“Bought a 4ft platform bed for my daughter. Very impressed at the build quality for the price. Went together easily and quickly. The only issue was the wooden slats which were provided as a separates. Initially there didn’t seem enough, so had to work out the spacing in between each one in order for maximum coverage and no sagging mattress. For a novice DIYer this was quite a challenge. Anyway really happy with the bed. Sturdy and I would recommend.”

“Some visible imperfections in the stain. A few bits are hard to wrangle in construction. But looks quite good. Delivered on time. Quite confusing instructions, lacking detail. Felt floor protectors not supplied”

“The bed itself is fine - but the instructions for putting it together are hopeless. I'm used to the quality of IKEA instructions, with very clear illustrations - if a piece has pre-drilled holes in it, for example, they are pictured. The instructions with respect to the gas filled struts and lifting hinge are particularly dire, with the drawing bearing no relation at all to the pieces of ironmongery! My son in law put it together because he does skilled jobs like fitting new suspension on his van but it does need more skills than simply following a step-by-step instruction (in the IKEA style). My son in law is very busy and I'd prefer not to have had to ask him - but although Get Laid Beds advertise a "deliver to room and assemble" option, which I wanted to choose, it's not a bit clear from the website, where this option is mentioned, that it's only available in a few parts of the country. Having failed to find it on the check out I had to telephone to find out - a waste of my time and yours! I'd suggest that GLB employ a good graphic artist and somebody who can write technical stuff, and save us a lot of frustration! I didn't phone up about the assembly problems as I had somebody to turn to. My mark for customer service includes the good quality of the telephone answer I had (though it was not the answer I wanted, it was prompt and clear) and the awful quality of the written instructions.”

“Unfortuantly the bed wasn't delivered on the scheduled date, and when contacting customer services I was very disappointed with theire reply and they took no responsibility for it. Very happy with the bed, very straight forward to assemble, and it looks amazing”

“Having downsized to a dormer bungalow we didn't think it would be possible to have a king size bed so we were delighted to come across the space saver options on your website. Communication with the company was excellent. Two of the boxes were damaged but the wood wasn't affected. The instructions for assembling the bed were straight forward and it's not fallen apart yet! 😁”

“Wanted a lower bed frame and found exactly what we wanted on their website. The ordering process was very easy, and we had regular updates on the progress of the order. Delivery was exactly as forecast. The bed itself is made from very solid components and was very easy to assemble. We are very pleased with our purchase”

“Absolutely fantastic bed, great value for money. Delivery was efficient, with a very friendly team, who took the parts to exactly where we needed. The bed was easy to assemble with two people, with clear instructions, and the cutest little branded bags to keep the screws and other small parts in! Highly highly recommend!!”

“We ordered the Oxford bed in the natural pine so that we could paint it in the colour we wanted ( Farrow & Ball -Hague Blue). The bed came flat packed and was very easy for us to put together…..and it came out beautifully with the paint. Very good quality bed and very sturdy….would highly recommend.”

“The quality of materials is pretty decent, but the instructions provided with the bed could have been a lot better. They're printed out on A4 paper with grainy black and white images and look like they've come out of a cheap printer. If you're spending £1,000+ you'd expect this to be a bit better. It did make the overall experience of putting it together a bit frustrating.”

“Overall great service & happy with my bed. The bed was ordered easily and arrived on time & on the date I wanted. We assembled it easily. It looks good! Reasonable price I would say too. We have ordered an extra slat so that the mattress is better supported (the gap is a bit more than the mattress company recommend) so that is arriving soon. Overall I would buy from GLB again!”
