I could have gone to the bar in the main terminal and had a better experience. The aspire lounge was over allocated, we couldn't get a seat, and because it was so busy we had to queue for food only to find that the breakfast rolls were gone by the time I got to the hot plate. Not a great experience at all, absolutely not value for money. I'm extremely disappointed as I booked this as a special start to special holiday.

Hot Food limited to basic pasta dish and not hot..Soup was better.. I was asked why I wanted a 2nd alcoholic drink after a few minutes which I thought was rather insulting so l had to explain I was thirsty..! Staff not made me feel welcome except for 2 ladies clearing up who were extremely helpful and jumped behind the bar in absence of bar staff. Will definitely hesitate before booking this lounge again.

Nothing went wrong. Other lounges I have used serve excellent food and a wide range of beverages including alcoholic. One of the outstanding delights of Malaysia is the array of food available in all parts of the country. I found the food here to be very average. The bar only included soft drinks and beer and any other alcoholic drink such as wine or spirits was chargeable. Very disappointing.

Too many tables were reserved yet people were still paying to get in and fight for tables. The food was very basic and not to the healthy end of the scale. Lots of carb based foods. Not enough toilet facilities and the toilet doors didn't go to the floor meaning people queuing outside heard what was going on! Not ok.

From the moment we arrived at 9.30 am the staff were miserable and couldn't even raise a smile..I know everyone doesn't want to work but to be served by a lady who found it a chore to serve drinks was unacceptable. I will never book the lounge again.

"Everything was fine except the carpets throughout. They were filthy and totally unacceptable for guests."

Drinks good. No plates were present on the counter for the cold food on offer or the warm food in the cabinet. Staff seemed mostly absent so could not ask for plates or food. Tables were left un-cleared and with dirty plates, cutlery and cups. Was nice to have a bit quite before the flight.

Not enough fresh food out, was too long replacing the dishes when required. There wasn't any paper serviettes at all, the staff had to improvise and use blue roll to tear into sheets to let customers use. I thought this was very unprofessional for a service which we paid good money for. There was also a large television on the wall which wasn't switched on.

Cramped, very poor food selection, air quality as bad as the rest of the terminal

The staff were more than helpful and very polite but that was all that was outstanding. The standard of food available was poor and very little. You had to queue for a drink, never had to before. Clearly you had let too many people in the lounge as seating was a issue and not enough staff to offer a service.

Whilst the lounge is well equipped and had good facilities, the entire experience was ruined by the rude receptionist. People pay for a VIP service when booking an airport lounge and therefore having such awful staff working there is not good.

None of my choice if drinks were there... Prosecco, only 1 type of red white and rose, not even a pinot grigio! Limited choice on food too... And no toilets on site. A nice idea but not worth the price

Staff very friendly and helpful. Long walk to showers from Lounge, Showers constantly lost pressure to a trickle. Food was not hot and would not have passed health safety check if temp was checked. Not a very good selection to choose from.

Poor choice of food,(lunchtime) coffee out of dispenser rather than freshly made, carpet was filthy and needed replacing, and charging docks on our table weren't working. If you like alcohol, you are on to a winner, the biggest and best choice!

2 star experience. it was standing room only on arrival. i can do that for free anywhere. the food was scarce, what warm food there was was dried pasta. it's not something i could honestly recommend to people friendly staff though.

After visiting many executive lounges, we found cardiff really disappointing, due too lack of choice of food, On visiting other lounges where you have a choice of hot and cold food yours only supplied, fruit crisps and nuts Most disappointing as we find this a great start too our holiday

The Aspire lounge in terminal 2 is not a patch on the one in terminal 1. The seating arrangement is more cramped and uncomfortable chairs do not make this any easier. Although the staff were pleasant, to have only 2 members available for all the jobs was ridiculous. Three separate times after waiting at the bar for ten minutes we had to go searching for someone to serve us and then wait longer even after asking. Not a relaxing treat at the start of our holiday as we had hoped for (my partner's first time in one of the lounges) I was quite embarrassed as I'd talked him into booking it. Food was mediocre and not a great choice. Sorry but I would not recommend.
