“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was helpful
and a joy to have as a resource. The flat was roomy, bed was just the right firmness, neighborhood was fun and comfortable and the price was an excellent value. We will definitely book again.”
“The flat was comfy and well stocked. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. The secure parking was a bonus, however the parking place was tight when an people carrier is parked next to you.The flat is located near to Meadow Bank shopping area where Sainsburys is located.
We found the bus services into the centre were very frequent and cheap in comparison to where we live. I would certainly recommend this flat to friends.”
“The apt was ideally situated, 20 min beautiful walk into town, peaceful and tranquil place. The landlady was delightful and was happy to accommodate our leaving tine, the apartment was clean and well equipped, was well informed about amenities nearby. Would return and would recommend it.”
“We have just came back from staying two nights (Fri/Sat) in the apartment. Lovely apartment with a great location. Exactly what we were all looking for.”
“Well presented flat with good views of the water of Leith. Within waking dishes of good places to eat and 10 minutes to Britannia and Ocean Terminal. Excellent bus service. (Edinburgh buses don't give change). Only draw back was noise from neighbours.”
“It was a nice flat and most of the attractions were close by. Garage was small but manageable for small hatchbacks. Overall, a nice clean flat and I would recommend it.”
“The flat provided plenty space for 4 adults and 3 children. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and everything we needed. Edinburgh is a brilliant place for a holiday and being so central made it even better. We read a few reviews complaining about the noise but for the middle of a busy city centre street we were surprised how quiet it was. If anything lets it down, its the entrance way but we would definitely rent this flat again.”
“The stay is very pleasant, the Flat is more than adequate for a family and location is close to all tourist attractions.
The house is clean, spacious and well maintained and the owners are very kind and helpful.
It's good value for money,Me and my family enjoyed the stay very much and would strongly recommend for a stay at edinburgh”
“The flat was roomy and perfectly adequate for our needs. It was a short walk to the royal mile and grassmarket area. The host was very friendly and accommodating. Overall I would recommend!
The good: location, price, and size
The less than good: depending on which side of the flat you're on, the noise level varied...walls were thin and you can hear the main door slamming (2 floors below) in the front room. In the back rooms it was quiet, with the only noise from birds squawking in the morning.”
“Very spacious well-appointed appartment with good contemporary fittings and interesting pictures. Some light bulbs missing and unfortunately a bedside table fell apart otherwise we were very comfortable.”
“A clean, comfortable, modern flat with secure gated parking, a lift and free wifi. 15-20 min stroll into the city centre or via Holyrood Palace, also there are frequent buses just around the corner. There's a retail park (including Sainsburys) 5 mins walk away. We were greeted on arrival and given a bottle of wine and a bottle of milk. Excellent communication (email and text), the owners were very friendly and helpful and even came round one evening to help me connect my laptop to the wifi! We would definitely rent the flat again and recommend it to others.”
“Faboulous, spacious apartment layout for huge family numbers. Coming up from New Zealand + Singapore, this was certainly home away from home. We thouroughly cherised every day of our stay. Even took photos to show other friends and family. Excellent Location. Very Central, walking distance to all ammenities. Could not have asked for better. We will be back.”
“Apartment with excellent location, next to Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. Wonderful views of the new city.
The shower was old and did not always work.
Reliability and excellent treatment by Edinburg-flat.
We recommend it, the flat was like a home.”
“We really enjoyed our stay. Near Haymarket, we were away from the centre but only a few minutes on the bus (we got a weekly pass for our stay)With Lidl and Co-op close by, and Sainsbury's and tesco a little further away, it was perfect. Once again, Edinburgh flats came through and found us a place perfect for our needs and budget! Thank you!”
“We only stayed 5 nights in this wonderful apartment being equipped with everything you need. Its cosiness and central, but quiet, location makes it perfect to get a feeling for the city.”
“This flat was an excellent choice for staying over the weekend.
It has cozy bedrooms, a comfortable living room, a fully-equipped, clean kitchen and two modern bathrooms with a shower each. Everything was in a clean and orderly state.
The flat is located about 20 minutes by foot from the city center. The walk is uphill, but there is a bus stop a few yards down the road (the 42 takes you to Prices Street). The street is somewhat busy with a bit of traffic even during nighttime, but keeping hte windows closed can mostly eliminate the noise.
There is a supermarket, ATM, and bakery just down the street (~2 min. walk), along with several pubs and restaurants in the area (no need to go dining downtown at tourist prices).
The flat is just above a Pizza Hut takeout and a Chinese takeout, but this is not noticeable at all inside the flat, neither by noise nor smells.
The contact with the owner (who does indeed live here) was very friendly and uncomplicated.
I can definitely recommend this flat.”
“We found this apartment to be a very clean and well maintained basic apartment. It had a good spacious living room with a small kitchenette at the rear,it also had a very good pull out double bed sofa. the main bedroom was very big and the single bedroom was a good size too.Edinburgh centre is only 15 mins away by bus or taxi from the main street in Newington.which is only a two min walk from the apartment.we would certainly reccomend it for a visit to Edinburgh.”
