“After finding Policy Expert through a comparison site I was impressed with the way in which the details and information required to make a decision were communicated. This was clearly laid out with a tick box chart - very clear and helpful. I chose the silver policy. In addition I made a call ahead of securing the policy, no ‘options 1-5’ and no time waiting on hold just straight through to a friendly, non pushy call handler. Price point also suited what I was looking for. I haven’t had to claim yet, and hope not to, so can’t comment on that side of things to date.”

“The staff were really helpful on the phone when I was having technical difficulties paying online. The policy was set up within 20 minutes and they also were able to add my mortgage lender onto the policy to save me the trouble after the policy had been put on risk”

“The Home Insurance Policy was easy to set-up and was good value, so I was initially very satisfied and would have given 5 stars..BUT 10 weeks after the insurance started my hearing was tested and I started wearing hearing aids (from Boots). I went to add them, as a named item, onto my insurance policy, only to disappointingly find out that the maximum value for hearing aids with Policy Expert is only £5000 (so £2500 per hearing aid) yet the cost to replace mine singly would be £2795 so, after a long and frustrating web chat, Policy Expert declined to insure them, so I have had to insure them separately elsewhere. If you have, or might have, hearing aids BEWARE unless you are getting the cheaper ones! Hopefully, Policy Expert will increase the maximum value of Hearing Aids to £6000 over the next year to take into account the next generation AI-enabled hearing aids.”

“Had to ring a couple of times after applying on-line (I’m a dinosaur and had a few problems!) On both occasions I spoke to very helpful advisers who were very re-assuring and took the stress out of the procedure! Overall was surprised at how much more reasonable the cost of the same insurance cover was than that quoted for renewal by my previous company of many years”
