“As a pensioner trying to find a simple answer on their rubbish complicated site is not worth the saving never again I would sooner pay a little more for an after sales service. my problem is still not solved”
“Dont expect to be able to actually talk to someone. Watch the autorenew as they charge you £28 for cancellation in the first 14 days if you have not turned it off and doesn't matter if the card belongs to someone else either who hasn't given permission to reuse. Customer service is non existent and I would hate to have had an accident whilst being with them as No one ever answers the phone after 5pm so keep your crashes between working hours to stand a chance of help.”
“This "Con" Company is Aviva. I have already had my standoff with them, used their ombudsman's service, biased and useless
and way past its time to be closed down.”
“I`ve had the most awful experience with QMH, if someone else told me this story I would never believe it.
I had a general question about my car being driven for charity purposes, but no information can be found on their website. I quickly realised that they don`t have customer service, you can only contact them via email on their website, but none of the pre-offered subjects cover `general enquiry` or similar. Never the less, I sent in an email, mentioning that I wish to cancel my policy with them. Because of the time wasted and the frustration I also submitted a 1-star review on a different site, mentioning again that I will cancel my policy with them. Their next move - they locked me out from my account. My sign in credentials I used 2 hours before suddenly did not work and even though I tried to reset my password about 20 times, I got the same error message: password and/or username incorrect. The only way to cancel a policy with them or to send them an email (the only way to communicate with them apparently) is to log in to your account. They have deliberately cut me off from any opportunities to get in touch with them and to cancel my policy. I contacted Trading Standards and updated my other review telling them that I will take this further to the Ombudsman - all in all about 10 hours later I magically get the access back to my account. Needless to say, I cancelled the policy immediately. Do yourself a favour, avoid these fraudsters like the plague. They charged me £56 for the cancellation, but to be fair, after my experience, I would have happily paid even £5600 to get rid of them and to never hear about them in the future. I am now back with y previous insurer, a bit more expensive (although considering the coverage I got from them, I would say the basic insurance would have been maybe about £60 more expensive for a year than QMH) and will never even poke QMH with a stick in the future. I raised a formal complaint and hopefully, the Ombudsman will bring this fraudulent company to its knees soon.”

“The only good thing about this company are they are cheap. But if you have an accident, the fun starts. They are impossible to contact via phone, they don't answer questions by email. Their site sends you in circles.
The nearest garage they would fix me at was initially over 40 miles away, so for a couple of weeks I tried to contact them to discuss it, but nobody answered (eventually a closer option came up on the site). The paint job their repairer did was poor with small air bubbles and a couple of drip marks.
I wasn't at fault but they have recorded me as being at fault, so my record is blighted for five years. They wont answer my emails about that either. Awful, just awful. There should be rules in place about companies like this who wont answer your questions.”
“Rubbish!! Don't have my car listed?? New mini?? say it will take 48 hours to deal with my change of vehicle!!! So I have had to take out additional cover at extra cost to myself. There system does not even list the basic mini one on a 2019???”
“They have failed to close my claim after almost a year of it being opened. They reimbursed me for the repairs, but are still open-ended on a claim to do with the car hire. I am inclined to believe they are making false claims, hence the other insurance refuse to pay. The only loser? ME! I have to stick with them as other insurers give me a much higher quote because my claim is still open and "at-fault". They do not change it to a no-fault (which it was) until he claim is closed. They do not want to take the other insurance company to Court as "they would lose" as they put it in writing. If the claim they are making is genuine, why would they even expect to lose in the first place? No one is chasing my claim, it is open ended and they simply do not care. They ever dare to tell me it is normal to take a year to sort out a claim. Well, it's nearly a year and I don't see an end to it. Shame on you!”
“Got a competitive quote but could not pay for it as kept getting error messages whilst rying to make payment. Could not contact them to resolve the iisue. Had to eventually give up and go to another provider.”
“Completely agree with previous review that this is the worst insurance company. They started quite well with lower prices compensating for e-mail only communications, but they are part of Aviva now, so pricing is in line with others , but inconvenience remains.
Used to have both cars with them, but their handling of the accident on one car was dreadful and they could not be bothered to fix the bug that prevented getting a quote for new car - it is almost like they do not care about the new business which sadly is probably a case.”
“Quite frankly one of the worst insurance company i have ever dealt with!
The lack of customer support is just mind blowing. I was with quote me unhappy for 3 years, my premium Each year upon renewal was always higher. I was never even presented with a renewal price, they just renewed my policy without permission.
Today i have cancelled my policy, as they have been charging me more then double any other insurance company! just trying to cancel the policy was stupidly hard. they didn't even try and match any other quote. left me feeling that they really don't care for there customers. There online only service is merely just a scam! a scam that makes it that hard for you to do anything.... that you end up not because its so complicated, so you just end up paying way over the odds for your insurance.
Please do yourselves a favor and avoid this company like the plague.
And existing customers, cancel your insurance policy right this second as you undoubtedly will get much better cover elsewhere. Trust me paying for admin fees is so much better then using quotemeunhappy!!!!!”
“Wish I had read these reviews before wasting my money - I will check the reviews of other insurance companies when this useless policy comes round to renewal.”
“Im waiting now 3 week for the claims department to decide if they want to fix my car or not. I really hope they do because the car had only steering rack damaged. Why does it take 3 weeks (and counting) to make a simple decision is beyond me. Oh and you cant get through to claims department because there is always a person in the middle that just passes information. Timewasters, never again these amateurs!”
“My situation is the same as in the case of Dr Andrew Valenzia. I uploaded the proof of no claim discount close to the deadline but then get insurance cancelled. The insurance is cancelled without warning or calling me. £50 is charged and I need to pay a higher premium at a different insurance company. Do avoid this company!”
“you can never get hold of anyone, costumer service is none existence. everything is pre recorded message. Drive for more than 25 years, this has to be one of the worst companies that I have insured with.”
“They asked for proof of no claims discount before the end of the month. Uploaded it on the 29th. Had an email sent through today stating they were cancelling my policy. (It appears as only one of the documents I had uploaded on their system actually made it through which is why they cancelled it) but no warning, nothing to say that the documents they had were not adequate - just- cancelled policy.... no way of calling to discuss, 48hr reply time to an email but my policy will be cancelled in the morning. AND they want to charge me £50 for the pleasure. Thanks for nothing. Great insurance company if you never need to contact them.”
“Unbelievably bad service. Even it may cost cheaper than many other companies, you will be shocked how frustrating when you need to contact them or get a response from them. Strongly recommend not buying insurance from this company.”
“waste of time using this company!!
no telephone contact and emails take them ages to reply and when you get a reply they still don't answer your question!!!
I've been paying house insurance and I should be paying contents!
so far since March 2018 I paid £471.89 when they realised I was paying the wrong insurance they refund me £149.80. so that's means £322.09
Now how contents insurance can be higher than house insurance???”
“Having been with Quote Me Happy for 7 years and never needed to make a claim, I recently had to cancel my insurance with them because my car got written off. I could only contact them by email which took days and days to solve my issue, I got not only charged too much for the cancellation fee but also they refunded me only some of my money. £80 too short. After that they stopped responding to my emails. I was absolutely disgusted with the service I got from Quote Me Happy and would advise everyone not to do business with them. I will be getting in touch with BBC Watchdog to have Quote Me Happy investigated.”
