All round shocking from start to finish I will be making a complaint over how I've been dealt with!!!,I recommend you stay away from using this company!!!

This company have never written to me in the in the 14 years I've been with them. I have reported this company to the fca, there will be an investigation. I think there customer services is terrible ,they will give you any explanation to avoid saying sorry or putting the situation right. It's about time this company took a good luck at its services. I would avoid this company for these reasons. A good company would always keep in touch with you annually just to let you know you are a customer of theres. Shocking !!!!!!!!

Worst company I've ever dealt with. Lied to throughout the whole process. My claim was for £2000 minus excess - they've ended up costing me £2300. So not only am I £2000 down through burglary, it's cost me £2300 for a holiday I can't go on because they can't resolve my claim as quick as they promised me they would. Stay away at all costs.

I HAVE PET INSURANCE WITH LEGAL & GENERAL. oUR DOG HAD TO BE PUT TO SLEEP AS HE HAD CANCER, NO PREVIOUS CLAIMS EVER. lEGAL & GENERAL HAVE SAT ON OUR CLAIM SINCE 1ST WEEK OF FEB 2017 WE ARE NOW THE 10.03.17 AND OUR CLAIM HAS ONLY GONE TO BE ASSESSED YESTERDAY. APPARENTLY THEY HAVE A BIG WORK LOAD !!! VET FILLED OUT THE ORIGINAL FORMS -SO I DONT KNOW WHY IT HAS TAKEN SO LONG. VERY ANNOYED CUSTOMER WOULD NOT USE THEM AGAIN.

I never write reviews but I have in this cause because L&G really deserve a good one, they have been helpful and simple all the way through. From our initial quote - where everything I queried was explained clearly, to taking out the insurance and then processing our first claim. I didn't think we'd have to claim as early on in the policy as we did but when we had to it was easy and quick. I completed the claim form that we were sent when we took out the insurance, dropped it into my vet and the funds were credited to my account not long after. I didn't have to do any chasing up at all. Lovely customer service team and easy to follow processes. :)

I wouldn't even give them 1 star! They find any loophole that they can not to pay out, they don't care what kind of traumatic experience you have been through, their aim is to avoid paying out! Sue them!!!

Bought a policy on 19th Jan to replace my home insurance due 30 th Jan 2017. Was unable to gain access to review policy , site did not work. After numerous e mails that where ignored I rang them. They promised to send out postal copy, and a new e mail. Policy proved inadequate, only insured emergency cover for nine months not a year .... rediculous. Cancelled policy 1st Feb . They tried to charge me cancellation fee, (you have a two week cooling off period anyway. )asked for refund 2/5 days. Rang them repeatedly. Now it's 7/10 days. Meanwhile my property it uninsured because of their inadequacy. I'm still awaiting payment and it's now 12th. Do not touch. Inconsiderate, uncaring thoughtless company. I am seeking legal advice.

I had a burst water pipe four months ago in Sept 2016. We are now towards the end of Jan 2017 and I still have no cooking facilities nor a kitchen for that matter. I have wires all over the place and holes in the ceiling still etc. I have a four year old son who lives with me. They do not communicate with you and they do not care, no point phoning the call centre people a waste of space. They have caused me so much stress from all of this. It has affected my wellbeing. Do not use them EVER!!!

Dont ever buy a polucy with L & G After a water leak they Appointed a company called BVS to deal with the damage. Prices offered were less the half of water 3 building contractors priced to do the work. BVS don't do any building work but are there to short change policy holders. Stay well clear of both companies.

I bought a new bike and insured it through L+G along with an existing bike. The cost to insure two £500 bikes on top of my existing policy was very cheap at only £13 a year. I was horrified when one of my bikes was stolen only one day after I'd insured it. I was convinced that they would think I was committing fraud and refuse to pay out but they only asked a few very reasonable questions and then not only paid out for my bike but also for the lights and locks that went with it. There were no quibbles at all. They didn't even ask for receipts for the lights and lock. I was very impressed. I had the money (obviously minus the excess) a week after my bike was stolen.

I would rate you 0 if this page allowed me. Absolutely horrendous service from start to finish and wouldn't even pay out on our claim, which they haven't issued a valid reason for. Some incompetent person pocessed the claim wrongly to begin with and now it has left us with nothing because not one person in that call centre can do their job. Avoid this company because believe me you will pay monthly and get nothing from them, not even a good service.

Absolutely shocked! Do not take responsibility for anything just forward you to BVS who are worse than a waste of space! The Survey was a joke at best and their advice has been bad, the ombudsman following our claim!!

Absolutely shocking customer service. So many delays trying to get a policy set up we cancelled. Each person gave us a different story about them having everything then the next that they needed more but didn't tell us. Too frustrating for words. Now being hounded by some silly survey company for which I didn't giver permission for.

Reported a claim and 2 weeks passed and heard nothing called them again to be told someone would be in touch within 24 hours that was a monday by friday still no call. I called them again on my dinner hour to be on hold for 52 mins on a premium rate call to be told sorry wrong department so called again to be messed around and put through to wrong department another twice. This company take your money but arent there to help when you need it. The attitude of the advisors and the knowledge is non existant i will think again when renewing my insurance. Very poor customer services they should be out of business

Did not get insurance from these people, I made a claim in 2013 they have not paid me for lots of items that was took from the break in. Then they made me wait over 2 years before they paid me a little bit of money. In the policy it says they must replace items as new. Legal & General gave me money to buy 2nd hand stuff it was no were near enough to what I'd had stolen, very bad customer service they even tried to say I didn't pay my policy, I had had though. This was there way to get out of trying to paying me, but i dint give up as i knrw i was in the right.please don't be gullible like myself run and find a different policy holder, I wouldn't recommend these to any 1 there a disgrace there a rip off and thus is how they make there money.

We came back home at 10:15 p.m. and realised there had been a burglary at our house. The back door glass had been smashed. Obviously the police advised us to get in touch with the insurance Emergency services adn get the property secured. The first call was made around 10:30 p.m. and we were told that someone would contact in 15 minutes. The same response was given until 2:00 a.am. in the morning when finally they said that the contractor has now refused the job. This was in a situation when the family was already scared adn emotionally challenged. We went to a friend's place but my husband was standing out in teh cold /sitting in the car waiting for someone to come. Finally at 3:30 a.m. the company said that they could not arrange anyone to come over. On my insistence , My husband left the property vulnerable and came to the friends place so atleast we could all be together. Not a good experience at all , especially when we needed help the most. Will not recommend at all.

Your health is at risk if you use this service- Appalling Service - Ten weeks and the property still has not been dried out by L&G. Young child in the house and left without heating and washing facilities. They have breached their contract by not providing equivalent accommodation. They forgot about us and lied about it. They ignored the fact that my daughter has asthma and cancelled the drying service. I hope that they are warm in their beds tonight, whilst we sleep in the cold and the damp for yet another week.

Please read the reviews regarding this company before you give them any of your money !! I am absolutely disgusted with the service I have received! Changing my insurance policy to a company that does not treat their customers with the rudeness I have received. Very unhelpful when trying to add to my policy and even had the phone put down on me!
