“Ordered online, drove 15 miles to collect, the parts were considerably more expensive than other suppliers online (£31 when I could get them for £15 pair) but I needed them asap, so you pay for the convenience. Got home and went to fit my parts, 2 x boot struts. Only to discover that there was just one in the box. I checked the box, which states should be 2 in a box. Checked website and it stated price was for both sides. Returned to the store and explained the situation to the store assistant. Who was very apologetic, checked stock, which was zero, then informed me that he will order this in and I could collect the missing boot strut free of charge the next day. I returned the next day, different store assistant on the counter. I explained the situation to him and that a part had been ordered free of charge. He looked puzzled and stated that this not how these boot struts were sold. That they are sold individually, price on the website was for each strut! So £31 each, obviously making it £62 for the pair!!! I explained that the box stated there should be 2 on the box and the online listing stated that the price was for both sides. Assistant advised that this was incorrect, the listing meant that yes there are 2 in a box, but these are sold individually and the online listing of both sides didn’t mean the price was for both sides, but that the part was not handed LH or RH, and would fit both sides. I didn’t want to argue but I explained that the listing was very misleading, and that I could purchase a pair of boot struts elsewhere online for £15, as opposed to £62! Plus I had wasted my time and 90 miles, in the 3 x 30 mile round trips going back and forth to try and get this sorted. I asked for and received a refund, but left the store feeling frustrated. Overall very disappointed in the service, inconsistent advice given by different store assistants, misleading listing and ludicrously expensive price for something I could purchase elsewhere online for less than a quarter of the price ECP would try to charge. I have used ECP for many, many years, but I have to say this situation has left me feeling extremely frustrated, out of pocket with fuel, ECP have wasted my time and I will not be using them again in the future.”

“I avoid coming here as the Staff are so slow and just give a don’t care attitude , Catford branch London , you order your parts and then wait while the stock is brought out , just waiting , even if it’s not busy , you just wait at their mercy, totally unnecessary , when your parts are brought out they almost slam them on the counter and walk away , no apology nothing . Get a move on and get some customer service training .”

“Hi, I wanted to make a complaint. I ordered 2 shock absorbers online with delivery to the address. As I wanted to mount them to the car, it turned out that one shock absorber was used and not working. I went to the nearest store in Cardiff Regents Trade Park, Ocean Way, Galdames Pl, Cardiff CF24 5HF. I returned a used shock absorber and asked if there was a new one in stock. Unfortunately, there was no so I asked for a different brand. It was available but at a price of £ 23 more. I am attaching photos. I asked if I would get a discount due to the situation. The seller assured that the price of another company is £ 95. And the price of £ 73 is after the discount. After a while, I checked the price. I had a booked slot in the garage for a replacement for which I also had to pay extra. So I was cheated twice by Carparts employees. A very unprofessional approach to the client. I will not leave it like that for sure”

“Travelled to shop to collect an order and was told to come back the following day, even though my order was clearly reserved for that day. They didn't even go and look. In addition the staff member was condesending and superior when asked about anothe item. Extremely poor service and no customer care.”
