“Guildford store are great. I ordered a bike in Feb and I really cannot fault the service. Staff were really helpful and assisted with everything from set up to accessories. I have been back several times and always received the same great level of service. I was due to ride the 100 and discovered a flat and hole in my tyre the day before. Fraser was great he fitted the new tyres for me and didn't charge me anything other than the product cost. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend”

“Just collected my Specialized hybrid from the Reading store. I was served by Ella C who was absolutely fantastic, she was extremely knowledgeable and helped to set the bike up for me. I purchased lights and a cage from Instore, she helpful fitted these for me without asking. Great staff like this means I will be a repeat customer, and will deafinatley recommend this store to all. Great work Ella.”

“I had a great service from the Maidstone store from the moment I walked through the door. I really had no idea where to start with buying a new bike as I am in my fifties and have not had a push bike since I was a teenager. A member of staff approached me and was friendly understanding and did not make me feel like a fool. He advised me on frame and wheel size then got a a display bike and set it up for me. Let me ride it round the car park told me that he thought that I was cramped on it and I could feel the same. We then went back into the store and another bike came out with a bigger frame and we went through the same process again. This time the bike was the right size but not what I wanted we then looked through the available bikes on the computer and I choose one to buy. After a few weeks the store called to say it was there and I went to pick it up and the same process was followed again. Result of the store staffs patience and understanding I am very happy with my bike and Evans have a very happy customer”

“I have visited the Evans branch in Chelmsford on a number of occasions over the last two weeks and have found the staff very helpful and extremely knowledgeable especially Callum, Josh and the machanic Rob. I would be happy to recommend this branch if you need help with anything cycling related.”

“Arrived at 9am at Evans Cycles Spitalfields to fix a tube valve, 'Good Guy Greg' sorted me out with an on the spot rear tube replacement. Greg had finished quicker than Carlos could put the order through. I was out the door and on my way at 9.15. Cheers guys!”

“Went to the Bath street shop in Glasgow for a flat tire, change the breaks and some other stuff... Lovely staff, very helpful and competent ! Had the feeling to leave with a brand new bike and not an empty wallet which was great ! Will definitely be back !!!”

“The issue here was that the information sent over email confirming order dispatch was not aligned with reality. this could well be a ticketing system processing orders from the website, cleared funds then the warehouse having a target to process orders. Purchased on the 06.04 with a dispatch notice received on the 10.04 stating anticipated delivery 12.04. The couriers website DX doesn't track which can be extremely disheartening. The stated dispatch email was not correct. I spoke with Evans through their on line chat daily from the 12.04. On the 14.04 the staff member tracked the bike to the warehouse and confirmed the following day it had been picked up by DX the courier. Arrived this morning at 07:30 with a call from the driver. If there was no information detailed above, things may have been less worrisome. All in all, i got my bicycle in 9 days from purchase over the bank holiday and the help desk were helpful. The 4 star is honest, their IT system could well be what is lacking and causing concern as it did for myself. My Specialised arrived pristine, slight adjustment to the front derailleur was needed but in fairness, in the grander scheme of things with current climate of non-normal times. Most of the drama was from me believing everything i read on reviews. Wasn't at all bad. Very happy chap with my shiny new bicycle”

“Recently had a vintage Evans road bike re-assembled & checked at the Chelmsford branch. Rob T & his colleague demonstrated enthusiasm, & a high degree of professionalism, talking through what was practical & what was advisable to replace. It took about a week to finish, & now the bike looks & rides like new. The result & customer service given was excellent. If any problems or spares are needed in future, then Rob T at Chelmsford will be my choice.”

“in school i am doing this as part of my course work and as Evans cycles is going to help me get a good grade i will give it a good review however from this site i can tell the business is bad so i lowered it to 4 stars”
