Extremely Disappointed – Appalling Customer Service I was supposed to receive my bed from Get Laid Beds on Wednesday, 23rd April. I received an “Order Update” email confirming it was due for delivery that day via a company called Furdeco. I even took unpaid time off work to be at home for the delivery. On the day, I never received the promised two-hour delivery window. I contacted Furdeco directly, only to be told the delivery wouldn’t be happening because they didn’t have the full order. This was news to me—and clearly to Get Laid Beds as well, who were clueless when I got in touch. The response I got from Get Laid Beds was disappointing at best—no real apology, no explanation, and no urgency. They said they would “investigate” and get back to me. That was a week ago. I’ve since heard nothing. At this point, I’ve been left with no bed, no update, and no compensation for the time and money I lost. Looks like my only option now is to request a refund. Would absolutely not recommend. Customer service like this is unacceptable.

Hello Josh, I apologise for the issues you have had with both us and our courier. I can see that your order has been returned and refunded in full. We have done investigations here into how both our staff/couriers handled this and other situations which happened at that time. Delivery excellent the delivery man very polite & professional The boxes were well labelled as were the instructions Very pleased with the look of the bed & excellent wood used so well made. All the parts fitted very well My husband and I slept very well and pleasedwith the comfort Excellent experience from ordering payment & would recommend their workmanship & quality

Our bed and mattress are exactly what we wanted, and our first night's sleep was excellent. We weren't sure oru mattress choice of 'firm' was the right one for us, but it must have been as we slept so well. It was easy to assemble and solidly designed and built. The only gripe was a disconnection between Get Laid and Furdeco, the delivery company. Get Laid had confirmed our requested delivery date and passed the job to Furdeco who acknowledged receipt of the goods well before the due delivery date. I drove 2 hours to the delivery address on the due date and waited, deterred from calling Furdeco by being number 25 in their queue. Around lunchtime, when I had to brave the call queue, I finally learnt that our delivery had not been scheduled at all. I couldn't have known that. So it was then re-scheduled for a week later. Interestingly, all the labels on the goods clearly showed the earlier delivery date. There's a system 'hole' here from the customer's viewpoint.

The bed frame and mattress are excellent quality — very happy with both. Delivery was smooth, but the date changed without proper notice, so I had to take an extra day off. Better communication would improve the experience. Overall, great product.

The bed was incredible difficult to assemble with missing screws that we had to purchase ourselves to complete the bed. The images on the instructions are so bad and the written instructions very vague and hard to understand. For the price we paid for it I was very disappointed and would not recommend.

Quick delivery and good communication. Bed seems to be high quality and looks great (although colour a bit different to what I had expected). Assembling it myself was quite a challenge as the instructions are not particularly clear and some of the pre-drilled holes were not well aligned. Would strongly suggest paying extra for the assembly service (unfortunately not available where I live).

Excellent quality bed. Lots of screws (taking it apart in the future is probably going to be a nightmare), but super solid and comfortable. Thoroughly recommended!

A bit of a let-down unfortunately - from delivery to set-up to material quality. Delivery - despite booking a specific day, we got the delivery a few days early, which I guess was nice but I don't know what would have happened if we'd been away for the weekend (trusting the delivery would come when we booked it for); but then well after the time slot they'd given us. The guys who delivered were rude, no apology for being over an hour late, and when I pointed out one of the boxes was badly damaged - the whole top had ripped off - he responded "how should I know" and left. Construction - an absolute nightmare, took us two full, frustrating days. Other reviews have said the same and we should have listened - instructions were bare bones, leading to us using the wrong screws in one place and having to go out to try find new ones; and pilot holes were in completely the wrong place making parts, especially the headboard, super tricky to line up. Product - it is a beautiful bed but just feels like corners were cut in ways we wouldn't have expected for such an expensive object, like a silver screw and unfinished board being visible at the end of the bed (no, this isn't one of the parts we got wrong, it's just like that); and the back of the headboard being sharp metal that's damaged our walls (technically there are felt protectors, but these are tiny and just 'balanced' on the edge of the metal so quickly slip to the side). Also very creaky, which I'm sure is due to the warped wood we received, but hopefully will mellow over time. Design - the design is great, we love the integrated drawers and bedside tables; it's just a shame the execution isn't quite there for the price.

Expected much better quality for the money. Effectively what was delivered was a collection stained and sanded wood that I could have saved a fortune on if I’d bought from a local timber yard. I consider myself quite handy - have built numerous beds over the years - most much larger than this. The instructions are confusing - some parts are generic and not relevant to the bed type I purchased. The screw sizes are all wrong. Many for the frame were too long and simply wouldn’t drill in more than halfway. Conversely the screws for the slats felt too short - being barely longer than the slats themselves- but I didn’t mix up the screws and it didn’t work to simply swap them over either. I wound up having to resort to a selection from my toolbox. I would say don’t buy from here unless you are a carpenter (in which case you could probably cut out the middle man and go direct to a timber yard) or are willing to fork out the eye-watering additional £89 for assembly.

Customer service are fantastic. Beds are lovely and solid. But… I have ordered three beds from GLB. The first was a king size ottoman bed (and a small dog bed which is actually huge). Arrived as arranged, built easily, looks good. After a few days (I can’t remember exactly) one side of the bed split. Two of the interior legs were shorter than the other two (incorrect parts) which had put stress on the piston and one had shattered off at one side and split the wood. Customer service were great and arranged for replacement parts. This would not have happened if we had received the correct parts originally. The bed still squeaks really badly, customer service advised to oil the gas lifts, this helps for a few days only. We ordered a day bed from GLB for my son. While on holiday we had his room stripped and new carpet fitted. We returned home early in the morning with a plan to assemble his wardrobe and bed ready for that evening as a surprise. We assembled the wardrobes then started on the bed. We couldn’t assemble the bed as the screw cup washers were missing. My son is chronically unwell (awaiting transplant surgery) so sleeping on the floor was not an option! I contacted customer service who were lovely and offered to either send out the missing parts or reimburse me to purchase my own. Fortunately I had a couple of spare cups from the previous bed so knew the size needed. Not ideal after a long day of travel and building wardrobes but we went to B&Q and purchased the parts that were missing. The bed is lovely. The team at GLB are so lovely that the previous problems didn’t deter us from ordering another. I ordered a bed for my son, two weeks before my chosen delivery date. I chose the date specifically for several reasons - mostly because we had plans during the Easter holidays, but I wanted my son settled in his new bed before starting his GCSE exams next week. I booked delivery for 19th April. On 17th April I received notification from the delivery company that the bed would be delivered on 18th (Good Friday). We had lunch reservations at noon as a party of 12 so we couldn’t change our plans. Fortunately the bed arrived early so our plans were not interrupted. However, the box with the main bed parts was missing! I appreciate that it was a bank holiday weekend and GLB was mostly closed (customer services were lovely) but I am still waiting for an update about when I can expect the missing parcel. I was asked to open the parcels we did receive and photograph the contents laid out. This is hugely inconvenient but we did as requested, no response.

We have been sleeping on our new bed for a week and couldn't be happier. The frame is very sturdy and we love the natural details in the wooden headboard. After a slight hiccup with the delivery date, all of our interactions with customer service have been extremely prompt, helpful and professional. A replacement slat came very promptly in place of one that we identified as having a chip in it. Thank you to the whole team!

I am still evaluating the bed itself but I would like to share initial feedback about the assembly process. To describe the instructions provided as throughly useless and inadequate to meet the requirements of self assembly would be a understatement. It is as if you guys would like the buyer to screw up the assembly so you can probably deny warranty. To be specific. 1. Missing key steps in the assembly process. 2. Assembly instructions provided on multiple sheets not attached to each other leading to additional confusion. 3. No videos, photos even on the website explaining the process in detail. 4. Inconsistent markings and naming conventions on items leading to further confusion. How hard is it get this right? The entire experience was ruined due to you guys saving couple of bucks on providing clear instructions. Very disappointed and a bad start to a significant expensive investment in a bed.
