Nice quality lounge but over crowded, very hard to find a seat.

The food that was available was good. However, at 12.30 when we arrived one of the lunch time items had already run out. The salad bar was good, fortunately. Just one thing re. nut allergies. One of the breads had nuts , but there wasn't a notice to say that. Yes, there is a notice on the wall where the knives and forks are stored, warning people that some food items contained nuts. But, I took one of the breads and was surprised to find nuts as an ingredient. Otherwise, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere in the lounge.

Having already tried the terminal 1 Escape lounge previously, we thought we’d try the Aspire lounge instead before our flight to New York. We enjoyed the experience and made full use of the free WiFi but sadly we were dissapointed with a few things. The breakfast options weren’t replenished very often so this resulted in confused customers stood around scrounging for food and looking for members of staff. When the hot food was topped up it was quickly devoured which created a vicious cycle but as a result I did manage to grab a bacon sandwich and a pastry or two. Couldn’t fault the range of hot drinks available but was surprised to find out you had to queue for an alcoholic drink from the bar which only had one member of staff on. Surely it would’ve made more sense to fill a fridge full of bottled beers and small wines? Or hire more bar staff! The views across the runway were good and helped pass the time before our flight but I noticed at least two departure screens were faulty but no one seemed to be fixing them. I would’ve expected a slicker operation considering the price we paid and won’t be planning to revisit this lounge anytime soon unfortunately

Peaceful space away from the bustle of the airport.

The lounge was was excellent as always with comfy seating, quiet atmosphere, refreshments plentiful plus the WiFi, BBC news and flight information. My only compliant is about the staff, they weren't very accommodating, helpful or pleasant and I had asked one of the assistants to clear our table which she failed to do.

The drinks cabinets were well stocked and there was a good atmosphere in the room. Dirty plates and cutlery were cleared away quickly and efficiently However, the chairs were grubby with spilt food ingrained into them. The decor looked shabby and looked as though it needed a lick of paint and some of the tables were damaged. Food choices were limited and at times there was no hot food on the counter and any kind of service to replenish it was slow and the result was that when it was, within two minutes it was gone again. Some of the "clean" cups and glasses still had lipstick marks on so it looks as though no attention was paid to this by staff when re-stocking them

Nice quiet area to have breakfast before our flight. Did think we would have been able to have something hot, even toast, that was a bit disappointing after a long drive, but continental breakfast was next best thing.

Easy to book, and the lounge was quiet which was nice, but it's very small and far too hot. The selection of food and drink wasn't as extensive as expected and I'm fairly sure that the other (cheaper) lounge feels like better value for money. I won't be going back to the 'Plus' lounge as it feels more like a 'minus'.

The lounge offers relaxation but having visited other executive lounge i do not think it offers value for money, there is not enough variety of food, would be nice to have sandwiches, cheese, pate etc instead of just cakes and cereals

Positives Very early morning food better than No.1 Lounge. Quieter than No.1 Lounge Reasonable range of reading material Negaties Very tired - dirty carpets and chairs. Slightly claustrophobic due to lack of natural light. At £ 17.50 per person not sure it was value for money (albeit cheaper than No.1 Lounge) If you just want somewhere quiet to sit away from the main terminal and have a coffee it's fine but for the money it needs a serious makeover (particularly the carpets)
