“Purchased another vehicle & changed the details satisfactorily on the website. However the day before collection the car company said they were waiting for a new part & there would be a 5 day delay. The QMH website wouldn't let me reinsure my old car so I couldn't use it for those 5 days. I did receive a reply to my email saying it was ok to use it but it still showed as not insured on the MID website. A shambles, terrible customer service.”
“One star awarded out of sheer frustration of trying to contact this company. They advertise email as one of their communication channels, but use only a 'no reply' email address. All attempts at getting a usable email address take you to the profoundly irritating 'Still need help?' section of their web site. If your issue does not fit in one of their pre-set categories, you cannot get any further. Interesting that they include 'Brexit' as a reason why you may wish to contact them. but not 'Covid 19'. Clearly a feedback form that hasn't been updated since March. Whatever renewal price they offer me, I will NOT be renewing with this company this year or any other year.”
“Awful company, no customer help line when things go wrong such as the website pages wouldn't load so I was unable to change my new vehicle information so after 2 hours of trying and using 4 different computers I was unsuccessful so the only thing left available to me was to cancel my policy which cost me £52 in cancellation fees.
Think twice before you use this company.”
“The website is a shambles. It is not possible to speak to anybody. I have had nothing but problems trying to log in and the lack of human interaction has caused nothing but frustration. They never sent me any renewal policy and I have not recieved my no claims. It has been nothing short of chaotic to cancel the policy. I will never use this company again for insurance, no matter what the price is that is offered.”
“My home insurance was expiring but I did not want to renew, so they send you several letters to demand for your next payment eg ' You have a outstanding balance of £*** , must be paid by certain dates to avoid further action' This is intimidating and appalling customer tactic to try and get me renew a policy!!!”
“AVOID AT ALL COSTS Tried to change vehicle registration number but the website is is completely useless and unworkable. Every click you make just leads you to a dead end. You cannot speak to anyone and if you try to be sneaky and call the claim number you get a volley of abuse. I am resorting to taking insurance out elsewhere and cancelling with this shower.
STEER WELL CLEAR”
“Overall been great but 1 star as 2 things have happened in the last 12 months. First I have still not had a full repair on my car after a non fault accident in Oct 19. Second the insurance premium is now over £100 more than others and they won’t discuss the renewal with me. There are better options and better insurance companies available”
“This company has taken 20 k off me for a car I don’t own and a number plate that was in retention
There response was I had the automatic renewal button on but admit there was discrepancy’s , however they did ring me when I cancelled the direct debit.”
“I pranged my car against my friend's garden wall and dented it. You can only speak to an advisor at Quote Me Happy via the phone if a third party is involved, if not you have to complete an online form on their website. I completed the form asking before I sanctioned the repair, whether it would affect my renewal premium or no claims discount. The online form crashed when submitting. I tried again later and it did the same thing again. Finally I emailed direct from my email rather than the online form them, received no answer to my query they instead just opened a claim for me and told me to take my car to one of their recommended garages. When they didn't answer my query I gave up and decided to just get the car repaired myself at a later date.
However now my insurance is due for renewal they have bumped up my insurance by £150 and classed me as making a claim even though I have not had any work done through the insurance company. I queried this and asked them to rectify this as I didn't actually make a claim that incurred costs for them. They stated that because I made them aware of the bump it is actually a claim.
Now I am 2 days away from my renewal date I have emailed them twice in the last 72 hours asking can I therefore put the claim through them and get the work done on my car. If feels like they are deliberately not responding to my query because they know my policy is expiring and then clearly when this occurs, they will simply wash their hands of it.
So I am now faced with the dilemma of renewing with them and paying an extra £150 premium for nothing or going with another insurer where I am now classed as having made a claim and so the insurance will be higher anyway. I feel cheated, I have received no customer service whatsoever from them. DO NOT USE them, if you are going to rely on an email based customer service approach, then at least manage it properly, be prompt and have systems that work and value the customer.”
“Online only yes but when I had an issue nobody was willing to help at all. I sent emails, got 1 reply then when I replied back I got no help what so ever.”
“Well, the selling of the policy was good, however, god forbid you have an accident whilst insured with them....you don't:-
A} Deal with the same person for each email..
B} They ignore you emails..
C} Deny they have had emails from you..
D} They will not reply to your emails..
E} The don't contact you to let you know what's happening
F} Email comms is the preferred method, gave up on that and after 30+ mins on the phone eventually spoke to someone
And this is before my claim is settled!!!!!”
“Not sure where to start really! I took out car insurance with Quote me Happy in May 2019. Changed my car late August but could not access my account to amend details completely locked out and no other way to contact them. I needed to pick up new car so had to write off insurance despite there being 8 months cover still to run on it and took out new policy with new company. Tried raising it with Aviva to no avail and currently there is an open enquiry with Financial Ombudsman. However about 4 weeks ago an email came in for the renewal for a car I have not owned since start of September 2019, I managed to use link on email and set up new password to access my account and cancelled the insurance or so I thought! Today £163 has been taken out my account , I raised this with PayPal today through Resolution centre to be told I can't have a refund as the payment was authorised. Payment most certainly not authorised by me and does this mean Quote me Happy will help themselves to my money every year! Never ever have I had problems with an insurance company like Quote me Happy who remain completely faceless and unaccountable it appears. Quote me Happy is owned by Aviva, who told me they couldn't help as it was a separate company and they can't access the records - consequently deal with them at you peril.”
“Truly dreadful company! Terrible customer service please avoid at all costs. No customer service number or email, so hard to get hold of. Because of the corona virus I needed extra time to gather together no claims discount because all the companies took ages to get back to me. Aswell as my wife being a nurse and family members being subject to corona virus we have had quite a difficult month or so, all of this was explained to customer service and they had nothing to say other than no extension will be given and that they are cancelling our policy and fining us £55. Now my wife has been getting taxis to work and we can't safely go to the shops. We tried getting new insurance straight away but because of staff shortages it's been a few days that we have had no use of a car. I can't explain strongly enough how poor their service was. They just simply did not care about us as people and had no care for us being their customers.”
