“3 stars because the quality could be improved. One of the spars was damaged slightly, pre-delivery i think, I had to flour paper the surfaces, they had probably been finished in a dusty atmosphere, and clean out the mortises to make the tenons sit properly. Each of these suggest a lack of pre-shipment quality inspection. Overall the bed is as described and good construction quality. It would be helpful to provide simple wooden block spacers to fit the slats, I made my own at about 73mm. One tip, this is probably not the bed for frequent house movers, since it uses wood screws to make the joints, rather than set screws and toggles as others do. So the joints will slacken if screwed and unscrewed repeatedly. There was a problem with the deliverers not turning up as booked, but this was efficiently resolved, and the company voluntarily repaid my shipping costs, so good service there.”

“I wouldn't know, as it hasn't been delivered. FEDEX says it has, that it was signed for by someone. But it was never delivered, no one signed for it, and the proof of delivery image can't be downloaded (conveniently)”

“What fantastic service! There were a couple of issues with my bed on arrival, that I didn't realise until I started assembly. I called on the Monday morning and got through to the lovely Trisha, who listened to my mini rant and immediately offered a solution to the problems that essentially involved sending a few replacements parts which arrived by the next Saturday. There was no humming and hawing, no argument, just a very receptive and helpful attitude to resolving the issues. It is so rare to find this, once people have your money that is usually that. Massive thanks to Trisha for your help! I should add that the bed itself is great, very solid and a relatively easy build if you have some help (I would recommend a rubber mallet and a spare block of wood to aid some stages). I'm really pleased with the end result, and so glad to do business with and help support a UK manufacturer.”

“Great communications,we really felt like we were part of the whole process and as well as little messages to let us know how far along they were, in making the Bed, Lewis helped us out and gave some great advice. The bed itself is of really good, high quality pine and beach, not the cheap resin filled stuff. All moving parts are well machined and work perfectly, there were no problems assembling the bed, it's sturdy, looks fantastic and we're really happy. Thanks to everyone who made it possible.”

“Very happy with my Spacesaver platform double bed (no headboard). Good quality materials and construction and brilliant that it's handmade in UK. Ordering process and delivery was excellent with good comms. Quite easy to assemble and good to see actual joints and screw fixings. The only issue I had was with the spacing of the slats - some written instructions to complement the visuals would help. Sturdy and comfortable to sleep on.”

“I purchased my bed in 2022 and three years on I honestly couldn’t be happier. It still looks as new as the day it was delivered, the frame is incredibly well made and finished. Quality products from a quality British business. Highly recommend!”

“The beds are really well made, solid and good quality I was really worried after spending nearly 1000£ on line but they are genuinely lovely beds and the workman then came to assemble them for me Said “ these are quality , best flat pack I’ve seen “”

“Bed looks nice and seems fine (haven’t really used it yet). Assembly was fine too. Problem was delivery, which was the biggest mess I have ever experienced, and just not acceptable in 2025. I can now see, from the 1 star reviews on Trustpilot, that this is not that unusual. You clearly have a massive issue with delivery, so why aren’t you fixing things?”

“We had done a lot of research for a reasonable priced dog bed for our giant puppy. I couldn’t believe our luck when we found Getlaidbeds. Great choice of colours. Well packed. Fab quality, will last us a long time. We added a washable mattress cover and a bone shaped name plaque, obviously. He cuddles up and sleeps so well. Guests have commented on it, as it is a lush bit of furniture itself. Will be OK to keep clean and looking fresh. We are very happy.”
