compensation? I trusted DPD to deliver something important, and instead I’m left with vague apologies and a long wait for an investigation. This is not just bad service – it’s irresponsible and unprofessional. I will not be using DPD again and would strongly advise others to think twice before trusting them with valuable items. Customer support was unhelpful and dismissive, and there’s no sense of urgency or respect for the customer’s time or trust. Extremely disappointed”
“Delivery man delivered to the wrong building, could not be contacted and customer service unwilling to help track where my package went in the end. They took a picture of the delivered parcel in front of the wrong door of a completely different building. How is this company allowed to exist with such horrible service! Disgusted!”
“Zero stars. I had a delivery scheduled for Friday, and I was home waiting for it. The courier, Jugraj, took a picture of the front of the court building but didn’t even bother to ring my flat doorbell to make the delivery. Instead, I got a message saying, "Sorry, our driver missed you," even though I was at home! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️”

“Driver tried to deliver to the wrong house yesterday; no way of contacting them other than an automated chat. The delivery initially rearranged for today then they postponed til Tuesday; when I asked the chat app if the driver would deliver to the correct house, I was told they would not guarantee that and they have no capability of adding a note to the delivery order. I mean, what is the point? It's the worst customer service I think I've ever encountered. And this sort of thing happens every single time I have to deal with DPD. Won't use anyone who uses DPD from now on. (My email direct to their socialmedia email address has gone unanswered so far, of course)”
“4 times same parcel not delivered . They sent text "sorry I missed you" and left a picture of a different house. I was at home to receive it every day. I gave detailed description of how to find the property. Got messages that they were running a little late. I Tried calling the depot. Automated answer. It recognises the phone number and tells me the parcel will be delivered at the specified time when that time has been and gone. Absolutely awful service. I'm still waiting for my parcel. Dreadful company. It doesn't even deserve the 1 star”
“Two attempts to deliver to my safe place. Both attempts show different photos of the attempt ( second one was my building at least). Package returned to sender, re sent out driver could not find my address (downtown Bedford). I am now working for DPD and have to collect my package from one of their shops. DPD should employ Amazon delivery drivers as the can always find my house and follow simple “safe place “ instructions. Shame I can’t give zero star review or I would.”

“They might be good in delivery your item, but this is only if you're home. Otherwise you can not collet from their depot nor redirect to pick up point. So parcel is going back to sender. What a waste of time and money.”
“Dpd were due to collect a parcel from my home address. They didn't bother turning up and stated I had told them there was nothing to collect. Funny, considering I hadn't spoke to them. Called customer service who said the driver hadn't followed correct procedure and I would receive a call back from the depot. A lady called me back shortly afterwards, practically calling me a liar, very defensive of the driver telling me he wouldn't just turn up for nothing because he pays his own petrol, so obviously I'm the liar. Even though I've sat waiting for the last 2 hours, no one has knocked the door, the dog hasn't barked which he always does at the door, but I'm the one who has it wrong. Frustrating to say the least. Worst company ever and the follow up call leaves you more put out than ever. Shocking behaviour from a company. Do not use if you value your goods and your sanity!!”
“I had a very frustrating experience with this company. My delivery did not arrive as scheduled, and the driver falsely reported that no PIN was provided, despite never knocking on my door. I arranged for a later delivery, but once again, they failed to show up.
When I called the depot, I encountered rude staff members (Catherine and Beatrice) who were dishonest and unhelpful. There were no managers available to escalate my complaint, and I felt there was no accountability for their actions. If they disagreed with my concerns, they would hang up on me. They even provided a complaints department number that redirected me back to the Crawley depot.
After five days of incompetence and wasted time, I had to cancel my £1900 delivery from Samsung due to the overwhelming frustration. My advice: if you value your time and peace of mind, steer clear of this company.”
“Driver didn't follow delivery instructions and when challenged said he was unaware of any instructions. What's the point of spending time making your delivery instructions clear if they are not passed on to the driver. I looked on their website to complain but wasn't able to figure out how.”
“I ordered a package that DPD were to deliver. I got a message saying “delivery attempted but I was not in and they would deliver to a pick up shop”
I called to complain. DPD confirmed the driver was three miles from my home when he sent the message saying he attempted to deliver. I informed them I could not pick up the parcel from the shop as I am presently housebound due to cancer treatment. They apologised and assured me they would deliver to my home. Four days letter I got a message from them telling me they had delivered to the pick up shop and I could collect it.
DPD are a company that let their drivers not attempt delivery and then expect you to do their job for them. Housebound or not DPD don’t care. It’s your problem not there’s.”
“Very disappointed, I would have not chosen this delivery service but the place I ordered from chose them. Assured next day delivery, cleared the day to make sure no issues with delivery but appears that driver delivered to wrong address. (Not at all my fault) And then DPD local cannot do something about it. (Then I have to be on the receiving end of the inconvenience) Very unacceptable and a very UNRELIABLE service.”

“The most shocking service amongst delivery companies! Had parcel since 16/12. Left safeplace and neighbours details as knew I'd be out. Driver couldn't be bothered to read the instructions or maybe just couldn't read. Took parcel back to depot and then lost it. Shambles of a company who last year killed 2 horses on my road driving like lunatics. Would never use out of choice”
“I don't even think this courier company deserves a one-star rating. Delivery is always late, and this is the second time it's happened. They consistently fail to deliver when they say they will. I definitely would not recommend this courier service to anyone. Very disappointing!”
