Absolutely abysmal and potentially a scam. Tip for actually getting the customer line to ring: You need to dial "141" before the number to withhold your number, then repeat "I need to speak to an advisor" while it asks you questions about 15 times and then it will ring through. However, once it's through, the Customer Service Agents don't help and lie about processing a refund when they don't actually have the information they would need to process a refund. Avoid at all costs, it's not worth the pain. They claim that my package was recalled to the service center about 10 minutes into my paid VIP delivery, after 5 failed delivery attempts. 4 of the reference photos are from the high street, they aren't even getting out of the car, even if you pay for VIP Delivery.

For the second time this week their driver Richard didn't fancy dropping off my parcel at my address. The first time he clearly saw the road works outside our address so decided to deliver to a random address god knows where, that parcel has never been seen again and is presently being "investigated". Today it's raining, still road works, poor little Richard clearly doesn't like putting any effort into his work. Apparently, like last time, the parcel will be taken to a drop off point miles from my house. Except last time the parcel wasn't "the right type" of parcel to leave at a drop off point. You can't make this stuff up!!! Avoid at all costs if you actually want to see your parcels......

I get it - someone else's bad review of a company is like "yeah yeah, it won't happen to me". But here's what you should know about DPD. They failed to collect from a shop FOUR DAYS in a row, meaning I had to retrieve my parcel from the shop and use another courier. In trying to get the payment refunded, I discovered how obfuscated DPD's customer service is arranged. To talk to a human, you have to 141 your call (or else it will just feed tracking blurb linked to your phone number, regardless of how irrelevant to your issue). Then wait forever. If you're not cut off, you're then told that they can't help you - you need to call DPD local. They are just as impossible to get through to. They will then tell you to use DPD local's website chat facility. Which doesn't exist. Eventually you find it exists on DPDs website. Then you get ignorant responses that don't read your actual words. Overall it took about two hours of time to get a paltry refund. The company clearly doesn't care about customer service and is arranged to make it as hard as possible to use THEIR time - you will instead waste plenty of yours.

If I could give minus stars I would. DPD - What a complete waste of time and effort. we have had many causes to complain. we are a platinum customer and yet they never reply to emails, they charge you for a failed collection even though the driver came in and said I haven't got room in the van for them. Correct me if I'm wrong but when you book a collection you have to put how many parcels are to be collected. 1) Why send a driver that has not got room in his van. 2) The drivers get paid per collection or failed collection. 3) We get charged £12.00 for a failed collection. 4) As long as the drivers GPS clocks he is outside the building they don't even have to get out the van. 5) He wanted to scan them and not take them, (not on your nelly sonny Jim, we got caught out by that scam before) Can anyone recommend a decent courier as DPD are far from that.

Rude & very aggressive driving from one of your local DPD drivers in High Wycombe! Driving just right up my A**E, beeping his horn, flashing his lights, swearing at me. I AM driving at the speed limit. UPDATE: we no reply from DPD I have now cancelled my contract with them for my business.

Normally I've not had a problem with DPD but this experience has been so awful I'll never send anything by DPD again, for the love of god read the reviews and do not use this company No one will lift a finger to help you They have lost both of my parcels I dropped off 2 parcels at my local drop off and got the slips as proof like normal. A few days later the recipient tells me nothing had come so I check the tracking and its still showing as "waiting sender to drop off" which I did days ago so I check the live chat and I'll get an update the following day... as you might have guessed no one got back to me. In my own time I even went to the drop off and they told me all their DPD parcels had been picked up. So I go through the live chat process again but this time no one even enters the chat, you go through the steps "await an agent" and then 10 minutes of nothing then the chat self ends I called ever single DPD number I could find on Google and every single one of them said "Oh that's DPD Local you have to go through the live chat" over and over again I said to them the live chat isn't working how do I contact DPD local and no one had any clue So I guess that's just it? They can just turn off their service and get to keep your parcel and money I can't even start the returns process being the parcel are showing as not dropped off yet Absolute joke -1000/10

As usual with DPD Local - poor delivery service, poor customer service, filled with dishonesty. A simple delivery, just a couple of boxes - first day didn't turn up. Second day lied about attempting delivery. No one that I can speak to. This is the reason that I ditched this company for my own business

Deception and fraud!! I paid for the delivery of the parcel, but it was not picked up and not delivered! It is impossible to contact the specified contacts. I regret that I didn't think to look at the reviews first ( I will complain to the Consumer Rights Society. This service should not be!

DPD are a SCAM! Dont P---ing Deliver. These reviews should have a Negative scale!! Minus. Minus. Parcel stuck in international hub due to processing error ? What is that?. Now they are telling it is prohibited. Seriously? 3 pieces of paper - copies of certificates. Spent 3 days on live chat getting the big brush-off. They know nothing. These live chat only send emails to the depot. And wait. And now, the parcel is being sent back? Why? They don't know. When? They dont know? What a shambles. They DON'T care! They got your money! They will use the live chat to BS you all the way.

Most miserable delivery company. No phone contact. Only chat. People have no ability to show listening skills there, just repeating same information over and over. Even in an usual circumstances, they are useless. I paid for 3-4 days delivery. It has been a month! DPD local online, apparently dont handle their deliveries themselves. I sent a parcel to France. So I placed order to DPD local online. Payment are directed to parcel2go. Customs are handled by dpd local and UPS handling in France. But apparently, DPD local online ONLY collects payments. I had 3 different tracking/reference numbers. They provide phone number online, but thats not their number. They are ONLY accessible via online chat. When I talked to DPD local export team, they said they are chasing docs from DPD local online, since they sent wrong documents in the first place. And telling me to contact them. Since when it is clients responsibility to get involved in internal processes ??? DPD ocal online says they dont know anything about it. They could not even see that custom fee paid, because they are not handling it ! Horrible and hope they soon be gone from the market for such a chaos in their structure and transparency ...

Parcel never delivered to India. Booked a 2 day Air Express delivery. Worst customer service, same response from different people even after a week of daily chat and calls. They are simply ridiculous and should shut down this cheating business.

If you value your item then please don't use these guys. I sent a set of ceramics, very well packaged and cushioned, to an eBay buyer recently. They were boxed securely, wrapped individually in bubblewrap and separated and cushioned with shredded cardboard and other cushioning materials. I took out the DPD Local 'insurance' to the max value of £50 to cover any loss or damage, and sent off by dropping at one of their parcel shops. Every one of the 6 Toby Jugs inside was smashed when the box was delivered to the buyer. Bad enough you'd think, but then they wriggle out of paying compensation as described as they say now that 'ceramics' are a 'prohibited item'. I used DPD Local as they were one of the three carriers listed when the eBay sale completed, by eBay. These guys are not only negligent and irresponsible in handling parcels, but read their small print VERY carefully if you think they will compensate you for anything they damage. They likely will wriggle out of that. I'd just avoid using them to transport anything you value and which might not work if they throw it about. Safer to find a more professional shipper. Good luck if you do decide to risk it - they're cheap, and the old adage applies - you get what you pay for.

The worst. Didn't show up - twice. Then lied about the fact they had been here at all. I took the day off work to deal with this. No apology, no refund. NEVER AGAIN, DPD!

Said my parcel would be delivered between 4:30 - 5:30 but never arrived, tracking then changed to customer refused parcel which was a lie as nobody came that day. Seller re arranged delivery for the next day and app said it was being delivered but again never came, chat online totally useless and don’t know why this has happened. Still no parcel and £114 out of pocket plus 2 wasted days waiting in for parcel to arrive. DO NOT USE THIS COURIER if you value your parcel. I thought Evri were the worst but these are down there with them.

I sent an item to a customer and it was damaged at the delivery depot. Set up an online refund and complaint and attached ALL evidence required. This wasn't good enough for DPD LOCAL as they spent the next 4 months asking for the same evidence I had given on numerous occasions. Because I didn't reply to their request for proof of purchase, which I had already sent (original invoice from Wicks) on numerous occasions they have closed my case. There's no contact phone no or email address and the only way forward is this useless online portal. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! DO NOT USE DPD LOCAL.

Arranged and paid for drop at local.drop of ro send to recipients. Parcel sat at where I dropped it for 2 days. I could not trace it other than it was registered at drop off point. I had no way of contacting DPD local. Used the Web from and I got a reply stating it was DPD local I needed to talk too, I was on DPD local website and the phone number just keeps dropping constantly on transferring to agent. Refund cannot be reclaimed as apparently the item is in transit, I went and reclaimed where I left it on the 7th December, today the 9th December.
