Took way too long to receive one set of shutters.!!! Also when they finally arrived the container of touchup paint was crushed inside box and was a MESS to clean up. I was very upset it took over 3 MONTHS to receive and everything being covered in wet paint inside the crushed box!!

The shutters I received are of very poor quality. Really unfit to be put on my house or any house of quality. They were ordered to replace a few of my existing shutters that were mis-sized or damaged in storms. I thus have some older shutters to compare to. How cheap and flimsy these new ones are. The faux wood finish is absurd and without refinement. I couldn’t return them because they were a custom size. Never again with this company.

Worst product if ever ordered. You subcontractor to a company called perfect shutters. Was told that cant be perfect because they are custom. Gaps in shutters and scratches. Would never recommend you’re company to anyone

The shutters I received were very badly constructed. The raised panels were shoddy and seemed thrown together. The corner 45s were open and would need putty to fill them which would necessitate painting them which would require a lot more work. To add insult to injury, I had to pay $100 to return these poorly made shutters. I would NEVER recommend anyone buy from Exterior Solutions. Very bad experience.

Paint job is not good and paint comes out easily. How this will survive the weather in Florida?! Also it is so heavy for a decorative shutter!

Shutters did not match the width of the center band. I called and told them they did not have the demensions on their websites for me to verify but they still would not do a refund. I am stuck with shutters now that I cannot use.

Eleven of 20 shutters received had manufacturer defects. On the larger shutters, it was the same corner each with the same defect. On the smaller shutters, again each also had the same defect on the same corner (though a different type defect than seen on the larger shutters) and one shutter had a gap between stile and center mullion, causing the shutter to bow out in middle. It also showed evidence of attempted repair judging by popped staples at that location. In summary, $1500 spent, and more than 50% of shutters were defective upon receipt, and which I find totally inexcusable.

The delivery driver was the rudest person we have ever dealt with. Large man that was very hostile to our female office manager when he dropped off our order because he switched the orders in his truck. We also ordered pre-finished wood shutters in 2021 from Exterior Solutions and the paint failed in 2 years on all 8 pairs. When I complained, their response was "well you can just repaint them." This is a lot of work and I don't think anyone wants to repaint their shutters after 2 years. They must put on some really cheap paint in the factory. Some photos of a handful of them below...

Poor quality sample I could never order from it. Beluga portion of the sample was rough and not smooth and I understand the finish goes right on top of that. Change your submission anyone that has any intelligence could never order from the sample I received.

I ordered shutters. I thought they would be up to Harvey’s standards. They are not. They are much cheaper and flimsy. They are not like my original shutters. I’m disappointed.

I have never written a review before but this experience has been so horrible I have no choice but to write a review so that others can avoid the mistake of using this company. We ordered shutters from this company and they arrived in a truly unacceptable state. I understand it’s a man made product but they arrived so rough and painted so poorly where they are truly unusable. It seemed to be a step or two was missed in the finishing process. I assumed based on how this company presents itself online they would want to know this and fix the situation. I emailed customer service with photos where they said they received my photos and after looking at them they are sending it up to our owner Ken to figure out the next steps. I never asked for a refund, only for these to be fixed to a standard that anyone paying for a product would expect to receive. After a week of no response to emails I finally decided to call. Jill (customer service) would say she would give Ken (owner) the message but did not receive a phone call for another 5 days until I called back. Ken proceeded to tell me that this is how all of their shutters are received and if I wasn’t happy with them I should sand them and repaint them myself. He stated there was nothing he would do to sell me a good product and that they all arrive this way. I caution anyone from buying anything from this company. If this is actually the case and this is how they all arrive this this proves these reviews on this website are fake reviews. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt that this must have just been a one off mistake but he stands by the photos of my shutters he saw. Do not make my mistake of using this company. If they arrive in poor condition they do not care and will do nothing to fix it.

Alex, We understand that the product material and finish is not what you were expecting. This is why we do offer product samples to be ordered prior to ordering custom made products that are not returnable, exchangeable, or refundable. However, the product is not unusable. You mentioned on the phone this morning that you have been able to further finish the product by sanding the louvers while not removing the paint. Although, this is an unnecessary step, you can certainly further finish the product if you feel it enhances the quality and appearance.

Purchased shutters, very cheap, very flimsy, you can literally see through the joints. would not recommend.

While the product shipped promptly we are disappointed in the quality compared to our existing shutters. These shutters have a very "cheap" feel to them. I am concerned about how well they will hold up. To be honest I would have returned them if I could

Normally goods damaged in transit should be reported within 5 days. This helps ensure that the responsibility for the damage is clearly attributed to the delivery process, rather than any mishandling after delivery. However, even though this was delivered 2 weeks ago, we have already ordered a free replacement set be sent to you.
