Avoid at all costs , only interested in saling you there extra insurance ( which costs a lot) and If you don't take it you will have to listen to the threats about how much they are going to charge you for all the damage what going to happen to the car even know you haven't even left there yard or damaged anything!!! ,... The sales man will treat you like something he has stood on because he's not going to make any commission of you !! , Make sure you check the car and if it has been washed wait until it's dry before moving check for every scratch or mark make sure you mark it on paper work and take photos if it's raining I would just cut your losses and leave without the car , in short it's a complete nightmare company to rent from I rent every week for work and this was a once only time spend more money and you won't have all the rubbish to deal with !!!! .

I had a meeting in BRIGHOUSE at 09:30 and had the car booked for 8am. I turned up at 8:10 and the car was not ready until 8:45 and when it was finally ready I was handed the keys with only 1/8 of a tanks in it so I had to stop and fuel up on the way making me even later. This was made harder to swallow after being hit with a £95 charge to my credit card for fuel bond. I put £25 into the tank and returned it with over 1/4 of a tank in it but no compensation for the additional payment made for the fuel. The car was filthy when I collected it to and had to stop and clean the inside of the windscreen so I could see to drive safely. I would not use this company again for hire of any vehicle. It was not cheap either as I had taken an executive car to cover it.

WARNING ⚠️ ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Visited the Edinburgh Airport depot in May 2018. Total shambles from the start. Had to wait 1 hour for the shuttle bus. The agent, Craig, then gave me false information about my insurance cover. I was forced to pay £147 extra (which I later found out I didn’t need). There was no windscreen washer in the vehicle. I bought some fluid myself at a garage nearby...... only to find the washer unit was broken and it poured straight through on to the pavement. Graeme, the branch manager, was rude and totally unprofessional. I escalated a complaint and after 12 days, the Regional manager, Kevin, closed the case. Totally disgusted and I’m taking matters further with my Credit Card company and solicitor!

I paid for my rental well in advance and expected to pick up the car I had paid for. Unfortunately my flight was delayed so I phoned the Manchester Airport branch as soon as I knew about the delay to let them know I was late. They said they would put a note on the file - they didn't. My lateness was compounded by me waiting in the wrong place for the shuttle - I had phoned them twice to check I was in the right place and was told twice I was. I phoned again to be told I was in the wrong place! When I arrived eventually to get the car there was a huge queue. When I finally got to the front I received a curt 'you should have been here at 1030'. I explained about my phone call but was told they didn't have the car I had paid for and I would have to pay an additional £54. Surely an airport branch should expect delays? She also tried to tell me my excess insurance probably wasn't good enough and wanted me to pay more. I certainly wasn't giving them any more money. It took another half hour for the car to appear. When I took it back I was told there were marks on it and I had to point out that everything was covered on the initial review. Obviously they were after yet more money. I complained via the website and received a totally inadequate reply from the 'manager' with a 'case closed' message at the end. So I emailed customer services who didn't bother to reply. These people are a bunch of sharks who try every trick in the book and should be avoided at all costs. Cheap for very good reasons.

As a 51 year old professional person living in Ireland but regularly travelling to the UK, I have hired cars on numerous occasions. On 16/6/2018 I had to go to the UK due to a family illness. So at short notice I booked a car with Easirent from Liverpool Airport. I booked the car from 4pm and was told on the voucher to call a local Liverpool phone number on arrival. We arrived at 4.40 as the flight was slightly delayed. After collecting our bags I rang the number provided as they were to “meet and greet” at the airport. Not knowing where the company was based, I tried ringing them. It took approximately 50 minutes to get through to them (at one stage the call was answered by An operative from Easirent but she said she was in the Liver buildings and would put me through but again the call rang out). Eventually, my phone call was answered and I was given 2 options, a) they would pick me up for £3 or b) I could walk for 5 minutes to the office. To be fair, it was only 5 minutes (once we knew where it was). On arriving at the desk and waiting for another 20 minutes behind another customer (whilst the phone was continually ringing but not being answered), I was asked why I had only got there at 6pm. I explained that we couldn’t get through on the phone and didn’t know where they were based, only to be told that because we were so late, the “system” had taken the car and we had to take the higher model due to company policy. I have encountered this before with reputable hire companies and they give you the higher model free of charge. Not Easirent. For a hire that originally was costing €82 for 3 days. The higher model would that be an additional £90 ( originally I was asked for £180 extra). I asked for a lower model and was refused. I was told there was nothing else they could do “due to company policy”. Whilst waiting another customer called to say their flight would be delayed only to be given the exact same story that I had been given i.e. their “systems” had given the car away. This is a tiny office with hardly any cars so what they were saying was complete bullshit. I am not one to write reviews (and have never written one before) however, for anyone ever thinking of using Easirent - don’t. They are a completely Mickey Mouse company so pay a bit more and go with the reputable companies. I think I am fairly street smart but this feels like a complete scam and on speaking to a person in the “real” car hire companies (where we rebooked) was told this is a regular occurrence with Easirent

The moment I walked into the door at Belfast I knew this was a terrible company. I booked through expedia and the rent was a good price ay £95 for 5 days. The booking in assistant tried to HARD SELL extra cover which I declined - he was not happy (they get 10% commission). They took £1250 deposit from my card and kept telling me that I would lose it all if there was a stone chip on return of the car. I knew from the booking-in experience that they would try and con something from my on return of the car, so of course I drive very carefully. When I returned they went to look at the car and said they could smell smoke and that they would take £250 from my £1250 deposit. I argued the fact, as it was pure lies, however I knew that trying to contest there and then was hopeless. It was so annoying I felt like physically wrecking their whole office. Today I raise a complaint on their system, however expect nothing but denial from their side therefore I will raise a small claims court case against them in 16 days time. 90% plus of their customers give them 1 star - this is not a car rental company this is a very evil band of opportunist crooks as quite clear. I will feed back on here the outcome of the small claims court case.

Shocking to know that a company like this is allowed to operate in the UK. I have never felt so ripped off by any company in over 20 years. Their tactics are underhand and well practiced and I do not know how the staff who practice what they are shown can sleep at night. Totally wicked.

We rented a car from Birmingham airport Easirent .... what a big mistake- Found it difficult to find area to be collected, after 4 phone calls and a long wait we were taken to a warehouse and scruffy yard. Overpowering and incompetent man called Moh was immediately asking for a good review and then we could have a whole 5 pounds off our next hire. We did examine the car and checked the paintwork. The car was clean and already running for us, so we drove away reasonably content. Half an hour down motorway we get a phone call saying they still had our ‘key’ so we had to turn around and drive back - After 2 days we returned the car and we were horrified at the attitude of the staff - They claimed we had done 3 different bits of damage, we did stand our ground and eventually 2 of the ‘ damages’ rubbed off. The third was an incredibly small dent which we had trouble seeing, even our phones cannot pick it up. After an hour of negotiations the price dropped from 220 to 170 pounds - a real scam and extremely nasty. They know the customers time will run out as they need a lift to the airport to catch their flight. Be very careful, or better still hire from another company..

cheating, forced sales, ignorant .. cannot find equivalent expression for their service through reantalcars.com , hired 1day car from easirent for £16++ , from Manchester airport (return same place) -31-05-18 at the sale counter, easirent sale person asked to provide details(as usual as at other renters) and asked me any additional cover I want - simply said no I don’t need it. Then sale person clicked all pages to end acknowledge page on electronic sign pad - saying for fuel need to enter pin on card machine now . while doing card machine and asking if this payment for fuel deposit and will it get back if return same fuel level as collection, the sale person didn’t answer (but pin was entered already) - and sale person went inside saying he will get key for me As I didn’t know what is I paid for I questioned same to another sale person she said there is two options of fuel : deposit(£95) or full tank(at local garage price) and she checked for me that I paid more than £96.16 and paid for full tank It juz 1day hire for return :Manchester airport and Liverpool, juz to drop all my things at a safe place. So requested cancel the payment of £96.16 and to change to deposit(£95)option to get deposit bk if return same level fuel. Sale person picked a call briefly and saying it’s now sorted and I can go for collection - as I feel strange , I asked receipt of what I paid nowand the paperwork for T&C , but sale person said I will not get issued any reciepts(inc T&C) for what I just paid but jus a yellow copy where it marked fuel level in it- as I can go and see their rental agreement on their website. I felt not right even I saw it’s written on their website says 95 or full tank - I won’t get any receipt or any paper for what I paid now - as I paid £96.16 (just once on card machine) not deposit(£95) - so I went back in from collection place to sale counter to write something on my yellow copy before I left- the first sale person acting too busy to deal with me and another sale team came to say that easirent will not write any thing on it or provide any receipt assuring only it’s fuel deposit will get back if return same level fuel as collection. But 4 days later my bank was debited twice by easirent: 96.16 £95 when I called and email easirent they asked me to go on their website to open a Dispute where the provided link has no option to open a case. So I wrote to Rentalcars.com- what they replied me was 1) £95 I got debited without Consent was for fuel deposit - which will be asked to refund back 2) £96.16 which I paid on card machine without issuing me a receipt or proof of what I paid at sale counter was - Pre Paid Tank of Fuel £34.30 Super Peice of Mind Cover £43.00 Personal Accident Insurance £12.00 Tax on the above £6.68 Total £96.16 and £34.30 will be asked to refund me - where I asked all of £96.16 to cancel at the sale counter- and easirent said it was cancelled and easirent didn’t provide any 1) payment recipes 2) cancellation receipt 3) proof of what service is sold - even requesting even today 09-06-18 , the £96.16 was debited full from me - even they have their car with full tank of fuel returned within 24 hrs. It’s such a bad experience, not just one sale person fault but it’s like setting up and cheating in group. I suspect rentalcars.com is part of that mafia like rental ppl xx

To all victims of Easirent, If you believe you have been scammed by Easirent, please take a moment to read this post. I am currently engaged in a lawsuit with Easirent and need your help to bring these morally bankrupt conmen to justice. If you wish, I can also walk you through the steps required to recover the money Easirent scammed from you. I rented a car from Easirent’s Heathrow branch on the Early May bank holiday weekend this year, and fell victim to their, I believe, fraudulent business practices. They rented me a filthy car with minor scuffs and scratches all over – I was unhappy with the dirtiness but I accepted it since I thought “you get what you pay for”. What I didn’t expect was that they would try to fraudulently charge me for scuffs that I didn’t cause and that was already there when they rented me the car. When I returned the car, they pointed to scuffs on the wheel alloy and charged me £325 for the damage. I obviously told them that I did not cause those scuffs, but after a while they turned belligerent and verbally abusive. Not wanting to subject myself to their abuse, I left and tried to reason with them by email, and when that didn’t work I sued them. They have now admitted in court documents that they have previously charged another customer who rented the car before me for that same exact damage, and portray it as an honest mistake on their part. I am however, like most of you who have been there personally, convinced that it was a deliberate fraud, a systemic fleecing of all their customers. I am therefore seeking exemplary damages against them in court, and will need to prove that they were actually fraudulent. I have attached this document (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1iJ9mpin8hk_LIUL_C_HH3eZ4jBnsTdre) in my claim against them, which is but a mere sampling of the accusations of fraud against Easirent online, and I’m sure there are many more similar stories out there. If you have previously posted a review accusing Easirent of fraud, or if you have such an experience but have not posted it before, please could you copy your story into the attached template (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Va6IvL84vlyZdQ9fzPN5qCZ3yjKp7ZK-S9Ob_FBVsHI), sign it, and email it to me so that I may submit it to the court as witness testimony. I am trying to collect as many of these as possible, so that I may prove a pattern of fraud before the courts. My email is BenSuesEasirent@gmail.com If you have been fleeced by Easirent within the last 6 years, please feel free to contact me as well. I can walk you through the online claims portal with the English courts, so that you can at least recover your couple hundred pounds from Easirent. You only need maybe half an hour, and this works even if you are overseas. Please also feel free to email me if you have any questions.

AVOID. Picked car up at Luton airport offsite office. They take £1250 deposit. I failed to spot scuff marks on an alloy wheel at this time. When I dropped the car back the staff member checked the car and went directly to the front nearside wheel and recorded the marks. I think he knew they were there! I had to sign again acknowledging the marks which I told him I had not caused. If I had not signed then bye bye full deposit. A week later there is £325 charge on my credit card. No notification of the charge was received. The standard response is - you signed the documents. This is no doubt well rehearsed and repeated. Reported to trading standards and hoping this review and hundreds more like it will get this outfit shut down. SCAMMERS

This is a scam company that lures customers in with low rates and camouflages unfavourable contractual policies with small print. When I arrived at the very inconveniently located Gatwick office I was pressured to change to a more expensive rate to avoid a credit card block of more that £1000. When I said that was ok, the agent added that a refund would be made ‘after 8 days’ to my card. This is a very odd policy. Most reputable care rental companies refund any deposit immediately after return of the car. When I informed the agent that I would contest the charge with American Express if I felt the refund took too long, he refused to give me a car. The three customers in front of me also received the same sort of treatment. It is clear that the staff of this disreputable company have been instructed not to rent cars for the advertised low rates. Simply put, this is a dishonest company. AVOID!

It all started extremely well, I paid for the full insurance at the time of booking, only to find out after I dropped the car off two days later that I had been charged £43.00 for one day 0% excess. Phoned the Gatwick office and the very off hand man I had dealt with two days before who had been charming, turned extremely rude and hung up!

Unfortunately there is no option to give 0 star!! I seriously don’t have words to explain how terrible their service is. You start the experience with a long bus wait and journey from Edingburgh airport to the rental office, the hours of wait starts pissing you off, then you realise that even though you opted to get extra insurance while ordering, they take £1250 in advance as a deposit in case you damage the car! You probably end up with no money in your account to enjoy your holiday.. They have the most terrible offices with the rudest staff who provide no help.. We ended up waiting for 2 hours and leaving without taking the car as we were so fed up with everyhing about Easirent. Avoid at all cost..

The online booking process went easily and swiftly enough and the price was very competitive, but the experience at the rental company Easirent nr Manchester Airport was far from easy, taking an unacceptable amount of time and patience. I do not plan to book with Easirent ever again. The staff were adequately friendly, but it was a very long and slow process to complete the paper work and get the car to the customer (in my case it was approx 1 hour from arrival at the car rental place until I was able to leave with the rental car). The car return was somewhat quicker (15 minute wait for the return to be registered and then a 20minute wait for the shuttle bus to arrive and for me to be driven to the airport) - But again, this is absolutely not acceptable. Luckily I returned the car 3 hours before my flight and so I was not in danger of missing it, but under normal circumstances the customer would be risking missing a flight with those unexpectedly long turn around times. I got the impression that the Manchester Airport Easirent office was understaffed and not at all prepared for the amount of customers arriving. All the customers collecting their rental cars at the same time as me were having to wait a long time and there was a lot of complaining & dissatisfaction expressed. One couple told me they had to wait one and a half hours to get their car. Also there was much dissatisfaction regarding the blocking of £1250 or similar amount on a credit card to cover excess (for those who had taken a separate excess insurance policy that was offered during the online booking). If that amount had not been available on my credit card, I could only have rented the car if I had paid for another insurance with Easirent to reduce the excess. I have rented countless cars all over the world and no company has ever needed to block such an amount. It was confusing and, though I was told that it was all explained in the small print, I think customers need to be made more aware of this during the booking process so they can prepare. Every customer I saw at at the time I was there, was surprised by this policy and one customer ended up cancelling the booking because of it. Furthermore I chose to take the car with a full tank and return with full tank. When I got the car I was told it was 3/4 full and so I was to return it 3/4 full. I refused...How are you supposed to know when you have filled the tank 3/4? It was then suggested I could have the car with a full tank if I wait another 15mins - time for them to drive to the petrol station and fill the tank. Seeing as I had already had a 45 minute wait and was not in a hurry, I accepted that option and we managed to resolve the problem. As I said, the staff were friendly and cooperative enough, but, in my opinion, the organisation, efficiency and customer care need serious attention.
