Nightmare We arrived at 7 am till 9 am on the 17 of September 2018 there was no free tables we asked staff to open the other section of the lounge and they just give us a dirty look we had to clean our table because we have been told “there was no staff” when I went to get food there was no bacon or rollls just beans and scrambled eggs I asked for more bacon and had to wait more than 10 min and once again been told: “sorry love we are short staff “ there was no clean glasses for orange or apple juice and had to ask the barman behind the bar to get some for me. Poor bugger was rushed of his feet and probably the one that had a smile on his face. I will never use this lounge again.

Poor first encounter overcrowded couldnt find a seat for myself and two sisters. It was supposed to be a treat. Queues at bar only one person serving. Only two toilets and one was out of order. Food service poor if there was food there was no cutlery or plates. We waited for everything. Very dissapointing we won't be going again.

The aspire lounge was very poor , we had to wait over 20 minutes for hot food which was disgusting, a choice of only 2 meals... processed chicken curry & rice and macaroni cheese , we decided to have some salad , cheese and ham only to find they only had one cheese available , then we had to wait a further 10 minutes for a plate. We had to queue almost 30 minutes at the bar to get a drink.. we paid for a premium service which we certainly did not receive , I will never visit the aspire lounge again , the escape lounge is far better

Nowhere to sit, place dirty, no fresh food, no glasses, no cutlery, asked for assistance and was left waiting, waste of £88 between 4 of us travelling. People queuing for food which was quickly used as soon as it came out. No cheese but had crackers then cheese and no crackers. No curry but had rice then no rice but had curry. Staff saying “gonna need more at this rate” but it never came. Everyone was moaning. Very dissatisfied and disappointed and will not use again.

Totally NOT worth the money. The Aspire Plus at Newcastle is no better than bog standard, a real basic stripped bare lounge. Definately dropped standards, and we have visited numerous occasions. Not be returning.

This has gone downhill massively in two years since we were last there. Generally grubby worn and shabby, poor selection of food and drinks, food not refilled quickly enough, food poor quality and not hot enough. Aspire Lounge is obviously now the poor relation to Aspire Plus so that you can upsell it. Not worth the money and won’t bother in future. Will also be telling my daughter and her partner to cancel. They booked on my recommendation, but I would be embarrassed for them to waste their money now.

A very disappointing first visit, based on this experience unlikely to use the lounge again. It was very busy which staff acknowledged but food was running out and not been replenished, tables were not cleared and drinks were running out.

Very disappointed with the experience, ran out of food and drink was minimal for the price, by running out I don’t mean temporarily, they literally ran out of sausage and there wasn’t many in the lou he at this time, every time someone was at the bar you kept hearing the same story about how the waitress/barmaid has finished at 8 the previous night and started again at 4 in the morning

Too busy, struggled to get a seat, rammed packed with people. One person on the bar queue of people right into the quiet zone 15 min wait, food not replenished, ran out of tiger beer (1.30pm), tabled a mess. under staff and over worked. General cleanliness poor stains throughout the lounge not what I would expect of an Executive lounge. The amount of people in the lounge made me feel uncomfortable, was not relaxed no different to those outside in departure lounge. I felt sorry for the staff as they were stretched to their limits which is unfair on them having to deal with angry customers. Very poor

I took my Mam, aunty & daughter to the vip lounge in Newcastle as a treat.. we were all very disappointed with the experience.. there was macaroni cheese & chicken curry which no of us liked.. there was nothing for my daughter to eat.. I had to go back out into the food courts & buy sandwiches & a Burger King for my daughter.. so the £107 I paid was a. Completely waste of money

Well, where do I start? I always try to book into the lounge for a relaxing start to my holiday, so I always book well in advance, as recommended "because there could be limited availability".....BUT, imagine how I felt when I turned up before my recent trip on the 15th September, to be told it was over-booked, and very overcrowded, so it was suggested that I go down to the airport lounge, and I would be contacted when a table for four was available. As I had paid in advance for four people, I refused, and stood around waiting, not for a table, but even for just individual seats. We didn't get there early, about two and a half hours before our flight, so would have expected better service, and although the receptionist was very pleasant and polite, the queues that formed after we arrived obviously felt the same, judging by some of the comments made. I have to say, I have used the lounges on many occasions, but after this experience I wonder if doing so in the future is really worth it.

Rubbish I usually use Escape Lounges but thought I’d have a change taking my mum & disabled dad for their 1st time. On arrival there was a que and everyone was being told they were full. there was 90 seats and 150 bookings ( dreadful) upon waiting and gaining entry there was then a que for the bar (in Escape Lounge u help yourself to bottles of beer) which frees up the staff. Also only curry & rice and mac & cheese to eat. which we also had to wait 20 minutes for. So for a 3 hour stay we spent half of it Queing. Much more of a choice in Escape Lounges & not a happy start to our long awaited holiday.

Unfortunately, I found my lounge experience to be very poor. I found the reception staff rude and unprofessional, the lounge to be very cold and uncomfortably quiet (no soft music or even the tv on low) and also found mould on my food. Overall, very disappointed.

Hardly relaxing as they adverised.. at times only one member of staff serving.... warm glasses.... no food.... dirty uncleaned tables... seriously people try a different a lounge... complete waste of money to the start of the holiday .. An absolute waste of money.... and would NOT recommend your lounge to either family, friends or colleagues...! In actual fact the experience was that bad I'd ask for a refund...!
