A complete shambles, do NOT use this company! Ordered a plant as a gift, 15 days later it hadn't been despatched so I cancelled it. 10 days after that, they sent it out anyway - far too late, I'd sent an alternative by then from elsewhere. They'd taken the money immediately and have not given a refund. No communication at all from them. Wish I'd read these reviews before as I'm clearly not the only one.

I ordered my plants on 23/4/20 it is now 24/5/20 3 emails in and no reply as to what’s happening to my order I am still waiting what an absolute sham will never order from this company ever again.

Don’t buy from here they take your money and that is it, you can’t call them they don’t reply emails. This is definitely a scam.

Like the previous comment, Covid seems to be an excuse for poor customer service. Ordered 10th April - no acknowledgement of my order or when it would be delivered. They debited my account immediately. After a couple of weeks of no correspondence I emailed to cancel as I had sourced plants elsewhere. They acknowledged the email but no refund. 3 emails later asking point blank for a refund - I did NOT want the plants, still no refund. They finally delivered my (pretty poor quality) plants nearly 6 WEEKS LATER and had the cheek to tell me that as they had been delivered I was not entitled to a refund. SHOCKINGLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

GREEDY, MONEY GRABBING ORGANISATION WHO TAKE YOUR CASH AND THEN DO NOT REFUND IT DESPITE WAITING 6 WEEKS AND TRYING TO CANCEL OVER 3 EMAILS. Really wished we had looked here before ordering the plants. Unlike other people, we have received our plants( after waiting more than month.) However, the condition of both the plants and the boxes was appalling and looked as though they had been slung around. The plants themselves were near dead and will require TLC to revive them. We have sent an email of complaint to the company but are less than positive that we will receive a response. Wondering if Joe Lycett would have more luck. Do not buy from this company.

Ordered 23rd April and money taken immediately. Every other plant supplier I used delivers in 5 days. So after 10th May days with no drlivery tried to find out what was up. Told them to deliver or refund. Tried on their Facebook page, and by raising a ticket on their website, but they never bothered replying. So I ordered same plant from another nursery, came in five days, a very healthy plant well boxed to protect it, and costing £5 less. Then on 19th sent ticket to Gardening Express website, if they did not deliver by 21st to cancel and refund. Plant finally dispatched on 22nd and turned up on 23rd as I was filling in a chargeback claim, in a crushed flimsy box. The plant was much smaller than the one I bought elsewhere. So now in bin. Don't buy from these people, they don't ship stuff properly protected, my plant was small, they take your money right away but don't ship for ages, and they never communicate.

AVOID !! Ordered 13 April, expected long delay (beyond the 2-4 weeks advised) but then NOTHING. No reply and the website gives general info but carefully avoids any options which actually allow contact or even tracking order. I had sympathy but now think it’s just a scam

Absolutely unacceptable! NO communication at all! NO order! No apology! No respect to customers! NO reply to all my emails! No availability to call them to ask face to face what is going on! Every one of us is affected by this covid19 but we still respect everyone and answering all customers calls and emails and sending orders ( in my own small business) even if I have to drive there my self! Sending autogenerated reassuring emails to everyone is NOT the way to look after customers! I want to cancel my order and I want my money back as it wasn't a couple of pounds! But there is NO possible way to do so! Shame on you Gardening Express!!!! I have no choice but to go to social media now!

6 weeks since our order, nothing from the company except wait. Canceled our order, put payment in dispute with the credit card company. Do not use this company. I could have got it quicker from china than Chelmsford. read other reviews. Micky mouse company. Advice to Gardening Express. get someone in who knows how to run a buisiness, you clearly have no idea. Avoide this company.

If you have paid online with credit card for an order do a charge back. I have been waiting 6 weeks. Ignored all communications. Eventually got half my order and never heard from them again. Fraudsters

Same as all the other customers below, I think this company is a scam. They took £70 6 weeks ago with the promise of delivery in 3-5 day. They are not contactable and they do not answer their tickets. Does anyone know if they are still in business.

Ordered took ages to arrive which I understand why but looked nothing like what I ordered and the plant pots were cheap round plastic ones. I had ordered stylish black flared ones so completely wrong. Have emailed to complain but have heard nothing back. Won’t order from them ever again.

I am completely amazed how they are dealing with customers.Such a joke company. Please call your banks to try to get your money back( I did) my plants never arrived . They took £97 from my account on 17th April but did not send confirmatory e mail. I have sent many messages with no reply. Clearly no plants arrived. Do not use this firm they are a disgrace

Ordered 10th april.. tried to cancel on 30th april 3rd may and 5th may after no plants arrived within the promised 15 working day original time frame. Two tickets raised and two emails. No response no communication from them at all not even an automated response like some. No delivery update. No reply to tickets despite saying they respond to all. They dont! Communication on website then shut down so then no way of contacting them at all not that that really made a difference they dont reply anyway. Recieved 3 plants within a total order of 135 pounds spent! On the 22nd may! 42 days after order placed. All dead and in a terrible state nothing like described and there was a free dead moth included in the box !! refused the order courier agreed was awful condition. No idea where the other 12 plants I ordered are but they will be sent back too if and when they ever arrive... prob dead. My advice dont order from these cowboys. If u have and your order or part order finally comes. Check the condition whilst courier waits. If not as described or dead like mine refuse the order get him to take them away and go through your bank or credit card to get the money back as have I. U will get your money back they have broken all trading standard rules. Shambolic and should not be allowed to trade. You have been warned!!

This is the worst experience I have had from a company in years. As many have said using covide 19 as an excuse to exploit the system . Waited 7 weeks still no order or a refund as requested . Your emails are endlessly responded to through an automated outcome and no one ever responds to you personally. Now currently going through resolver to try and resolve this. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY

Do NOT touch with a barge pole. They ironically include the word 'express' in their name. I've reported them to Trading Standards as they're still taking money off suckers like me and not delivering my order was more than 40 days ago and counting. They've addressed their 'non-plant' situation by hiring additional customer service people - what about 'put plants in a box and post them people'?? Really can't wait for the half-dead weeds to turn up.. NOT.
