I wasn't particularly looking forward to receiving a premium quote for the forthcoming year since in previous years (with different companies) there has always been an increase. This year however, I was delighted to receive a considerable decrease in premium.

I've been with Dial Direct for about 3 years now and found them to be very good all-round, including reminders about my insurance coming up.

Cancelled car insurance after 4 months, was promised a portion of the amount paid as a refund. 2 weeks later the refund has not arrived. Ant to add insult I received an email claiming to be from DialDirect, telling me that I owe them £20, and if it wasn't paid immediately it was being sent to a debt collection agency. Useless

Renewing the policy with DD was easy enough, phone people fine. The 'crunch' will come if and when it comes to paying out - as I've discovered with insurers in the past.

Overall the treatment I received from DD was very good. Ultimately I was treated with compassion and understanding. I had one seriously bad experience, when I made contact with the helpline. Obviously I was dealing with an out of office hours contractor. I made my point some time ago, with a bona fide DD lady. She was brilliant and recorded my concerns. Hence only 4 stars on this occasion.

After changing my 2.5lt Lexus for a small 1lt Fiat Panda for which I do less than 2000 miles a year, my premium all of a sudden rises by £100 a year. I only need a car to go to the hospital and supermarket, otherwise I wouldn't have a car at all. For this privilege I have to wait in a automated telephone queue for what seemed like hours, but was actually only 1.5 hours, Your personnel were helpful, however, it was just waiting that drives you insane.
