Placed my order on April 20th took my money straight away it’s now been 6 weeks and no plants sent message reply says being. Processed Really ? No Phone number so can’t speak to anyone at Gardening Express the plants I ordered Peony Poppy Rose Fuchsia I Spent £52 83 you can’t blame everything on the Virus I want my plants or my money back will be taking this up with my bank If you can’t supply the goods then don’t take people’s hard earned money we are both in isolation that’s why I used this company in good faith wished I’d read the reviews first

Ordered on the 11th April and nothing, delays are expected but no factual information on practical measures they’re taking just a wide statement they are working day and night with experienced staff on furlough. They haven’t stopped taking new orders while they get back on their feet or maybe if there is work, unfurlough the staff.

Avoid at all cost. Happy to process your order but fail to deliver within an appropriate time blaming it on ‘unprecedented times’. Most companies are delivering without any problems now. I have tried to cancel my order but haven’t heard from them.

GardeningExpress customers are waiting for their plants, not hollow-words and badly constructed emails..... I placed a small order with GardeningExpress.Co.Uk on 11 April. Yet, incredibly, today, 6-weeks after placing and paying for my plants, I've received nothing but a poorly worded email that attempts to apologise for [GardeningExpress] being unable to deliver my order!!! Todays email (dated 22nd May) states that: "We are expecting to clear all our oldest orders now in the next 10 working days or so"........ My order is not extraordinary! It includes nothing more complicated than: 1) Foxgloves 2) Lupins 3) Californian Lilac 4) Guernsey Lily 5) Rosemary 6) and several items which were offered at a discount...... While it is obvious that some delays might be expected due to Covid-19 and the restraints of lockdown, I find it completely outrageous that GardeningExpress continues to take orders from new clients, when it is clear they are suffering systemic failure, resulting in a total inability for them to operate their business. To make it worse, they cannot be reached, don't answer emails and are refusing to instigate a cancellation policy, claiming that "orders are being processed and therefore cannot be cancelled". However, it should not take 6 weeks to process a simple order, and when there is no sign of plants, Chris, the founder of Gardening Express, needs to appreciate that he is residing over a company that is failing and has now broken its own terms of contract! In an effort to salvage some goodwill, Chris needs to start offering refunds (OR should simply get his company's act together, and start delivering the plants that his customers have paid for)....... Poor show & poor excuses, this company deserves a rating of Zero Stars1 Update: 28th May, 50% of my order arrived, plants in shocking condition, the lupins were 'folded' in half, so they would fit in a box that was too short for the plants, 75% of the leaves are dried to a crisp, unlikely they will ever recover......

Dishonest 5 weeks since order was placed and no plants. 2 weeks since requesting a refund due to lack of communication and false promises and still no acknowledgement or refund... Regardless of the quality of their plants, they do not deserve customers hard earned money. No respect or good will demonstrated to customers. Requests for refunds and issues are ignored yet they have time to report reviews on Trust Pilot and remove negative feedback from Facebook. To me, it feels dishonest.

I ordered two salix trees which you can only buy as a pair £40 later they arrived and I couldn't be more dissatisfied and disappointed, hardly any foliage and one was half the amount of foliage to the other I would never buy from them again! Disgusting

Waited for weeks and although the pinks were fine the Acer is nearly dead and not any where near worth the £9.99 I paid for it

Ordered on 17th April and still nothing today 27th May: At first I accepted the explanation for delayed orders due to Covid19 - but now am beginning to wonder if this is just an excuse and something more serious is wrong! Contacted them twice and followed excuses on Facebook: Appalling they have had my money in their bank all this time and no replies to my queries

As with others i ordered my plants in April and still have not arrived. I had one email to say please be patient. I emailed back recently to say that i would like a refund and to cancel my order as i dont actually need them now anyway as have have to do my planters minus what i ordered from them, this email and another sent following this has not been answered.

Scam! No plants, no communication! Placed two orders one on 14th April - still showing as processing today 27th May. No way to contact company apart from raising a ticket which I did 8 days ago but has not been responded too. The other order was placed on 22nd April says on website dispatched which I noticed on the 18th of May, tracking number goes to fake website, no email of dispatch from the company or promised tracking number & 13 days later no plants. And still no responses from tickets raised. Currently reported to bank as a scam to hopefully get money back. When orders were placed they advertised 2 week dispatch time... now they say 2-4 week dispatch time..... heading into week 7 Amazingly they have had time to report my review on another website!!

Appalling company. Orders take weeks to arrive. Paid for the last one over two weeks ago...they took the money straight away. Have emailed them and raised tickets which have all been ignored. No phone number to speak to anyone. Total con. Wish I had checked Trustpilot first as they have a list of complaints and negative comments. Shall report this company for sure. Stay clear of them

I spent £105 on an order on 10th April. I've have neither received my order, received a response to cancel my order, had any updates or been treated well by a genuine company. This company have no intention of sending out good quality plants - just type in "Gardening Express Reviews" into google! you will see the same issues dating back from 2009. Their attitude and 'backlog' has nothing to do with Covid-19 - it's the way they have always operated judging by other reviews on twitter and review sites. You must avoid at all costs. I've made a claim through the credit card company to hopefully received my money back for non-delivery and non-communication of an online order.

6 out of 7 plants arrived, cannot make contact with anybody to sort. 1 of the plants turned up broken due to the poor packaging and handling by the courier. Would i use this company again, absolutely NOT. I understand the difficulties due to Covid but not good enough

I have to agree with all the other reviewers. Very poor service indeed. They seem to feel that, putting a note on their website explaining that due to Covid-19 there will be delays, absolves them of all responsibility. You place an order, they take the money straight away and then you hear nothing for weeks. If you try and contact them, again they say to expect delays in their response and then go off the radar again. You can't cancel or change the order and they don't want to talk to you. My order was finally despatched on the Friday evening of a bank holiday weekend, and wasn't delivered until the following Wednesday (so presumably my trees were sat in a cardboard box in a van for 5 days) and to say they are of very poor quality is a massive understatement - almost dead would be more to the point !! However I wont be returning them as I can't be bothered with the aggro (which I'm sure others do) so this company have in effect made a fool of me and taken money for very poor quality goods. Hopefully this review will help to persuade others not to buy from them in the first place ! The attached images show the picture of the plant I ordered (taken from their website) along with pictures of what I actually received

Plants finally arrived after 6 weeks and they are mostly just fit to go on the compost heap. Terrible service no communication, please avoid this company!

This company has obviously taken on more than they can cope with. They have taken my money and now don’t even have the capability to advise when my order will be received. This is now 6 weeks after placing my order

Waiting 7 weeks for delivery of two small trees and still no signs of delivery. Not answered my queries though their official system and no telephone number on their website. Gardening Snails might be a more apt name. They are using Covid as an excuse but other similar garden sites deliver within days. If they cannot hack it they should not be in the business.
