Payed 1 year car insurance and within 3 months they told me I am a wreck less driver and cancelled my insurance

Such a con take your money of you then say you've doing over speed limit and took full years insurance and they just cancel stay away from this company and when you try to ring they don't answerer

Absolutely awful customer service. It takes at least 20-30 mins to get through to anyone and most of the time they are useless. With 1 month left on my policy they charged me £175 for 500 miles. Then after to talking to a different employee I found out they could have given it for free as there was only a short time left. I recommend never going with this company.

Every time I've tried to get hold of them, there's been at least a 20 minute wait on hold, and sometimes up to an hour. They've promised me callbacks that never happened. When I moved from the centre of London to the remote countryside (moving the car from roadside to a garage at the same time) they tried to tell me that the policy was increasing. After an official complaint, they decided that it could stay the same. They've similarly responded with 'Give us £250' on several other occasions.

Carrot insurance is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. The customer service line keeps me waiting for up to hours at a time, they then can never help me and once even hung up on me because they couldn't understand my query. They told me I had to purchase more mileage as I had gone over even though I hadn't driven my car in a month, they then cancelled my policy and refused to give me a NCB for the year, despite it being 1 month before my policy was up for renewal. Just awful.

I have now cancelled my insurance with carrot as the box instalation is a load of rubbish the scores are so harsh and change all the time even though I drive the same. I am not happy with this insurance. 3

Where can i start with this company. They appeal to young driver with usually a few hundred quid cheeper then other companies however that all that appears to be good about this company. Since i work quite unsociable hours i tend to drive a lot in hours that are after 10 at night and i don't find it unreasonable to drive in my own car at my own expense after these times. Now after some digging and a call to customer services to find out why my usage score was -1 it was explained to me that i would get punished for driving after a certain time which to me seems like a curfew and extremely unfair.I did ask about Curfew's before i purchased the policy and which the conversation on the phone i have recored and will be taking further action on this that i would not be punished or restricted in anyway for driving after a certain time. Secondly , id like to say the customer service from theses guys is awful. Never have i had to wait 45 minutes on hold to then be told they have system issues now i know system issues happen however they should really change the hold tune to something that tells you they are unable to do anything. Lastly the excess millage charges are extremely unreasonable. I originally was reassured that i wouldn't need 8000 miles as a new driver and the guy on the phone managed to conivce me i would only need 5000 since then i have realised this was not enough and i have already had to pay 120 pounds just to drive another 1000 miles which wouldn't be unreasonable had i not paid 2800 pounds for the policy anyways. and I'm still set to go over and with only an month left on my policy they want another 120 quid for some more miles. I would never ever ever recommend this company to anyone. They attract you in with a decent price but the extras you will be charged after the policy has started are simply not worth it. i would also suggest that you pay more and don't get a telematics box in your car because they just aren't helpful and you will be punished for going even 1-3mph over your speed limit. STAY AWAY

paid 250 pound deposit, waited for them to come fit box but after calling refused to fit it as they said wheels were modified...these wheels were on the car when manufactured..they have now cancelled insurance and have the cheek to charge 35 pound cancellation fee and charge on top for the cover for two weeks after taking my deposit

I have payed a 350 pound deposit to cover the installation of the box etc. Yet cause i was waiting information on what i needed to do they have cancelled my insurance with out installing the box therefore i have paid out for nothing yet they are happy to take insurance from someone with a 3 year old daughter. No consideration for the customer as long as they get the commision for sittingnin there office. Great way to make an household struggle financially with the over priced charges and unneccesary cancellation

Carrot cancelled my insurance policy 1 month before it was due to be renewed. This was due to a milage allowance being exceeded. Rang customer services (a wait worse than ringing hmrc)to be given a quote for excess miles and how long that would be valid for (told 30 days) rang up 7 days later to pay for excess miles to be told my insurance was cancelled and that my underbroker had issued a refund. 20 days later.... Rang up carrot to enquire why the refund still hadn't gone into my account to be told it hadn't even been processed and that the amount I was told was actually incorrect. Lodged a complaint. Shady company.

Avoid at all costs. Black box is very temperamental and stops working when it feels like it. Cannot get through on the phone without waiting at least 30 minutes. Had a problem with the windscreen and carrot arranged for a company to contact me. When my son took his car to be repaired they demanded the full amount because they had never heard of my insurance company (carrot is just the broker). Carrot told me to pay it and claim it back from them. I'm still waiting and have now cancelled the policy. The worrying thing is carrot claimed they have no idea who contacted me to fix the windscreen - it must be a psychic company who can sense when a carrot customer asks for it to be done...........

Worst insurance company ever definitely do not recommend and they have the worst customer service I've ever heard in my life I'm fuming! How do they employ these people is beyond me. Cancelled my insurance after a month!!!

Already paying ridiculous money a month and still always being charged with unnecessary premium fees. When I call up I'm on hold for 30minutes minimum. Just happy to be driving.

very poor insurance. i wouldn't even give it 1 star. they take to long to answer the phone and there not helpful at all. Do not choose carrot. You will be wasting your money i promise you.

When I took out my policy I thought it was they were great ! Totally understand why people think their great ! I recommended them to lots of my friends ! I now know BiG mistake soon as you need them for anything ! Forget it ! I been told they will call back ! i waited few times ! Only to find out today they phone system not allowed out calls !! Wow !! Rearly !! Or just another excuse !! Customer service worst ever call them see how long you wait ! Just to ask a question i garantee no answer to the question ! It's like talking to a robot ! With no common sense ! Sales line great take the money ! Then just read policy very carefully before you except ! Would be my advise

Before you take out a policy make a call to their customer service 03333551725 and select option 2 as existing customer See how long you are prepared to wait ? To be answered ! Don't worry you will have plenty of time to think about this once your in queue !!!

Awful. Avoid completely. I chose this company as a young driver myself I found the best deal to be with carrot. What a huge mistake that was. I would not recommend anyone. They find any way to get money out of you. First of all the installation of my black box was around Christmas time and there was lack of spaces so this meant that I was outside my time limit and my policy would be cancelled. I phoned carrot about extra time and was passed on the the installers of the device the company who fit explained that I could have extra time and arranged a date however they explained that it should've been carrot who called and not myself. Customer service at carrot do not have any knowledge anytime I was calling I would be put on hold in order for them to ask someone a question. I was insured on my old car then upgraded to another and was charged £400 for this. Then the limitation of miles?!! I was not aware that when my policy started I would only be limited to 8000 miles in a year. It wasn't until I received a notice of cancellation email informing me if I didn't purchase "top up miles" then my insurance would be cancelled! To be able to send this email to a young person is horrific they do not know the panic that I faced. Not only have I received this email just the once it will not be 3 times. The price they pay for these "top up miles" is horrific at minimum for 1000 extra top up miles is around £90 they charge an admin fee of around £50. Oh and don't even think about getting through to them if you only have 10 minutes to spare customer service queue is almost an hour long each time you call. Aiming at young drivers is a way for them to get customers. I honesty cannot say a good words about this company. By having a "reward scheme" is only a measly way to attract customers when in reality you will end up having to put more money back in to the company than first quoted. I feel sorry for anyone who has been sucked in by carrot. DO NOT USE. MONEY GRABING.

AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!!!!!!!!! The Dashboard facility is an excellent idea for concerning parents. But that's where it stops. Customer Service is a shambles. Be warned up to 1 hour waiting times. Carefully check dashboard data. Black Box gives incorrect data.(problems with the ignition not turning off to record correct journey time and mileage) Had my sons Black Box checked 3 times now. Countless times chasing different departments. Now taking legal action for a comedy of errors over a 14 month period. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

Worst company ever. The scores I get from every trip are never correct. Gave me speed warnings for no reason (I'm on my last warning) and when I ring them they won't have none of it. They lower your score when it comes to get cash back even if your a perfect driver then the score shoots back up again once you've had your cash back. Do not go with this insurance they just mess you about.
