20/08/20. I have used Quotemehappy (QMH) for the past few years and thankfully I have never had cause to contact them. However my recent policy was due to run until December of this year and I needed to cancel it because I'd sold my car and wasn't getting my new one wasn't due until the middle of September. I had every intention of using QMH for my new car until I got the message back after cancelling that the admin charge was over £55!!!!! Where the hell can anyone justify such a high charge for simply cancelling a policy? Is this the highest anyone has ever been charged? I decided that I was going to ring them to discuss it, and/or discuss suspending it until the new car arrives....but heyho, they save money by not providing a phone number for anything but claims calls. That's me finished with QMH - I'm NOT HAPPY and won't be using them again even if they are a little cheaper than others.

Have insured with QMH for a couple of year without issue and a good price so for simple things its works great. Problem comes when you need to update the policy when you change car. Their online change car function completes saying that their automated system will not insure our new car - can't speak to anyone and it leaves you with the options to either cancel the policy update or cancel the insurance. So their system forces you can cancel the policy with a hefty fee. Suddenly the cheaper renewal is now not so good against competitors!

Like everyone else complaining about not being able to contact QMH when things go wrong, I have suffered stress over a very minor issue that could be simply corrected by being able to contact someone. It all very well being an internet-only provider, but there must be a mechanism for support when things go wrong. In my case, I was simply unable to change my insurance to a brand new vehicle because their systems did not recognize the number plate. This forced me to cancel the insurance and go elsewhere; with QMH leveraging a £50 cancellation fee! They have also failed to provide me with my no claims bonus, it just hasn't appeared on their website. Interestingly, I had to make a claim with them which meant I had to deal with their people via telephone; they were really good! They have forced me to move my custom elsewhere, I would have loved to have stayed with them.

I wish I could award QMH less than one star. Costumer Services simply not responding, except an automated email that says that they are busy. After a collision, QMH decided that my car is a total loss (write-off). That was back 5 months ago. Since then I received one single email informing me about the write-off, telling me that the company will contact me regarding the settlement and asking for proofs of buying the vehicle. After sending all the required documents, complete silence, despite sending them several emails. I am going to contact the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Absolute con company! Paid my insurance in full in May 2020, I’ve now bought a new car and Quotemehappy won’t let me change my policy! There is no customer service to contact anyone and they don’t bother replying to emails. So the two automated options they give me are either to cancel my policy which will cost me another £56 or keep the policy as it is which is utterly pointless as I don’t own that car anymore! Fuming with this total joke of a company. Won’t ever be using them again.

Customer service is dreadful with the operators not understanding the questions you put to them and not giving the answers required . I took car insurance with them and at no point during the application did they say that NCD on fleet vehicles would not be accepted . I then tried to change the policy to zero NCD to see how much the new cost would be and numerous stressful emails later i found you simply could not make that change .The are now trying to charge me for the calculation even though they did not mkae it clear that fleet NCD would not be accepted . You can't speak to anyone and have to wait 24 hrs or more for a response , absolute joke , do not touch .

Renewed with them even though it was £10 per month hike. I am in the process of getting a new car and they decide they can't insure my new car, despite it being the same new value as my existing one. Went with VW Insurance instead. Customer lost

I was in a none fault accident . My car was repairable.. However because quote me happy are awaiting admission of liability from third party insurance company apparently slow due to Covid 19 (up to 3 months) they have told me.. I have to pay the excess and or storage charges and claim it back from a solicitor... the excuse was because they have an agreement with 3rd party insurance company not to call each other in these reduced office times. So basically I'm paying out because they're working slower due to Covid 19. Bare in mind I'm not working any more and on benefits for the first time in my life... would not recommend this company to anybody. I have been with them 5 years too . I only get updates when I contact them too... I have had one email off them through all over this ..Hope this helps I'd anybody is making a decision about car Insurance .. Quote me Crappy

Purchased another vehicle & changed the details satisfactorily on the website. However the day before collection the car company said they were waiting for a new part & there would be a 5 day delay. The QMH website wouldn't let me reinsure my old car so I couldn't use it for those 5 days. I did receive a reply to my email saying it was ok to use it but it still showed as not insured on the MID website. A shambles, terrible customer service.

One star awarded out of sheer frustration of trying to contact this company. They advertise email as one of their communication channels, but use only a 'no reply' email address. All attempts at getting a usable email address take you to the profoundly irritating 'Still need help?' section of their web site. If your issue does not fit in one of their pre-set categories, you cannot get any further. Interesting that they include 'Brexit' as a reason why you may wish to contact them. but not 'Covid 19'. Clearly a feedback form that hasn't been updated since March. Whatever renewal price they offer me, I will NOT be renewing with this company this year or any other year.

Awful company, no customer help line when things go wrong such as the website pages wouldn't load so I was unable to change my new vehicle information so after 2 hours of trying and using 4 different computers I was unsuccessful so the only thing left available to me was to cancel my policy which cost me £52 in cancellation fees. Think twice before you use this company.

The website is a shambles. It is not possible to speak to anybody. I have had nothing but problems trying to log in and the lack of human interaction has caused nothing but frustration. They never sent me any renewal policy and I have not recieved my no claims. It has been nothing short of chaotic to cancel the policy. I will never use this company again for insurance, no matter what the price is that is offered.

My home insurance was expiring but I did not want to renew, so they send you several letters to demand for your next payment eg ' You have a outstanding balance of £*** , must be paid by certain dates to avoid further action' This is intimidating and appalling customer tactic to try and get me renew a policy!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Tried to change vehicle registration number but the website is is completely useless and unworkable. Every click you make just leads you to a dead end. You cannot speak to anyone and if you try to be sneaky and call the claim number you get a volley of abuse. I am resorting to taking insurance out elsewhere and cancelling with this shower. STEER WELL CLEAR

Overall been great but 1 star as 2 things have happened in the last 12 months. First I have still not had a full repair on my car after a non fault accident in Oct 19. Second the insurance premium is now over £100 more than others and they won’t discuss the renewal with me. There are better options and better insurance companies available
