“We visited the Bristol Lounge on 23 December 2019. Overall our experience was good although I was disappointed that the tables weren't reserved as they had been when I visited the Newcastle Lounge in September. Most of the tables were already occupied when we arrived at approximately 11.30 am. The food could have been hotter. We also had to ask for various items to be replenished.”

“A good visit, though the food choice was somewhat limited all of the hot dishes contained beans of some sort and two out of the three side salad dishes also had beans in them, while I understand you can't please everyone a little more variation of dish would improve the choice for someone who does not like beans or peppers the whole range seemed to have a Mexican or North African theme. The staff were very pleasant and we were able to find a nice table at which to relax after a very early start and before our next flight later in the day. A pleasant stay it just could have been that little bit better with a bit more choice on the menu.”

“First time using the lounge and was excited as I had heard good things about it. The breakfast selection was disgusting bacon was rock solid and lying in a puddle of grease, very little choice for breakfast. Staff seemed more interested in standing around chatting rather than helping out. The lounge was freezing and the choice of drinks was limited. I will never use the lounge again”

“Lovely Xmas tree, soft lighting, peaceful: takes the hustle and bustle completely out of the usual travel mayhem. Service is helpful, friendly and unobtrusive. I was disappointed however that something as basic and expected as butter is no longer provided. Instead, a ‘spread’. Hopefully this was a one-off:) Toast would be a lovely extra in the mornings too. I overheard a couple of people asking for it and the only other breakfast bread option is a huge ‘stottie’ type bap.”

“Very warm welcome and greeting from concierge at reception. Attentive staff, who were always walking around collecting used cutlery, glasses etc.. all very polite. Comfortable space with great washroom facilities. Good selection of quality spirits and alcohol. Food was OK. I understand it must be difficult keeping an array of food fresh, but the warm food had clearly been sitting there a whole and had a skin or film covering them as such. Didn't ruin the experience, but definitely something to consider.”

“The lounge was comfortable, clean and organised. We had a nice time in the lounge but as we had a late flight we were asked to leave our seating for cleaners to come in and there was limited hot food left on offer.”
