“The day that we were there it was far too busy & not enough staff to cope with demand. One person serving at bar & the queue was horrendous. Tables were left with dirty plates as staff had no time to clear them. Food was also on short supply as the staff Couldn’t keep up with demand.”

“This is the first time we have been disappointed in the lounge there was a shortage of staff nearly all tables were covered in glasses etc. Queues for drinks reached the gents toilets staff usually just one serving as other was stocking bar up. Food also poor”

“The lounge was a lovely place to be, quick service at the bar, good food, helpful staff. I'll always book Aspire lounge whenever I go on holiday. The food options aren't as varied as you'd like but they're enough! The pancake machine was awesome!”

“Checking into the lounge was a joke - had to queue behind walk- ins trying to pay, when we had pre booked/ paid. 'Fresh' food was shocking - stale bread rolls, cold bacon, tasteless eggs. Ran out of croissants which were never replaced. No cups available for the coffee machine. Surly bar staff, who clearly didn't want to be there. No ice for drinks. Do I need to go on? This is the first time we have flown from T1 and hell will freeze over before I waste my money on your lounge again. You need to look at T2 lounges - both Escape and Aspire and model your service and offerings on them”

“Staff friendly, lounge and toilets very clean, lounge comfortable. Only let down really was the limited food choice. Unfortunately my fiance (who i had booked it for as a surprise) struggled to find enough to eat. Maybe have more down to earth hot food or add a simpler 3rd choice”

“We arrived at 4.15pm, the lounge had been extremely busy and most of the food had run out. Although the staff were helpful it did take quite some time to replenish the food and we were asked to keep hold of our glasses for our next drink because there weren’t enough glasses. Very disappointed and wouldn’t pay £30 again”

“Absolutely appalling! Compared to No. 1 Lounges this is a joke! Rubbish and cheap food, pasta and rice dishes which cost pennies, bread which consisted of doughy cheap burger buns cut in half, hardly the artisan bread I expected! Drinks ok but Prosecco, apart from one glass complimentary you had to then pay for! For £60 for two this was really bad and I felt like we were sitting in a bus station waiting room as opposed to a relaxing and palatial Lounge prior to a long haul flight to Dubai! Food ran out as quick as it was replenished, probably because people were trying to get their moneys worth and I would have preferred Wetherspoons fare any day! If I ever fly from Terminal 5 again I would not bother with the Lounge and just take my chances in some of the bars there which looked more palatial and had better atmosphere! Avoid at all costs!”
