customer service has got to be the WORST ever , can never get through . but if you ring ther renew number it goes straight through funny that because once they have your money theey are not interested they are s_ _ t

Absolutely shocking company. Keep finding ways to get more money out of you and when you finally get to speak to someone after being on hold for 30 mins they are so unhelpful. Avoid at all costs. You will regret it if you buy a policy

The customer service is utterly appalling, It takes 45minutes to get through to anyone at any time during the day. The staff are all clueless and are happy to try and take any extra bit of money out of you at any given opportunity. If you can avoid them please do. Just take a look at the reviews they aren't all wrong. PLEASE PLEASE AVOID

Literally the worst customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. Expect 30 minute + waiting times on the phone as a minimum, and constant contradictions from different members of their team. Being told to hold one moment whilst you're transferred to the right department, waiting 15 minutes and then being hung up on is also common. The last thing you want when dealing with claims, renewals and finances is a company this poor.

Carrot is an awful insurance company. They wanted me to send them my driving license details within 7 days which is did as I have e-mails to prove it. I have just found out they cancelled my insurance a WEEK ago. They could have got my license taken off me if it wasn't careful. They don't respond and need to sort it out, but of course they are just selfish and want more money!! Fuming in a understatement.

I couldn't even rate this company 1 star. Waiting time to get hold of them is horrendous . No communication from them about anything. My box stopped working after a while and everyday my score was the same. They tried to charge me a ridiculous amount to add miles on based on the broken box score. Luckily they over writ this to get it down for me. I was then expecting a call to get my box looked at, never got the call!! Changed my address and was charged a £35 admin fee. Stick to the company names we all know!!!

Dreadful company, attractive to young drivers with their cheaper than other companies policy, but beware if you make any changes during your policy be prepared for the costs involved. We moved house within the same postcode area and its considered low risk (Cat A) and my sons monthly payment went from 141 pounds a month up to 280. He also had to purchase more miles which then sent it up to 376 a month. To date we have had no communication from the company of the amendments to his policy, so purely based on what the girl on the end of the phone said and nothing to back up the changes, they have just taken 376 out of my sons account. Telematics box seems to work when it wants to, driving scores make no sense at all i.e same journey one day can score a 10 and the next day can be a 4 even if driving style is the same and No sign of the promised reward card. He has been waiting since January for that. As a parent I am absolutely fuming not many 18 year olds can pay near enough 400 a month for insurance. The initial premium of 1500 pounds is now going to cost him just under 4000 when the policy finishes! Call them and you are just on hold for a lifetime and the service is equally poor. Choose wisely as you only get what you pay for

Absolutely disgusting, tried so many times to speak to their customer services and they never answered. I been trying for two days now!!!! avoid if can because email and contact centre is awful.

Customer service for existing customers is beyond poor! They don't answer the call or emails. Tried 30 times to contact them as I had changed my car to no avail.

The heater vents were spray painted (prior to us buying the vehicle and we assumed that was standard) which we didn't know was a modification and they cancelled our policy. They said it was a major modification. I think we got a good deal and they decided they needed to get out of it so came up with any excuse! Be very careful!!!

The box fitted to monitor my driving hardly works, it only ever has one or two journeys recorded and updates them when it feels like it, they are both dated a while ago but they update from now on those dates still. The signal is terrible as I was accused of speeding because the signal jumped from the dual carriageway to a local street

This company is a joke. I was 17 when I passed my test having been offered carrot as the cheapest quote of £3,700 on a 1 litre Citroen. I took it. They fitted my black box whilst my car had tints and alloys, anyway accept loosing points for staying out after 11 being the only downfall as my second year renewal came up carrot again was cheapest. I took the policy paying 1,600 in one payment. Having to have a black box again they came to install it and refused due to my tints and alloys yet I had them from when I purchased my car. They threatened to cancel my policy so i removed the alloys and window tints. On the last day carrot allow the black box to be installed before cancelling the policy no insulation person turnt up. I called up numerous times to be told the system was down, I waited in all day and they did not turn up!!! I yet again contacted them for them to tell me at 4pm the engineer won't be making it and they will be booking me in again for Thursday. RIDICULOUS. The company is a joke. Pls save ur money and stress and go elsewhere. So unhappy with the service

I wouldn't even rate this company a star. I'm a new customer and only am because it was the cheapest one I could find but its so much hassle. Any other company you put your details and its sorted but not with carrot you have to send a picture of every detail about you and your car. You have to download the app (or else they cancel your policy) you choose a certain amount of miles a year and you can't do any more than that, you get charged if you do. Once you've sent the pictures they require they continue to send more emails for more photo evidence and if you don't once again they threaten to cancel your policy. It's ridiculous.

I don't even know if i could rate this company a 1/5, if it was an option I wouldn't give it a star at all, that is how disappointed I am. My first issue is that the staff members are rude and obnoxious and don't actually want to help if you have a problem. Secondly my premium has gone up 3x and I am now paying over three thousand pounds for my car insurance, and get this my score on the app is good and I also haven't had an accident since being with Carrot. This company is a rip off and I would tell anyone to stay well clear. I am cancelling my insurance with them I am that disappointed! Not helpful one bit and I can honestly say I will never go near them again. The Carrot card is also a load of rubbish my account said i would receive 70 pounds for good driving I received 50 pounds instead! Not Happy.

What went wrong? Well, the guy come out to fit my black box and started going on about how my car(Nissan micra 95 k11) wasn't a 16 valve as it has a sticker saying 16 valve, when it is, as it even says it on the engine itself told him to look under the bonnet and wasn't interested. And then started telling me how my bumpers should be grey not black. He should learn about the cars before making bold wrong statements like that. And because the Nissan badge were sprayed black as it was going black with the silver coating coming off anyway. They have decided to cancel my policy! Just wanting to get money out of young drivers. Avoid going with this company at all costs!
