Home Insurance direct with Axa: I was forced to file a claim online yesterday at 1pm limited to 250 characters because nobody answered the phone for 4 hours. Upon logging my claim online, I was then told on email to expect a call within 4 hours, from an advisor, during normal working hours (9-5/Mon-Fri) yet nobody called. It’s now the following day and I’m still on the phone waiting for an advisor at 2.27pm for someone to answer after calling their claim number 5 hours 08 minutes ago, no incoming call from them either or a follow up on email as of yet. Ridiculous.

Axa cancelled my insurance after I had called to arrange another payment plan during the covid-19 outbreak and also charged a cancellation fee knowing I was struggling financially at the time. One lady Debbie went to sort it all out for me upon explaining my current situation. We were cut off our call and I called the company back. The gentleman I spoke to then, made me aware there was nothing more the company could do for me and had alreadybeem cancelled. I was absolutely gutted at a time I needed my vehicle the most. I explained I currently work voluntary for the Royal Voluntary Service, am a full time carer for my neighbour and have three children also to take care of two, of which have additional needs. I had also lost my gran and several other people over a short period of time and grieving. I am still, a week on so very frustrated with Axa for not coming to a agreement between us when I had also explained that, I hadn't read my emails and received their email 48hr later. I contacted them as soon as I saw a message from their team. Still nothing was done on Axas behalf. Would avoid the company

My claim was through Coverwise who say they are linked with AXA. Coverwise are impossible to contact, the web directs you to AXA. I've tried to call AXA with zero success! The AXA online forms cant be opened or accessed. How these companies are able to remain operating in the UK is a joke! Avoid at all cost.

Don’t bother buying car insurance from AXA. Someone drove into my door and before they received my incident report, they deemed the fault tobe mine.

FROM OUR TORRID EXPERIENCE AND UNDER TWO YEARS LATER WE ARE STILL STRUGGLING TO SETTLE FOR ONE EXPENSIVE ITEM OF OUR CLAIM. WE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. IF YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE A MISFORTUNE OF HOME BURGLARY THEN FROM DAY ONE EMPLOY YOUR OWN ASSESSOR BECAUSE THE LOSS ADJUSTER SENT BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY WORKS FOR THEM. AFTER FIVE MONTHS STRUGGLE TO GET OUR CLAIM SORTED WE WERE NOT GETTING ANYWHERE. AS A MATTER OF FACT WE HAD THE IMPRESSION THEY WERE TRYING NOT PAY FOR OUR CLAIM AND MADE US FEEL AS IF WE HAD INSTIGATED THE BURGLARY. ONCE WE EMPLOYED OUR OWN ASSESSOR THE TONE OF THE COMPANY CHANGED AND HE MANAGED TO GET US MOST OF THE CLAIM EXCEPT ONE ITEM WHICH WAS QUITE EXPENSIVE. WRITING TO THEIR CEO WAS A WASTE OF TIME.THEY AGREED TO PAY SOME COMPENSATION AS TO THE WAY WE WERE TREATED.ONE OF THEIR COMPLEX CLAIM PERSON ON THE PHONE AGREED THAT BECAUSE THE ITEM WAS EXPENSIVE, THE INSURANCE COMPANY ARE RELUCTANT TO PAY. WE HAD PREMIUM INSURANCE COVER AND UNLIMITED SINGLE VALUABLE ITEM. WE ARE NOW TAKING THE MATTER TO THE FINANCIAL-OMBUDSMAN.

In June 2019, there was an alleged claim against my partner that he had hit someone else’s car. It was a false claim and a clear case of mistaken identity as my partner was nowhere near the scene on the date of the alleged accident. My partner has a liable witness to prove this. AXA also sent an Independent engineer to inspect his vehicle and the report stated that the car is perfectly fine and has never been involved in an accident. The third party has no evidence that my partner’s car was involved in an accident yet AXA has still kept the claim open. We are constantly on the phone to AXA to help us close the case so that we can carry on with our lives but AXA keep giving us the same excuses. The fact that AXA has been unhelpful in assisting my partner (bearing in mind that he has never missed a car insurance payment) has caused a great deal of stress for him and my family and has caused a huge financial burden.

Absolute thieves steer clear spend hours and hours on the phone trying to pay them because it's the only option then charge £25 because it's not paid on time

Cancelled my insurance because they said they didn't receive payment. I went to my bank and they told and showed me that axa took payment then refunded me back a day later. I was driving about for 4 months not knowing I hadn’t insurance. Also a year before, I had an accident and they failed to act and I was then being took to court by the people I caused damage to they’re property because axa wouldn’t act in time and pay out.

I’ll never go with axa again. If it wasn’t for the ombudsman, I don’t know what would have happened.

Fraudulent trading practices. Fraudulent 5 star reviews. If there was ever proof that the devil exists it's this company. Don't bother taking your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (currently being advertised on LBC Radio) they are a tax payer funded bunch of corrupt mobsters and ill educated morons placed there to drain your time and energy and stop you getting your money back from these monsters. Go straight to small claims court and try your luck there. https://www.gov.uk/make-court-claim-for-money Also consider writing to the current board of AXA: Jeremy Peter Small Robert Becker Debra Jane Davies Claudio Gienal Peter Frank Hazell Michael Richard Jackson Laurent Matras Mark Andrew Pain Johnathan Paul Walker Johnathan Scott Wheway All of these animals share the same correspondence address and need telling what for : 5 Old Broad Street, London, EC2N 1AD

The customer happy with their AXA car insurance is in for a surprise. Maybe the insurance seems cheaper now but wait till there's a claim. We had a minor car accident, hitting a stationery car while pulling out of a parking space. A couple of small dents resulted to the stationery car with no damage to our car. AXA with the claim going in from the dented car owner have increased our car insurance by 75%. And this is also at a time of crisis due to the Coronavirus. We're on lockdown and on 80% of our salary. AXA are greedy profiteers. AVOID!!!

One off the worst insurance companies out there please try to avoid at any cost. I had an accident as soon I phoned axa insurance they told me to take the blame for the fault without Evan having to hear my side off the story and During the whole ordeal They where rude unprofessional unhelpful and most off there engineers are soo rude it’s was unbelievable. I have a fully comprehensive insurance policy with axa when it came for them to fix my car they told me to find my own repair shop which I did and when I asked regarding the payment they become very rude please avoid at all cost it’s not a good insurance company waste off money

Like many others AVOID AVOID AVOID They haven’t settled 2 vehicle claims and a third party property damage. Quick to take the money - but what’s the point, if they don’t pay out ( when you need them to )
