I was quoted a renewal price which was considerably higher than the current year, I looked on a comparison website and the price for my car, as a new customer was much less than I had been quoted, I called budget to question this, they very quickly changed the quote to the same bar a few pence to my previous years cost, it wasn’t the cheapest quote on the site but as I had been with budget for the last couple of years and the service was good, speaking to someone who can and does sort the issue out there and then is a huge bonus, I decided to stay with budget

Had to ring for advice on my car insurance, response was very clear and helpful, problem resolved very quickly. Also pleased that my insurance was lower than the previous year which during a period of constantly rising prices is something to celebrate.

Premium has gone up by £7.00 per month which is ridiculous considering we haven't made a claim! Definitely will be looking around.

We had one claim within a few ,months of being with them and settled as we requested. They have rewarded us prior to each renewal for being a loyal customer and any premium increas has been minimal.

The renewal process was done with ease online and the premium was competitive. I have not experienced a claim yet but so far top marks.

Spoke to an actual person without long phone queue. I was going to leave for a cheaper deal but managed to secure a competitive price so decided to stay

Seemed ok until you want to claim. House burgled car keys stolen and therefore the car. After protecting no ncd for years and not needing it typically this year I didn’t. This I’m told makes it a fault claim even though the car was stolen. I had 17 years no claims but they are dropping me down to 3 years that’s a 14 year loss. Budget say they don’t recognise anything more than 9 years but even if you agree with this that’s a loss of 6 yrs when the Industry standard is 2 years. Also Budget would not cover anything inside the car unless I could prove it was in the car when stolen. Unless I photo the inside of my car every night how can I do that ? The “current value” payout for the theft will not cover purchasing an equivalent vehicle, and it’s cost more than £100 to switch the car stated on the insurance so the insurance is not worth it. Customer service have taken a month of me phoning and email to pay out, saying they will act but they don’t until I ring again then pass it on to someone else. They say I can complain but “nothing will change so you might as well close the case”. So much for customer service. Budget do not treat customers fairly.

Have been with Budget for years, customer service very good when the monthly payment was higher than anticipated, I rang up and was found a more reasonably priced insurance. Had one accident and insurance dealt with it quickly.
