Was with them long. Cancelled policy and moved to a competitor. Dial direct are not nice people to deal with. All things must pass. They were fired by me on Monday.

l bought new car tried to swap insurance cover to new car ,was told l could not do this and that l would need to start new policy ,lost 6 months car insurance and astronomical quote ,asked to speak to manager they put phone down because l was not happy waiting for upto 48 hours to speak to manager

Just cancelled my insurance Just cancelled my insurance, asked for my no claims information, there is an accident that I have not/never been involved in; I made them aware in December and still nothing has been done, my new insurance is due to be cancelled as they will not remove. Avoid at all costs - 8 phone calls later; 3 hang-ups, 1 complaint - and that's just today and I am nowhere closer to any solution. No-one seems to know anything at all there - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

For the time I have been with DD I had a reasonable cost of £250 for a mid range family car, I then moved to an area with less crime and had an increase of £50 and then the renewal arrived and had increased to £550 in 2 years. Needless to say along with other provider it is clear they collaborate to increase prices with no justification apart from financial greed. I suppose the insurance industry was feeling left out of the pillaging of the country’s resources/finances that the politicians, bankers and energy companies are currently doing. The company is a disgrace! Nothing more than corporate terrorist!

This is the 3rd year I’ve been with dialdirect. In my initial year the quote was competitive and I was really happy, even sharing my experience with family, friends and colleagues, who also took over with dialdirect. Not having any accidents or convictions the renewal in my second year saw a small increase, which I believed was reasonable. Again following a further year without accidents or convictions my renewal arrived for the period Nov’23-Nov’24 (my 3rd year)..it had increase over 100%. I am almost 60 years of age, Civil Servant with no accidents or convictions, driving a car almost 15 years old. I have taken this years cover, but I will NOT be renewing in November ‘24, and shared my increase with the friends, family and colleagues who had taken cover following my early positive experience. They have assured me they will not be renewing with dialdirect. Regards Mr D P Fox

I have cancelled my policy with yourselves, but you are on insisting that I owe you money,I have cancelled the direct debit.I got an email from yourselves to say that my policy was coming to and end,but you never sent me a quote for the new policy, so I went looking for a new policy,which I found,so I went with that insurance company. Then all of a sudden I got a letter from yourselves to say that I owe you money for the new policy you had stated, so I am not willing to pay any monies to you for that month,if you want to take any further then do please so,but you are not getting any money from me. I have been involved in a vehicle accident in June 2023. I logged a claim on my app after reporting it to saps. I was told I must pay excess of R5800.00 even though it was not my fault and they'll try to recover my excess fee from the guilty party. I got notified that I'm not getting my excess fee back the recovery process is unsuccessful so the guilty party walks free while I lost R5800.00 . I don't have words to describe my disappointment in my insurance company Dail direct and to top it all the excess fee is going up quite heavy with almost R1000.00 maybe they think money grow on trees . I gave them all the details of the 3rd party including accident report number 😞

Had lot's of problems trying to renew my policy due to dialdirect not satisfying my bank's security questions, they did this a few times and tried to charge me extra each time. I then gave them my card which they used last year and they were able to take the payment. All was well untill about 10 days later when they duplicated my payment,so I had paid twice. When I contacted dialdirect about this they said they would refund me but they couldn't do it straight away and it would take a week or two? Do not understand this apart from the money is in their bank. Haven't had refund yet so we will have to wait and see how long it takes.

Car insurance more than doubled in price from last year, despite no claim being made. Unfortunately I missed the date to look for a cheaper quote elsewhere. Will make sure I don't make the same mistake next year.

I rang over two weeks ago to explain that the auto- renewal process for my car insurance appeared to have misfired, renewing the policy in October 2022 when I had already taken out insurance with another company. The telephone operator explained that they could not deal with this (!) but that the appropriate department would contact me in a few days. It would appear the message was not transmitted accurately as the only thing that happened was that I received an email actioning my request to cancel the policy with effect from 16th October 2023. I rang the number suggested on the mail , again the operative was unable to deal with issue, simply requesting me to mail a different department., who would respond at the earliest in 3 to 5 days.

My insurance almost doubled and I couldn’t get the info I needed in order to be able to provide other quoting insurers with information they needed re a no fault, uncontested claim I’d had. I was bounced from pillar to post. Spent hours on the phone. We had a lot going on so I ended up being stuck with the ridiculously high increase despite 7 years of no claims.

The last year my policy was £350 this year it has gone up to £651 I can’t afford that and I’ll be cancelling why it should double is beyond me it may be due to an incident in 2019 but my last years policy was changed to include this so I’m baffled why £300 you may wonder why I didn’t cancel when it came to renewal the answer was I was on holiday abroad and then came back to deal with covid by that time it had renewed without me seeing it I thought never mind it’ll be around the same as last year £28 instead it was £56 I was shocked

A new customer. Won't be renewing. Unfortunately had to make a claim. I was let down by company, contractors did not attend appointment not once but twice with no explanation. Still awaiting. Very unprofessional.
