“We purchased a bed, but unfortunately it could not be delivered. Whilst customer support were very helpful, the inability to specify a delivery window made (and still makes) it challenging for us to actually get the thing we've paid for. It looks like we won't get the bed for another two weeks and even then, it's not certain they will be able to deliver it again.”

Good Afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review in regards to your delivery experience. All feedback is greatly received. We are sorry that on the day of your delivery the road restrictions worked against us. Sadly we are unable to manipulate the delivery times, offer set arrival times to choose or know in advance what time precisely the arrival will be due to many outside factors on the day. ( traffic, cancellations etc). We can only offer an estimated arrival time. A new delivery date was arranged for 4 days later unfortunately you were not available for that date and we have made arrangements for the very next suitable available delivery date in your area. Please do contact customer services directly on 02036952463 or hello@getlaidbeds.co.uk before 4pm on the 23rd of June to acquire the vehicle registration in advance. This will be the soonest we would know the confirmed van that will be delivering your items. Please be aware we can not know if there will be any vehicle changes that may happen on the day. “I bought Oxford single plus guest under bed. Pro - great customer service Con - customer service should have let me know or would take a tiring 3 hours to assemble this. - poorly explained instructions - ux eyes would be good on this”

“Reasonably fast delivery. The guys who delivered the boxes were nice and polite. My only issue was with assembly instructions. There was a lot of guessing + trial and error, before both us managed to put everything together. Pieces were not marked with letters/numbers. We struggled a lot and we’re quite diy people. Wouldn’t recommend to someone with no skills.”

“Disappointed with the quality of the bed. Centre rail doesn't fit in unless by force but cracked the wood. The screws for the headboard are designed badly which would be very difficult to screw in!”

“The title of the review is when is a bed, not a bed. Answer is when it arrives by the carrier but they would not hand it over because they have incomplete paperwork, so no bed was received on 18/5.”

“Bed looks good but disappointed with the instructions for setting it up given the bed cost over £1000, not a premium experience. Instructions didn’t match exactly what needed to be done, pictures were representative rather than exactly what needed to be done. If I’d paid a couple of hundred quid I’d say it was expected, but not for a premium product.”

Good Afternoon, Thank you for your honest review and images. We are sorry to see you are disappointed in the bed frame. The slats are not designed to sit flush right up to the sides of the bed, we have found that this causes unnecessary noise with wood flexing on wood which is easily avoided by having the slats spaced away from the side rails in such as way. If you wish to contact customer service directly in regards to your point raised about your central rail we can look into this for you further, I cannot see any communication from you in regards to this issue only your review. Please email in to hello@getlaidbeds.co.uk. I can see by your images provided that you have not yet assembled the headboard fully. Please ensure you securely screw the headboard together with the screws into the empty holes in the legs that are visible in your photos. “The bed looks good and came on time etc. However, though easy to work out how to put together the slots in head and foot part to put side bars in were not large enough so I was forced to screw together without parts being flush. I also don't know how it will work when I move house, for example, it seems like I will need to keep screwing new holes. Not nearly as well thought through or made as my old Litvinov and Fawcett bed.”

“Delivery misleading Putting bed together - do not attempt without power tools! Slats slightly too short so screws miss the support bar Nice looking though. Just not as straight forward as it is portrayed.”

“Overall the item looks as expected and the setup was easy but at the end of the product assembly, it became apparent that more structural stability may be required. The middle bar is not joined to the main bed frame in any way and the main wood exterior can be damaged simply by stepping on it at the wrong angle. Im expecting either cracks or damage soon if not careful...”

“I paid over £600 for a maple single bed. I read that their beds are 100% wood that you choose. I even rang up to confirm prior to ordering the bed. The frame is maple but the bed slats are pine.”

All beds will be made with Pine slats and internal support unless customised by the customer. I have listened to the call you made and you only asked if the beds are made with veneer, which that are not they are all wood no MDF or composite woods. The customer service advisor confirmed that our beds are not made with veneer but with real wood. Once again please accept our apologies for any confusion caused. “The bed was delivered a week or so after placing the order, we were kept updated on progress throughout.. The bed itself didn't feel like it was worth the price however, and where the slats should go wasn't marked either.”

The additional screws will be tucked into the protective packaging on the legs. “I was very excited about my bed coming but sadly the instructions to put the bed together were very lacking. After three hours of three adults trying to put the bed together we finally managed it, although, some places still don't look like they fit quite right.”

“Bed kit arrived promptly - good delivery tracking. Several pieces slightly dented but managed to hide the worst during construction. One bed end was missing two sets of pre drilled holes and no screws for the bed slats were provided. Finished article looks ok and seems fit for purpose but very disappointed and do not consider this purchase was good value for money - basically £500 for a pile of planks!”

“The bed is great quality but I've marked down because the instructions are terrible. My partner and I are competent at building furniture and have done it a lot recently but the instructions are far too minimalist and leave out key information like which piece of wood the image is referring to and which way round it goes. We also ordered a King Size and were sent a piece of wood that on the instructions is said is only needed for the Super King + so weren't sure whether to include it or not. Please, make your instructions more detailed and then this would be an excellent service.”

“---Delivery--- 2/5 I ordered the ottoman bed without white glove delivery to avoid an additional month for delivery in my area. I had to wait for the courier for 5 hours as per the slot given. The courier only delivered 1 package over 7 without explanations. Then an hour later 6 packages got delivered by another van. Very confusing --Assembly-- 2/5 Thankfully hobbyist woodworker otherwise I would have struggled. It took me and my partner 4 hours to assemble. The drawings are not exact or some are missing (piston assembly). I strongly recommend a mallet, a powered and manual screwdriver, a wrench, and a measuring tape. The piston assembly was the most painful without clear instructions. The inventory was difficult, none of the srcews counts matched. The assembly was so cumbersome that I will not have to disassemble this bed anytime soon. -- bed -- 3/5 Just about OK, the pine is soft, can be prone to scratches, I regret not going for harder wood. This is an expensive bed for a pine bed. The wooden frame is wobbly when lifted, it does not inspire solidiy. It is pleasing esthetically.”

“Bed seems ok so far but a few issues. Firstly I paid for assembly and the guy didn’t notice one of the slats had a large chunk missing, I felt like I should just sign off without a proper inspection. As for the bed itself they do not come without enough slats (eg the gaps range up to 4.5 inches in some places and most mattresses should only be max 3 inch gaps). They say you can buy extra slats but they should just send with 10 or 11 slats not 9 for a double. And given I paid for assembly it’s annoying enough having to “buy” an extra slat to only then have to remove and re drill them in! Given the damaged slat I was given an extra free but it doesn’t really cover the cost/hassle of redoing the slats to fit an extra one in. Will see how the bed lasts but the slat issue is so easy to fix and tainted the experience.”

“Excellent communication. Loved the option to add extras and to choose a finish. Excellent delivery as well and the bed itself looks great. The only major downside was that the bed was an absolute nightmare to build. Parts of it were made out of pine and those were super easy to assemble. However putting together the parts made of oak was nearly impossible. Personally I can't understand why having the installation included is not a must-have when you choose a hardwood finish.”

“Low Tokoyo Bed not very easy to put together. Instructions could be clearer. And trying to fit the wooden headboard slats together was impossible. Subsequently there are gaps albeit very small bit its not a perfect fit. Also 2 screw caps short. I don't think I would buy again. Sorry.”
