“Great communications,we really felt like we were part of the whole process and as well as little messages to let us know how far along they were, in making the Bed, Lewis helped us out and gave some great advice. The bed itself is of really good, high quality pine and beach, not the cheap resin filled stuff. All moving parts are well machined and work perfectly, there were no problems assembling the bed, it's sturdy, looks fantastic and we're really happy. Thanks to everyone who made it possible.”

“Very happy with my Spacesaver platform double bed (no headboard). Good quality materials and construction and brilliant that it's handmade in UK. Ordering process and delivery was excellent with good comms. Quite easy to assemble and good to see actual joints and screw fixings. The only issue I had was with the spacing of the slats - some written instructions to complement the visuals would help. Sturdy and comfortable to sleep on.”

“I purchased my bed in 2022 and three years on I honestly couldn’t be happier. It still looks as new as the day it was delivered, the frame is incredibly well made and finished. Quality products from a quality British business. Highly recommend!”

“The beds are really well made, solid and good quality I was really worried after spending nearly 1000£ on line but they are genuinely lovely beds and the workman then came to assemble them for me Said “ these are quality , best flat pack I’ve seen “”

“Bed looks nice and seems fine (haven’t really used it yet). Assembly was fine too. Problem was delivery, which was the biggest mess I have ever experienced, and just not acceptable in 2025. I can now see, from the 1 star reviews on Trustpilot, that this is not that unusual. You clearly have a massive issue with delivery, so why aren’t you fixing things?”

“We had done a lot of research for a reasonable priced dog bed for our giant puppy. I couldn’t believe our luck when we found Getlaidbeds. Great choice of colours. Well packed. Fab quality, will last us a long time. We added a washable mattress cover and a bone shaped name plaque, obviously. He cuddles up and sleeps so well. Guests have commented on it, as it is a lush bit of furniture itself. Will be OK to keep clean and looking fresh. We are very happy.”

“Great customer service prior to ordering led me to place an order and I have not regretted it. Delivery company were super accomodating , bed went together easily , not tested the mattress etc yet as its for the spare room in the loft , all ready for Christmas visitors”

“Bed is awful quality. Slats too far apart and have ruined the mattress and my back. The space saver bed the slats are not wide enough and five inches each side of mattress overhang, so when you sit on the edge of the bed you fall onto the floor as there is no support for the mattress. Slats were not adequately sanded down, and the wood was splintering. Trying to tuck the sheets and covers in, my hand was catching on the unsanded slats and the sheets were catching around them and ripping. No reponse from management on the latest shenanigans. Been referred back to the unhelpful customer service lot who have told me I need to pay £10 for an extra slat and I have to buy a power drill and do it myself eeven though I am disabled and have already paid £80 for assembly. So I have to dissemble the bed myself and add the extra slats. Just make it properly in the beginning with an extra slat. Unhelpful and rude, really not worth the money.”

“I was looking for a solid wood bed frame after having multiple cheap bed frames break. WOW the quality of this bed is incredible. I sleep better than I have in months, knowing my bed is extremely sturdy. It's also beautiful. Customer service is great. When I needed a screw for the back of the bed, I emailed and heard back within a day. They sent the screws needed quickly. An amazing purchasing experience and a beautiful, well made product!”

“I purchased two Country beds in a custom/hard to find size, Full (double) XL. They were one of the few companies that makes this size frame. Given that I had limited options, I was extremely pleased with the sizing, shipping and low shipping costs. The things I don't love about the beds are: because they only put one screw in each slat on each side, the slats rock a bit and are squeaky. This could be fixed by using two screws on each side of the slat. The screws to put in the main frame were EXTREMELY hard to get in, even with an electric drill. All things considered, I would still use this bed for custom sizes, but they are much harder than an IKEA bed to put together. I hope they can use the feedback for improvement.”

“The bed came in 3 boxes, easy to transport and carry up to my 3rd floor flat. Simple, comprehensive step by step instructions and easy to put together. You can really see and feel the love and craftsmanship in the wood and it looks absolutely fantastic. The floating bed style is wonderful for the size of my room, it’s a king size bed that doesn’t feel anywhere near as big because of the frame. 10/10 for me 😊”

“While selecting the Chelsea model it was unclear how the joints of the bed were secured. As I had been reviewing the item several times I began to receive advertsiement clips from youtube, clips which appear on screen while browsing. This helped me to understand the construction of the bed. I subsequently purchased a Chelasea bed along with 4 drawers for storage underneath. If the Get Laid website showed images of the screws with cup the washers in place I would have made my selection earlier. The construction was not difficult. The instructions were adequate. A minor point was the headboard drawing shown in the isntructions showed the three slats with mortice ends to be inserted into tenons on the bed post. The items recieved were fixed to the front of the bed post by screws from the rear. The drawers were simple to build and for an underbed darwer are quite substantial. Overall impression is the Chelsea Bed with storage drawers is well finished and I am pleased with the product.”
