I purchased a policy for my Honda Firestorm VTR but before I paid I rang and confirmed the cancellation charges. I was lied to about the charges and now they are trying to get a £50 fee + 2 months insurance! What a joke. Even the Chief Executive dont seem interested. So all in all I would never buy from them aka Carol Nash again. Bunch of liars.

Worst insurance provider i have ever been with i cancelled a policy that was due to start with a few days then got letters about payment i again then phoned them and told them to cancel then in a few days got another letter charging over £60 for them cancelling my cover had to phone again and they denied i had even rang them to cancel i told them to check their recorded messages they never rang back the next day as agreed (no suprise) customer servive is appalling got to a point that the operater was almost calling me a liar and arguing with me

Asked them to cancel my insurance 3 days before direct debit was supposed to be taken out. Called them 3 or 4 times before that date. Still got taken. Cancelled it by direct debit and the incompetent fools didn't tell close premium and received and email one month later saying I'm in arrears! Called them up again and they told me I owe them 300 pound 50 pound for cancellation and 250 for 'paying off the loan?!!! They are pulling figures out of their a** couldn't even explain to me what the 250 was for.

Appalling customer service, obstructive, refusals to allow me to speak to managers, have spent about 5 hours on the phone to them in the past few weeks (mostly on hold), twice told that I would be called back "within 24 hours" yet 48 hours late no phone call, received emails with vital correspondence from them that was virtually unreadable and no pdf option to open the letter. In the most recent phone call I was charmingly told by the guy (a team leader/manager) I spoke to that he had been 'lumbered' with my case.

I have a problem where they have deducted payment twice. Tried calling them....on hold forever and then told there is no one available to speak to you. My supervisor has told me to hang up on you as there are other calls waiting...bunch of tossers

WARNING !!!! Do not insure with them !!!! they have overcharged me by £1000 and they its taking forever to take my money back i have already called them 15 time in the past 5 weeks and now they want to refund me only £600. I am having a terrible time trying to get my money back.

Worst insurance company I have ever had the misfortune to choose Three months on a 12 emails I still don't have my policy I would prefer to walk than have to use these people ever again

Told by theBikeInsurer.co.uk that my "buy" from JMI had not gone through. That was untrue. I was charged. I never received a policy. Told by JMI to wait for the policy in order to cancel it! Finally 3 days after the start date I got them to cancel my non existent policy. They charged me £25. They were never "on risk". I never got the policy with terms and conditions. They never sent me a policy so what admin costs were there. Also I spent alot on 0844 numbers to sort it all out. You judge? Avoid them like the plague.

Very unhelpful when trying to change address on a third party only policy (To which there is no additional risk). Huge admin cost. Worth half the cost of the policy. Avoid this company at all costs. Very bad customer service.

I have never come across such incredible incompetence. I called 5 times to sort out a change of a date on my documents and kept receiving emails and letters that I hadn't contacted them. I'm talking about astonishing incompetence. They cancelled my insurance in the end asking me to pay more than 100 pounds for that!!!!! Without even breaking down the reasons etc. Avoid at all costs!

I would never recommend this insurance. bunch of idiots! You will regret if you buy this insurance. they wont let you change address, bike or any amendment in policy once you buy the insurance.

first and last time i use them , paid my money (oh yes they took that all right) but wouldnt email documents..I got fed up of waiting for them emails!!!! forget it ?? and got insured elswhere then they decided to send them ..left me in a right mess. spent a tenna on fone to them to cancell policy and they just ignored me ..advoid these people at all costs..there cheap yes but then u get what u pay for..worst insurers on the market advoid at all costs you been warned.

Recently took insurance with JMI. What a fuss, first thing was since I took out the insurance with them through CONFUSED. COM my online account had no password so I couldn't acsess my documents. When trying to speak to someone its near impossible to. Emails are said to be answered within 2 days which is total crap. And after I sort oiy everything they ask for my NCB which I sent only to find that it is car NCB not bike NCB which I specifically noted that I left the bike NCB blank on CONFUSED. COM. Now they're asking for the policy to be cancelled which they're also asking for a £50 cancellation fee which is pretty much half of the policy cost anyway! Avoid these at all costs!

Impossible to speak to anyone. The breakdown cover that was included as part of the insurance is impossible to use - you call the breakdown number and it simply tells you "this number is no longer in operation". Luckily I was trying to use the recovery service when my bike was at home, rather than when I was stuck by the roadside, otherwise I would have been in real trouble. Will be reporting them to the ombudsmen.

I have read the reviews but despite the negative ones I wanted to give it a try just in the case of the third party only insurance: bad mistake. The scooter was stolen just after one week of buying it, wanted to cancel the insurance but the police advised me not to, but to inform them about the fact that the bike was stolen. Result: took me three calls (one of which had to be paid by me to one of these 0844 numbers) for hearing that "I did not have a policy with them". "But I received the documents online!!!". Eventually they found it but they were completely non-competent and non-transparent about their policy. Eventually, when asking to speak to a supervisor, they were too busy to do that. Pay a bit more, but go for a more serious and professional insurance company. At least that is what I'll do if I ever decide to buy a new bike. That is what I will definetely do in case mine gets recovered (fingers crossed!!).
