Not been in touch with them yet but I will never order again. Ordered months ago, waited patiently during these testing times. Today Hermes delivered plants fit for the bin. My brother is a garden centre regional manager unfortunately his centres were closed when ordered for my garden. I have sent him photos today and he is appalled at the dire state. I thought I might be able to nurture them back to life he says no way they are completely dead and a waste of money 😡😡

I have been waiting 6 weeks for my order, there is no phone number to call so I am unable to speak to anyone to find out what’s happening. No reply from emails or raising a “complaint ticket”. Absolutely appalling to leave customers like this with no communication regarding delays. There Live chat has also been down!

Unfortunately it is not possible to give this company less than one star. My order from 11.4.20 actually arrived today (two hydrangeas). One plant was just about acceptable but the other was an insult - two weak stems and a third one that had been broken off at some time. Neither plant looks well cared for or particularly healthy and to be honest I have seen better specimens cheaper in Aldi. Given the appalling customer service I can't face trying to return the worst plant and then waiting for a probably non-existent refund. Do not even think about buying anything from these people!!!!

Hi received my plants today 2 hours ago. Been waiting since order 11 April after seeing all bad reviews was worried I wasn’t going get my plants . The plants well packaged and good condition !!! So although long wait have to say give 3 out of 5 stars .Majority plants healthy so looking forward to see them when in flower. Helen Murdoch Edinburgh.

SCAM! Do not buy from this 'business' - On purchase, there has been no confirmation of the order, no details of shipping and further more; no contact number to discuss. A friend of mine has also had similar problems.

I am still waiting for my order fro April got to emails saying my order has been passed on to the nursery. All I want is a refund and no plants from them as I had to buy elsewhere. Do not buy from this company.

Placed my order 15/4 and still no sign of it being shipped. I have emailed them and been told delays due to situation and when I’ve tried to get a refund I’ve been told it’s not possible and order being processed. We all understand delays but 6 weeks plus and still no delivery in sight! Really?!

Ordered April 11th and still no goods. Sent email May 29th to say goods dispatched which is pack of lies from Chris the Conman as Yodel have no record of ever receiving the order. Have requested charge from my credit card company and reported him to Trading Standards. His scam company has now got media interest for all the wrong reasons and he apparently he was interviewed on Radio 4 yesterday.

I ordered a number of plants from Gardening Express. They were advertising 3-5 days at the time. After 4+ weeks nothing had arrived. I tried to contact them but the only way form of contact they offer is by post (no telephone service, no email address, no contact form etc.); so I wrote to them asking for a refund. A few more weeks passed by but no reply or refund were received. After 7 weeks, the plants finally arrived. Of the 8 plants I ordered, 6 were dead!

I’m so disappointed. After an awful few months, my plants were the one thing I was looking forward to. I don’t have much money and saved a small amount and was so impressed with the choice and website, I didn’t hesitate to order. The pictures speak for themselves. And no one will respond to me. I’m considering taking a road trip to Chelmsford soon to return the plants personally. If they choose to ignore me, what other option do they give us? It will be worth the fuel just for the principle. They continued to trade with heavy discounts on various platforms, so I have absolutely no doubt this was money over customers. Shame on this company.

Order arrived eventually 23 May 20. Terrible condition, looks like a dead weed! Just not fit for purpose! Have sent e-mail with photos but no reply over a week later. Now tried to raise a ticket but have given up after four unsuccessful attempts. (Order no. 600527270)

Would give 0 stars if possible. Placed an order in April - it is June already and still nothing. Every 2-3 weeks I get an email saying how they are working through a large number of orders and asking for patience - completely understandable in these challenging times, but they still advise 2-4 weeks for delivery and I am coming up to two months. No responses to my messages and it is impossible to cancel your order. You would think that if they cannot cope with the vast numbers of orders, they would at least allow you to cancel your order and get a refund! Plants are also time sensitive - what I ordered in April for my garden is hardly any good if it arrives in July! Complete mismanagement of admittedly difficult situation with total lack of communication.

Still waiting for my order placed 28th April. Concerned having spent over £70 ( not a lot but too much to lose) Very disappointed, there was no mention of these Very long delays before I placed the order. Qq

Ordered on 14th April, still not received my order,6 weeks waiting appalling service, no feedback, quick to take your money, not replying to individual queries as they say they are to busy. Disgusting.

Same old story, however I had a glimmer of hope when I received an email stating part of my order had been shipped with Hermes. After a week, I contacted Hermes who informed me they had never received my plants from GE. I ordered on the 10th April, today is 31st May and still nothing except the automated emails. I’ve raised three tickets and nothing. I think it’s a cheek that GE can update their twitter feed daily but not reply to customers. Disgraceful, greedy company who have broken their own terms of contract. Buyer beware

Very disappointed with the service provided by Gardening Express. I placed my order on 12th April and they took my payment on the following day. As we enter June, my order is still being processed and I have no idea when or whether the plants will arrive.

I have been in shielded self isolation since lock down living alone. To give myself something to do 8n the garden I ordered some plants from Garden Express even though money is very tight. I have been waiting 2 months for plants and payment has been taken out of my account Surely this should only be done when dispatched? They say they are not a scam. But surely the right thing to do is to stop taking any more orders until existing contracts fulfilled
