Pointless company that under-delivers, insults customer's intelligence, implies that the customer is lying, they themselves lie by saying their drivers only put a calling-card through after knocking and only get paid for succesful deliveries yet they admitted that leaving a parcel at the post-office is considered a succesful delivery therefore they aren't really incentivised to do their job properly. I was told the previous day that i could choose a delivery slot once the delivery leaves the depot, USUALLY AFTER 11AM according to the message yet they attempted to deliver at 07:25, my wife and i were up, in silence, sipping our coffees at 0700, we heard something discretely pushed through our letterbox and thought it was the postman or a takeaway menu because it was so discrete, 5mins later i see the calling card, absolutely DID NOT KNOCK, i swear on my honour and all the things i care for. Nobody knocked yet the customer service is being absolutely unhelpful, implying I'm lying, giving misleading information, hanging up calls because they stick to an apology hoping it sorts it all out, hear that it isn't sufficient, repeat their apology and hang up, very unprofessional and of absolutely no help whatsoever, they're angels in their eyes yet they're despicably disgusting in my eyes with their practices, UNETHICAL MONEY-GRABBING COMPANY THAT INSULTS THEIR CUSTOMERS THEY UNDER-DELIVER TO”
“I want to share with you my experience with this company. I was sending 2 boxes from the UK to the DE warehouse. I was sending it to my own warehouse. So as received the phone number I entered the UK phone number, as I have no DE phone number. In the DPD system where I was booking delivery was no error message or information that it should be DE phone number. When Parcels arrived at DE, I observed that there is something wrong. I contacted them, they said that they will look into the problem, but after 2 weeks it came back to my warehouse in UK. When I contacted regarding delivery refund as parcel was not provided they, told me that they will not refund me as I entered UK phone number. But hold on, I entered what was requested by their system and there was no message or note that it should be DE phone number.
Contacted support center, they just look like switching brains off.
It was the last time I was using their service. Well done, you lost customer that sending 10 boxes per month.”
“Driver never attempted to deliver my parcel saying it would be delivered to shop as we weren’t in. We were here & looking out for the delivery. Now delivered to shop NOT local to us. Completely unsatisfactory.”
“The service after buying is not honest.
First the quality for the price that I paid (+ big local taxes) was a bad experience. I can understand the argument of the stains but not for the scratches that was on shoes. Then the size of the shoes are 2.5 more than the real size.
To return them with a shipment that you ask will coast me a lot.”

“Failed to collect two parcels from the drop off shop for a month was given every reason possible all false, third parcel was scanned in then scanner didnt communicate to driver so driver refused to collect it as not on his system, hours and hours wasting time trying to resolve this complete nightmare dont send anything valuable with them not worth the stress.”

“IRRESPONSIBLE - NOT DELIVERING COVID TESTS
I've been waiting at home for two days and both days I received an automated message saying "could not deliver". Rang and chased it up and was promised call backs to resolve that never arrived, even with the urgency of it being a covid test!
Theres a global pandemic and this company is not delivering the tests needed. How irresponsible!
Avoid at all cost - if this is their service standard for delivering medical resources you can imagine what their service is like all together.”

“I will keep this review as short and concise as possible, and detail my experience with DPD as a small business:
1) My account manager setup my account for prices to be calculated on actual weight, not volumetric weight. My first week racked up £600 as the account was setup incorrectly, and was billed on volumetric weight.
This was answered with a link to the terms and conditions, however I stated that my contract suggested otherwise.
After many emails, a credit note was raised for DPD's error, although I was still charged the full £600 even though DPD made the mistake.
2) As my account was setup for prices to be charged on 'deadweight' AKA actual weight, I was told all surcharges etc would be based on this.
Little did I know, the 'Covid Aircharge' is billed around a week after a parcel is sent, but is calculated on volumetric weight. (Even though I was told otherwise).
After contacting my account manager, she said, 'I have just double checked and yes they are actually charged on volumetric weight'. (Admitting another mistake). My emails asking to rectify this have been ignored multiple times.
(Quick example, current covid surcharge to USA is £4.55 per kg. A box of 75x40x40 which weighs 2kg has a volumetric weight of 24kg, which brings the surcharge amount to £109.20, rather than £9.10 as I was told).
3) After sending over 2000 parcels with a small fraction being damaged with other couriers, my first week with DPD had a parcel completely smashed up). I tried to claim, sending over 10 photos detailing all of the damage, label, internal and external packaging. DPD are still refusing the claim and asking for different photos each time, even though they have all been submitted.
This is my experience with DPD local, and they have caused me more stress than any other company I have worked with. Their mistakes have cost be hundreds of pounds in refunds, and 2 weeks worth of work to be wiped out by their incompetence.
As a small business owner, I would recommend using ParcelForce or UPS for your business and avoid using DPD.”

“First of all, I did not receive the qr code with my first order so I had to buy another one and then refund the first one.
But most importantly, they charged me fees for import tariffs after I have sent my parcel. There was no warning about these tariffs when I ordered the service. This fee exceeded the price I paid for sending it in the first place.”
“1 star even more. Theres no option to put 0 star. I was waiting for my parcel to be collected. Driver came and press the buzzer and went off while talking with someone using head phone. Not even wait 10 seconds to open the door. (everything recored in CCTV footage attached ) I bring up the parcel and he refuse to take, saying its already late. I buy the service for next day delivery and it wasn't gone through. I know DPD local don't care so better contact ombudsman service.”
