All pretty shoddy. No organisation and now know What Sedgewicks are used for. Reducing claims. Don't use them.

Stay clear of the car insurance arm, they are incompetent, maybe a couple of pound cheaper but trust me and read other review, it is not worth it.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY INSURANCE PURPOSES. 1 FULL YEARS INSURANCE PAID FOR, DUE FOR RENEWEL 16th January. TODAY THEY HAVE STARTED A NEW CONTRACT AND CREATED A DIRECT DEBIT AND TAKEN THE MONEY FROM MY ACOUNT WITHOUT MY AUTHORISATION. CONTACT IS ABSOLUTEY DISGUSTING. SPEAKING TO CS ABOUT THE PROBLEM, THRY GIVE US THR CONTACT NUMBER WE ARE SPEAKING TO THEM ON, HONESTLY THAT WAS WEIRD. THIS COMPANY CLAIM TO HAVE SPOKE TO MY CREDITORS AND MADE THE ASSUMPITON WE WILL BE RENEWING THE CONTRACT WITHOUT ANY AUTHORITY OR SIGNATURE FROM ME. IN ESSENCE THIS IS THEFT AND FRAUD. I COULDNT GET THE PROBLEM SORTED AND I AM NOW OUT OF POCKET BEFORE MY DAUGHTERS BDAY. I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS COMPANY WOULD BE ALLOWED TO DO BUISNESS IN THE UK. THERES LITERALLY NO-ONE TO SORT THIS PROBLEM. ILL BE REPORTING THIS TO THE BANK, POLICE, LOCAL COUNCIL AND TRADING STANDARDS, BECAUSE IF THIS IS ALLOWED TO HAPPEN THEN ITS NOT A COMPANY TO BE TRADED WITH. TREAD VERY VERY CAUTIOUSLY. They refused point blank to deal with the issue, the woman called me a liar repetitively, literally. Something i don’t appreciate from someone who has made baseless accusations when I’m the one trying to get my money back. The phone call was put down on me. REPORTED TO TRADING STANDARDS.

First year customer, I wanted to add my daughter to our car policy. I tried to do this through on line, referred me to call customer services. I was told by customer services that she could not be added as I have business use included, which my wife has to have for her job. By having that it prevents me from adding any further members to my policy. Ridiculous, she only wanted to use the vehicle a couple of times. Will never consider this company again.

Have a complaint about a leaking pipe at my 80 year-old mothers house. Reported 11 weeks ago, still leaking, house ripped to shreds by the insurers and uninhabitable. Phoned on Monday night and spoke to someone who said he’d phone me back - gave mobile number. No calls, no missed calls either. Phone on Tuesday to chase the first guy up, took my number, said he’d phone back. No call, no missed call. I WANT SOMEONE TO CALL ME BACK AND GET THIS SORTED. IT IS DIFFICULT TO DESCRIBE HOW I FEEL THAT A NATIONAL, RECOGNISED COMPANY CHARING ALMOST £400 for house and contents insurance can leave an eighty year old lady in her house with this level of DESTRUCTION. THE CO-OP BANK IS TO BLAME FAIRLY AMD SQUARELY. I WOULD USE THEM FOR INSURANCE IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON THEM. THEY REALLY NEED TO GET THEMSELVES SORTED OUT AND COMMUNICATION NETWEEN THEIR THIRD PARTY COMPANIES ALSO.

Awful experience. Tried to con me into buying “extras” for my insurance by telling me items (mobile phone) not covered as didn’t have a particular module of insurance yet agreeing it was actually already covered by a different part of my insurance policy. Very misleading and wonder how many people are conned this way!

89yo Mother had a pipe leak in bathroom - wall floor and shower needed replaced. As I live a long way away - chose to have coop contractors......really bad decision!!! Dealing with 8 companies - most are cowboys and sent from long way away - why not use local suppliers! Workmanship awful too - despite coop admitting they messed up they are dodging payments! Coop people sound nice but basic incompetence and attitude negates any advice expectation! 40 yrs loyalty and no claims by Mother counts for nothing!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

I do not like their policy to add a driver for a short period. In my 50 years of driving experience this is the first time I could not get my son to drive my car while his car was out of action!!!

Took out young persons car insurance 8 months ago and needed a black box in car no problem I thought, I advise anyone not to take out a cooperative policy it is a con to get extra money from you. For the first few months my driving scores are good then they started to come down even though I was driving no different. My dad even drove my car for a weekend and could not improve scores and he is a professional driver. It seems the closer to renewal you get the lower your dashboard scores so that they can charge you more to recover car after first year. And now they want to stop my policy because apparently I have done 112mph in a corsa, really top speed is only 108mph and I had 3 passengers and a full boot I don't think so, no reply emails and talking to customer services is a waste of time.Just a con please don't insure if your are a new driver find someone else

On 2nd March 2018, we had a burst pipe in the attic and submitted a claim by phone with the Coop. The service received was friendly and helpful; unfortunately, from then on, matters went downhill. The company used by the Coop to validate the claim is Invisio - they took a week to come and assess the damage. On the 14th March, we had a letter from Invisio, advising of the amount of the cash settlement and that they would arrange for their own contractors to come and install dehumidifiers. We telephoned and set an email saying that we would accept the cash settlement and be pleased to receive the dehumidifiers. 10 days on and now over 3 weeks after the damage was caused, we've heard nothing more from Invisio - no acknowledgement of our email. Has the settlement been paid ? We don't know - we'll wait for the bank statement to arrive to find out. Of the dehumidifiers, there is no sign - the point about using dehumidifiers is that they should be installed as soon as possible - waiting over three weeks is unacceptable. Whilst the Coop themselves have some notion of providing decent customer service, the same cannot be said of the people that they use to validate the claim - Invisio.
