DO NOT INSURE YOUR SELF WITH ADMIRAL. My vehicle was stolen over 3 months ago and I have a crime number from the police and CCTV to prove my vehicle was stolen in the early hours of the morning. I sent them all the details they required within the first 7 days of the incident. ADMIRAL HAVE STILL NOT PAID ME OUT. They do not seem to care about me as a customer and do not contact me to keep me up to date. I have repeatedly sent emails and called them but they make up different excuses all the time. I am unable to buy a new van for my business as they have not paid me yet so it is costing me a lot of money to hire a van temporarily. I'm sure they would have resolved this issue if I was covered for a courtesy vehicle from them if my vehicle was stolen but I wasn't covered for this. DO NOT INSURE YOUR SELF WITH ADMIRAL. I would rather pay extra and get insured by someone who cares for there customers.

My car was stolen on 20th of October 2018... Yes thats correct 2018 a year ago! I was treated like a criminal trying to say I made it out like it was stolen. When I was attacked at the car keys taken and the car later found crashed, police took forever as well to get the DNA results. Finally proved I was not the driver they closed the case June 2019. Admiral still refuse to pay out until they get a full report. Someone please explain to me how it takes 4 months to get something sent across? In all that time I have been paying £490 a month for the car. I'am paying for a car I have not had nearly for 13 months. Its really made my life stressful and affected my health. My new car I made sure I stayed well away from Admiral and I also got my parents to change over as well.

Had the worst experience ever with Admiral Insurance. After we were involved in a crash, their "investigator" failed to get CCTV footage that showed the other driver was liable. They then said that their investigation was based on photos both drivers supplied and Google Maps. Admiral then rolled over and said that I was fully liable, rather than sharing equal responsibility because they had failed to obtain the CCTV footage. Not to be trusted.

I suspect that those of you that are giving Admiral 4 or 5 stars are basing it on the fact that you got a cheap quote? Admiral are hopeless in the event of a claim: Poor Payout - Bottom book values that they will not negotiate with you - you will end up out of pocket. Even if the claim is via a 3rd party and not your fault! Poor customer service: Rude arrogant and incompetent staff. Bullying tactics are used. Particularly when they have collected your car - that you cant get back.... Ive been waiting 8 weeks for a payout. No car, no money, no courtesy car. They are pathetic. Please avoid. You wiull be glad you did if you are unlucky enough to need to claim.

I had been a loyal customer with Admiral for several years. I thought that they were a professional company. This is indeed not the case and becomes immediately apparrent as soon as you need to make a claim. Please avoid. they are cheap for a reason. The expense will come if you need to claim: Less than bottom book payout - no room for negotatiation. Will not allow you to buy the slavage back - so if you have a car that you want to keep / repair dont let them take it. Good luck getting a courtesy car. Best advice is not to use them. The Ryanair of car insurance. And that unfair to Ryanair.

Would not recommend. They are here to cover you when accidents happen however they have failed to do so! Smallest bump and they cannot settle it and left it go to further!

I wish I could rate them lower. I have a home insurance policy and motor insurance policy with them. I had submitted a home insurance claim with them couple of months ago for a bathroom leak. The leak damaged the dining room ceiling downstairs along with the chair pads of the dining table. A company called Claims Consortium Group (CCG) deal with home insurance claims for Admiral. After months of delaying and chasing them, they came back with a pay out which was 10% of the what the bathroom fitters / plumbers had estimated it would cost. The whole point of insurance is to provide assurance & coverage when things go wrong. Admiral is there just to take your money and harass you when you are in a worse mental state. Never again.

Terrible customer service no interest in existing customers. I was charged £19 to change one digit in my address. I moved from a ground floor flat to a first floor flat but according to the man I spoke to there is no difference in the security so told me my premium would stay the same. An absolute scam avoid at all costs. I for one will never go near them again.

I rang regarding my car insurance renewal as if you ring they give you a better price. I also have house insurance and asked if was affected as my daughter starting uni as she is now 18. Was told no change for my daughter, as although studying away from home, still lives here. After the call I received a email to say has been a change to my policy and due to this they are taking £17.38 from my credit card the following day. This is because my daughter is now a adult and no longer a child as is now 18. What a rip off. I have logged a complaint as every year my family get a year older. Will this be more changes to the policy!!!. Admiral are a greedy, money grabbing, unscrupulous company that I would NOT recommend. The policy change was not mentioned in the call - just in email sent after it. I will be changing my insurance to another company.

No one answers the telephone and I urgently need to get in touch with you. Very poor service I will be changing insurers at renewal regardless of price.

Since I joined in June I can't access my online account or reset the password and have telephoned several times. They have promised to email me but nothing arrives and now you can't even telephone them because they have an issue! I won't be renewing in fact I might just change company anyway because I have no confidence in them

How anyone wouldn't lose the will trying to insure with Admiral, you'd think the preamble of doing things on a website would save time - NO, they drone on for hours trying to constantly up-sell when you're just trying to insure a 'flaming car'. NO, I don't want to insure any other car with you, NO I don't want breakdown cover, NO, I don't want legal aid, NO, I don't want my documents on a website that I won't be able to find if I can remember the user name, NO, I don't want to register online for anything!!! NO, there's nothing else you can flamin do for me - I've lost the will!!!

In the process of having a no fault claim. The 3rd party is insured with AXA. I'm with Admiral (though wont be for much longer). Admiral have firstly refused me a hire car (even through the 3rd party). Now they are offering me £3000 max for a car valued at circa £5000. They refuse to negotiate despite being given evidence to the contrary. So I am left with no option other than the ombudsman. Similarly they have put my premium up £180 and are trying to charge £350 excess. Bearing in mind that this is a no fault claim that will be paid by AXA. They even tried to charege me anoher £20 to shift my no protected claims onto another car post accident. After that the premium on the car that went from 1 years NCB to 23 years NCB's premium didnt go down!! How does that work?! Do yourself a favour and avoid Admiral next time you renew. I thought that they were a professional outfit and now that I am in the process of a claim I know that they are not. They only have 1 star because none wasnt an option.

Had an engineer come out to replace a pump. He broke my timer and to fix his mistake he re-wired my home without my knowledge. This caused my heating and hot water to constantly stay on. I called him back to tell him what was happening and he told me he would come back the next day to fix it but never showed up. I then spent £400 calling out another engineer to re-wire my house back to normal and fix the timer that was broken. Told admiral all of this and they said their engineer is not at fault. Absolutely disgusting that they can put someone through so much stress and get away with it

Simply terrible. They just want every penny out of you possible. My insurance for a 2008 golf ended up being £2.5K - despite my 6 years no claims, when confused.com are quoting me (as I'm at renewal) less than £1.3K for a new sports car. And if you need to cancel your policy before the end of its term, they charge you a hefty administration fee. They also increase your policy every time you move address - giving you a reason of 'you're in a higher risk area', which is extremely funny because I ended up moving back to my initial address 6 weeks later and they increased my premium again telling me the same thing - that the area is higher risk ... which leads me to suspect there are no algorithms detecting higher risk areas, and that they simply increase your premium by default every time you move.

Rubbish customer support. No help or flexibility with direct debit problem even though was happy to pay the one missed payment there and then. Company ruled by computer policy. Not the friendly helpful company advertised. Would not recommend to anyone. Very disappointed and wish I had never changed insurers. Plus charged 40 odd pounds for the privilege of cancelling policy. Thanks Admiral. Maybe rethink your advertisements to the couldn't be bothered company.
