I had to change my van insurance from one that had failed its MOT to one that I was buying. The thing was that I had a few days gap between losing one van to buying a different one. I rang Dial Direct and explained my situation thinking I would have to go through all the questions to cancel one Insurance then having to start a new one in a weeks time. Oh how lovely the young lady was from Dial Direct. She must have known my distress and she also noticed I had been with the company a very long time. To my delight I was given 2 weeks grace to sort out a replacement van. Once I got my different van, I rang Dial Direct back and everything was set back up exactly the same as before with exception of the extra payment for the change over which was just a standard price. I couldn't believe it. The call was also covered by my unlimited minutes and not an outlandish number with a prime time number at £12 pm.

Very helpful with a windscreen claim. I had my van booked in on 3 different occasions for a windscreen replacement and failed to arrive each time for one reason or another. AUTOWINDSCREENS is the company. spoke with an operative who said i could go directly to the underwriter ageas who use AUTOGLASS. Have not rebooked it as of yet. Also sorted out my refund quickly as autowindscreens told me would take up to 2 weeks for the refund.Had it in a couple of days thanks to DIAL DIRECT.

Setting up with Direct was easy enough but I cannot leave a review about after service as I have not had to make a claim yet,hopefully will never have to.

If you are renewing an existing policy and there are no changes, you should not have to telephone the call centre and wait for 15 minutes. This is 2021 and should be possible to do it online. Pull your socks up Dial Direct!

Have been insured with you from when my son was learning to drive . He's passed his test now but my premium actually went up when I removed him from the policy . Wanted to add my 17 year old daughter to be told you couldnt help . Poor poor service and off to Admiral we go Very poor service

Totally hopeless. I spent nearlynthree hours trying to insure my car following a quote for £211. I had difficulty actually placing the order and eventually found a phone number which was answered after a very considerable length of time by a young lady who knew absolutly nothing and could not explain why the quote leap frogged to over £400 and whose comment was "It's on my screen" but could not make any intelligent or informed comment. AVOID THESE PEOPLE LIKE THE PLAGUE. They are amateur time wasters and bring the insurance industry into disrepute. Note that the "live chat" does not get answered (perhaps they are dead)
