This rating is not for the price (which was excellent), or the cover level (which was great), or the claim process (I never had to make one). This rating is due to the appalling customer service upon renewal. I got a renewal quote of £241 and an offer to "click here to renew", which I did. Whilst on the website, it suggested I could look at another level of cover (from Essentials, to Essentials Plus), and showed only about £12 difference. I click on that option to buy it, but when on the payment page it actually put the policy at over £350! So I thought fine, I'll go back to Essentials level, but that came out at £331. I contacted customer service, and this is where you find out why Quote me Happy as so cheap, because you CAN NOT call them, only use an automated bot chat (which can't answer anything more complex than simple FAQ's), or email. When I emailed them what happened, they simply replied because I'd made a change (I hadn't) a new price is generated. When I explained all I did was what their own website suggests, and look at better cover, they told me once the system has generated a new quote, the old renewal quote is invalid (this is not mentioned ANYWHERE on the renewal email, or the website that I could find). The emails you get from them, are generic, impersonal and simply tell you they won't change and have a nice day. I asked to complain, but was told I'd get a response in 5-10 days....which of course I did not. So, obviously I have gone elsewhere, but my warning to everyone is simply that if you never need to interact with them, and want the cheapest quote, then it's fine. Just bear in mind, for a few extra quid you can probably go with someone who at least will give you a phone number and may make more sense and be better value in the long run. I'd HATE to imagine what they'd be like if you ever need to dispute a claim......nightmare.

Terrible service......... Couldn't log on/wouldn't let me renew password sent all time back to logon. Claims line only and this is automated. Everything online refers back to pre-set answers which didn't solve my issue. Tried to contact them regarding renewal but impossible as couldn't log on/reset password using their system. Time passed trying to get hold of them, sent an email, no response....Now threatening me to pay next years premium .... you must be joking.... 1) beause I can't log on to discuss/address!!!! 2) after all the problems don't want to insure with them again... EVER

Wow, presumably QMH are regulated by the FCA? I shall be calling tomorrow to see how I go about mounting a case against QMH for misleading the general public with false promises and unrealistic expectations of their clients. This is appalling considering all I wish to do is login to check the policy cover level before I renew... I shall not be renewing with QMH after this nonsense however...

Cheap insurance but beware.... If you have to make a claim their service is appalling, even if the accident isn’t your fault. You have to do all the organising yourself and there is no urgency to any of the companies they use, and when they do communicate with them you have to keep going over every detail again and again. I will never use them or any of the Aviva group again for any of my insurances. Would give them zero stars if I could.

Absolutely impossible to sign in. Do not send reset password. Do not have phone line. Make it impossible to contact. Email enquires 'respond in 48hr' - total joke of a company. STAY AWAY

Cancelled as we bought a new car they charged us 2 months premium disgusting considering you can’t speak to anyone then cancelled a second car as renewal was due wanted all details of insurance I was going for and quoted me with a higher rate that I got talk about doing all your work Quote me unhappy won’t be using them again

Absolutely dreadful. My account is blocked and it will not let me reset password. Emailed them and was sent a generic response. Just sent another email to them explaining that I was still unsuccessful at logging in to get an automated response with up to a 48 hour response. Just bought a new car and want to change details. This really should not be this hard....

They are impossible to contact l I didn’t want to renew but all e mails came back . You can’t phone them , but hey I have just found this number and will try it after 8 am 08009047259

impossible to contact. I have tried to contact them to say I am not renewing with them . The frustration is awful and in the end. I cancelled the direct debit . Today they are threatening me with court .Surely they can seeI am now with someone else . however I have just found a number on the web ,08009047259 after 8 am . Complete waste of space this company

Same storey as others .tried to log into my account with correct details and told I am locked out . I cannot get in touch with them . Thank god I am Not on automatic renewal. ( hopefully this will work (

Locked out cannot reset to pay household premium I await further comment. Have been trying for 6 days to deal with problem to no avail. Now they will probably cancel my policy.

I was locked out of my account.Can't reset it,it want allow me to even though we have an account with them.Sent loads of email with no answer at all.Really fed up with them now!!!!!

Absolutely shocking company- AVOID! No phone number and do not answer emails, have taken 2 x premiums from me and still no insurance. they cancel without notice leaving you with no car. PLEASE PLEASE AVOID AND USE SOMEONE ELSE.

I have 5 years ncd on one car I’ve now purchased another car and used the same ncd when filling in the form and didn’t know you have to start from 0 ncd on my second car now they keep messaging me for my 5 year no claims discount I’ve told them I need to change it and pay the extra none of my messages are answered and they keep telling me to edit my account but youCANNOT CHANGE IT IT WONT LET YOU now I’ve had letter telling me they are going to cancel the insurance I’ve even messaged them with the problem and they keep telling me to edit my details BUT YOU CARNT CHANGE IT IT WONT CLICK ON IT all I want is an answer from a person not a computer

I had an awful experience - when it xame to the end I asked for my no claims and they said I had donde 2 claims which I hadn’t - I queried further and they said actually somebody had claimed against me but the details were wrong so the claim hadn’t progressed but they still held it against me !! It is impossible to speak to anybody - after trying to get hold of somebody and numerous emails I got a no claims and still there was a year missing ! Rubbish - do not use them

The worst insurance company ever. Tried to change from one car to another. All done online but they don’t tell you the cost. There system does not work on iPhone so no option to change cars. Wasted hours on computer. Phoned several times but will not help just saying do it online. Had to loose 6 months insurance to take out s new policy with another company. They should be ashamed.

Very very disappointing service. Been with company for 5 years, changed car three years ago no problems, now changed car to 2019 Suzuki Swift and been told unable to insure car despite nothing changing other then the vehicle. Vehicle has no modifications etc and policy appears to meet criteria required but now need to pay £56 cancellation fee to get out of policy on a car which they wont insure! This appears to be an established company practice, having read other reviews. Very very poor.

Quotememiserable! OK car insurance until I tried to cancel the automatic renewal - suddenly my account access was blocked so that I could not cancel online. Tried calling but they will only deal with claims by telephone. Emailed several times to try to cancel the insurance and they just sent password re-set emails in response which did not work. Then I received a text saying the insurance had been renewed along with an email saying I would be charged £50 to cancel. Still emailing and trying to sort this out with no luck. Wish I'd seen the reviews and comments on FaceBook before I took out this insurance as this appears to be a common problem to the point that some are calling it a scam. So far, I've got to agree with them and will be reporting the issue to the Financial Services Ombudsman.

I have arranged to collect my new car tomorrow but unfortunately the QMH system won’t allow me to logon and change my car details. When i request a new password link nothing comes through and you end up back at the same screen. You send them an email (only means of contact) and then get a reply saying they aim to respond within a 48 hour period. 48 hours!?! ... what good is that when you need to change your policy details asap! Reading other reviews here I suspect I am locked out because my policy renewed around 11 days ago and by blocking access they prevent any 14 day cooling off cancellations. This is all very frustrating and I am now at a loss what to do next.
