Having read the reviews on the gladioli mixed flower arrangement I decided to buy these for sisters birthday on the 18th September, they arrived on time and all appeared fine but by the following Wednesday the 23rd they had started to droop and die off. Several twigs had to be put in vases to help hold the flowers up but after a week they were designated to the bin. No flower food was included so don’t know if this was a factor in their early demise. My sister has years of experience in looking after house plants/flowers and also garden plants/flowers so know their passing was nothing she did or didn’t do. Sadly not impressed with the gladioli arrangement.

I recently received a bouquet of red and yellow roses with lilies as a gift. I unpacked them immediately and followed the instructions to the letter. I noticed that the leaves of the All red roses were very dry and papery. There were two large pieces of single use plastic around the bouquet, but no water. This was highlighted on the packaging as saving precious resources, but the red roses had already wilted before unpacking, and the yellow roses , while reviving overnight in water, developed brown outer petals within two days. The bouquet was dead in less than five days, so the water used in its cultivation was wasted and the single use polythene wrapping wasted oil-based resources. This was a very disappointing bouquet, and I feel that there is a lack of research into the effect of transporting flowers without water which has led to a waste of the flowers, as bouquets from other suppliers which use water last for around two weeks.

My brother sent me a bouquet following my car accident, but I could have cried when they arrived as they were well past their best. The bouquet comprised white roses - outer leaves brown. White stock - limp and unattractive, green chrysanthemums - also going brown at the edges and several sprigs of green foliage which were also limp. I wouldn't take a bouquet like this to my worst enemy. The cut end of the stalks was really brown, as though they had been sitting around for a couple of days. It would upset my brother to know how awful these flowers were, and of course I shan't tell him, but I'm telling you that I was very upset when I got them.

Had to order two bouquets when my mum’s birthday one was to be sent to my house. I only noticed the error after an hour and with M& S that’s too late to amend/ cancel order. It is not clear on the online order form where the delivery address goes as against your own one for credit card purposes. This has happened to me before but I noticed it in time and was able to cancel and reorder. Now I’ve had to buy two. One for her and one I don’t want to be delivered to me. Will use independent florists next time.

Flowers delivered on 17th September, gift from friend. Three days later starting to wilt. Today 25th, a sorry state. Receive bouquets from M & S source frequently and this is the first they have disappointed. B. Walker

Flowers ordered by a friend for my birthday in solitary quarantine didn’t arrive. Too late now M&S have advised my friend to get a refund after she rushed to the store where she ordered them to get poor customer service attitude. On a plus, the last few M&S bouquets I’ve received as gifts have lasted only two days ..compared to past the sell by date ones I bought myself from Asda...two weeks later still lovely. Better to order from local florist...

I ordered delivery of food & treats for my uncle's 90 th birthday as we could not meet for small family celebratory lunch. M & S used Yodel to deliver the food & they left at wrong address. When it eventually reached him 8 hours later( via neighbour) it had to be thrown away as chilled food had been sitting in sun. I wrote letter of complaint to M & S but have not received an acknowledgement. My poor uncle's 90 th birthday was a wash out & caused him extra stress & work rather than being a pleasant surprise.

Waste of money. Very uninspiring, poor selection of flowers. I could have got exactly the same from local supermarket at a quarter of the price. First delivery was ok, but has got progressively worse. Spend ages on the phone trying to get through to Customer Services, then cut off. Emails go unanswered. Have now cancelled and gone elsewhere.

Received delivery of a rose and sea thistle bouquet as an anniversary present from family .what a disappointment..Rose's fell apart on opening .the other flowers had a brown tinge to them all .On discussing this with your customer services they sent a replacement. They came and were exactly the same ..after 5 phone calls to customer services I was told to get my family to get a refund appauling service ..

Flowers were late. I tracked them as they were a gift, and could see they were sitting in a depot for two days. When they arrived they were all dead!! Waste of money. Customer services offer to send a 'fresh' bunch. No thank you! Also Marks and spencer rejected my review for their website. Basically, they know they are conning people and don't care! Don't waste your money or time with M&S flowers.

My daughter ordered flowers to be delivered to me on my birthday, a Saturday. These flowers were not delivered to me until Sunday afternoon although a delivery date of Saturday was clearly shown on the box. Obviously the flowers must be delivered on the day requested or there is no point in spending a lot of money on them. This is not the first time that flowers from M&S have arrived late. The flowers were looking a bit sorry for themselves when they arrived but hopefully they will pick up. I

Received Serene Bouquet as a gift - very disappointing - chrysanthemums had brown tinged petals - obviously had been cut some time - others were losing their petals - roses had limp drooping heads - very poor. Need to get your act together M & S - not good enough.

On Thursday 13th August, I bought my granddaughter a £10 bouquet as a present for achieving good A-level results. The bouquet contained several large sunflowers as well as some other blue flowers and foliage and the label on them stated that they were good for up to 7 days. When I spoke to her this morning my granddaughter told me that the flowers had to be thrown away yesterday as they were shedding flowers and the leaves were wilting. I am so disappointed.

Ordered a Lavender tree for a silver wedding present, never arrived on day r the next day. Contacted customer complaints and eventually after contacting them twice was eventually told was still with courier would be delivered 2 days late, not good enough, asked for compensation was offered £5 not acceptable upped to £ 10 still not satisfactory, told them would not be using them again, so beware, not the first ye this has happened after speaking to family members. Would not recommend....... bad customer service M&S.
