“Moved into a house that turns out to be close to a Butler Fuels oil depot and gets lorry noise at night. Ordered 3 window plugs using 4-inch thick foam and 1cm extra height/width as suggested. Delivered promptly and I could push them into the window frames at night to reduce lorry noise (we also installed sound-reducing double glazing but that was not enough by itself). Noise not eliminated but noticeably reduced, and that plus more light being blocked out by the foam meant we were able to sleep better. Hopefully this will last.”
