“I have been a customer for 5 years and insured a second bike last year. I got a quote of Bike Insurer for this years insurance with MCE which I was happy with. I then contacted MCE to go ahead with this and the price was £100 more than previously quoted on Bike Insurer. I asked why this was and wasn't given a straight answer. As this new quote (on phone) was only £20 more than the next cheapest quote I went ahead to avoid the hassle of changing companies . I don't see how an insurance company who I have never used can insure me cheaper than one I've been with for 5 years. I will be changing insurance company next time round.”

“After getting a quote from mce of 328.00 I called to set up the policy. I had 2 years no claims from a previous policy with mce that ended in jan 2017. I was told that the no claims couldn’t be used due to the fact They was over 3 years old (out of date by 3 months). So I asked why there is a 3 year limit as claims and convictions are counted for 5 years with mce so no claims should be the same. After being told by the adviser the quote was now 580.00 and if I am not happy with it go somewhere else. Tbh there quote with no no claims was still the cheapest but the way I see it is they stuffed me with taking my no claims I had off me. If they have a limit of 5 years for claims and convictions then the no claims should be allowed to be used for 5 years. Seems like this company want the cake and eat it. And it you don’t like it go somewhere else. Not a good way to do business. I am now trapped with mce due to having no no claims and cannot get insurance from anywhere else due to having none. Bit of a joke tbh had me over a barrel.”

“It's my 1st year with mce, it was a bit cheaper than my current renewal with a lower excess and extra cover it's wasn't the cheapest option but due to the extras being included it was the best deal”

“I compared on MCN had to call in to check some details. Paid on the call no paperwork came until 2 days later, which was what I was told but worried me as no payment taken ? Called them back sorted on day 2 almost immediately, brilliant price service took longer due to lockdown issues no doubt. Leathers/helmet cover £750 Pillion and track day cover & breakdown no extra charge.. Bennett’s and others costs were £1000 plus more!! thanks MCE you got me back riding at a fair price.”

“My renewal came through from MCE so I thought I would use a comparison website, it came back with MCE being the cheapest still, very easy to set up online I had no issues at all”
