not recomended. when trouble starts they avoid as much they can. Eg when buying policy Ive described my parking over phone. When mopet got stolen the reason they voided was parking spot. Funny when they investigated me they use google maps to see parking spot but not when you purchase insurance. seems like a scheme there :) they try you for sure.

Very rude staff try to avoid this insurance I have a full comprehensive insurance paid for the whole year started on 03/04/2018 and they refuse to give me a courtesy vehicle since my bike had an accident on 20/07/2018 they took my bike for 6 months for inspection and return it to me as a salvage and refuse to pay it off and they refuse to give me my refund I have to keep on paying till 03/04/2019.. I feel like I’ve been mugged off ... choose your insurance wisely this is not something you would expect ...Now they’re coming with an excuse saying they need the bike back after they had it for six months (Ridiculous) The only thing they do is take your money that’s the only thing they care very bad experience worse in my life.... Authority needs to look into this

Why is there a no star option. I am currently being pursued by mce for a policy I didn't open on a bike I don't own, they have been bending the truth to there advantage. They told me they have listened to a call of which I rang them and requested a renewal which is a lie on there part as A- they rang me I didn't ring them explaining that there is changes to my current policy and B- I know I wouldn't have renewed it because I was selling the bike 😂. I contacted them to get the issue resolved and after being passed around I finally had it sorted by there one decent worker who informed me that it was cancelled and I didn't owe anything and he's happy for me to retrieve my money. (By the way they cannot listen back to the calls like they said because if they could they wouldn't have called me just over a week later starting the whole process again telling me I owe them money again for a policy I didn't open). This was my personal experience with them and I am £381 out of pocket already of which they will not return and are pursuing for more.

Tried to ring customer service but give up after 45 mins waiting in queue, brought policy through go compare paid but have received zero correspondence.Rang again but used line to pay for a policy they answered immediately seems there'll answer phone if there getting some money but f*** you when you're paid.

Had a bad experience my bike was stolen and I felt I had to jump through so many hoops to get any information. I had to make endless phone calls & wait to receive phone appointments which was not convenient as I work. I was made to feel guilty & felt I wasn't believed. Eventually I got a settlement & sent the required documents & keys by recorded delivery, being told I would receive an email when you had received them. I recieved no email so was worried and had to make another phone call. During this phone call I was eventually told the documents had been received but when I asked when I would receive my settlement the lady on the phone said she didn't have this information so I would have to wait for another phone appointment. This is totally inconvenient & unacceptable & will not be using this company again.

Bunch of rip off merchants, I had only had my insurance out for 1 month when I sold my bike. When I cancelled my insurance I was told I would not be due a refund. I thought I would at least be due half back.

Don't waste your time. As soon as they have your money, bye bye. Impossible to contact. Claims are slow and immediately handed off to a claims handler (Plantec). Still waiting for my non-fault claim to be completed, 20 days with no bike for minor damage. Shamefull. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I was told a price then a higher price and then a higher price, untill your ready to pay it goes up and up and up. The first cheap quote you get is to draw you in then the hit you with a higher price, wouldnt recommend

MCE, came up for best price for my motorcycle on two, comparison websites. I could not purchase the policy on line, the website would not let me. After 45 min. waiting on the phone, eventually got through. Gave all my details again, and in the process, was called 'mate' didn't even know the person. When I received the quote it was £142. more than I was quoted on line. Told the sales person I would not pay that amount as I had been quoted less on line. Then got 'let me talk to my manger' c***. got it down, but still had to pay £60 more, than I was quoted on line. Don't think I will be using you guys again next year, felt I was roped in by your low on line quotes.

Very disappointed with the way a quote was emailed to me and then for MCE to try and charge considerably more just for me checking the details of the quote on line!!! It then took nearly 50 minutes on the phone to correct their mistakes!!

Firstly mce did not send me a renewal.notice 2 weeks before my policy was due like most. Then I downloaded the app & my payment was refused so I re download the app & got 2 but it eas sorted

Customer service is poor. I was quoted an extra £60 after another year claim free and the couldn't explain why. I paid and got a receipt on the 3rd of January when my Insurance runs out 31st. Since then I have had six calls from them to see if I wanted to renew. Do they not look at the systems they operate. Poor Indeed - Wont be using them again.

Would NEVER recommend MCE as they will not pay out they will find any little excuse not to pay out and high rates this as to be the worst insurance company ever please avoid

Its not very good when I've use the same insurance for my motorbikes for sum years now i purchase a new bike last year when to reinsure i change my address and everything was the same with extra security bike in a lock up on my property alarmed mobilised datertaged and both wheels are anchored down but use where asking £1340 from £500 which is £840 more then last year its a same you get nothing for a loyalty staying with the same company so went on line and got £3.00 cheaper to what i paid last year with MCE how does that work or you just like having bike riders over a change of address does not warrant £840 rise

Any Company that still persists in using a costly 0844 tel no for Customer Service only deserves 1 star! Save a fortune and use 01933 351361 instead! A 33% Broker Fee of £25.92 can't be justified on a premium of only £79.65. This premium was justified by "Scooter premiums have risen a lot recently" yet mine is a 8yr old, 9bhp, 125cc motorcycle (V5C says so) with 17" wheels (Honda ANF "Innova" ) so definitely not a scooter.

Customer service was great, the lass did everything she could to help, but I I got absolutely bent over a barrel. By going directly to mce call centre instead of just going online they wanted nearly double the amount, apparently this is because they fill out the form instead of you, which means liability lies with them in case of inaccuracies.

Working in Insurance I should have known better. Went with MCE for a bike policy in 2016, had a non-fault accident causing serious injury on 6th June, it's now Jan 18 and it's still going on. I understand these things take time and I'm not back to full fitness but the solicitors they appointed (Fletchers) are dreadful (to call them incompetent would be kind). The solicitors all work part-time so you never speak to the same person twice. Letters arrive 2-3 weeks after they are dated. Medical care is always 10+ miles away from home. The medical expert says a 'serious and severe' injury and Fletchers send me a letter saying it's minor, I'm not even sure what planet they are on, I'm still having treatment and it will be 3 years since the accident in June! Every time anything happens I have to chase them, every couple of weeks until they do something. I had a medical exam in March last year, the 'expert' had his car broken into in June and my hand written exam notes were in there, 3 MONTHS after the exam. Data control isn't their strong-point either. All-in-all the worst experience I've ever had.
