Don't ever use this Company I would like to advise everyone who is planning to go visit the La Maddalena Arquipelago
With this company should be very careful… in August this year 2024 I went with my family in Sardinia,
we flew from Ireland, before our visit in Sardinia we book a tour with then.
the booking was made by GET YOUR GUIDE few months earlier.
once in Sardinia we notice was a terrible weather, honestly a huge storm hit the balearic island In Spain and destroyed Mayorca. Our tour was booked for 15 of August departing from Palau.
on the 14 me and my family (wife and kids the youngest is 4) we decide to call the company because the weather was really scary, we receive few alerts in our phones about the storm was on the way to hit the area of La Maddalena, we check on line and we discover the Italian Government was announcing not board in boats because of the storm.
I call straight away the company in question in London, after explain everything to then, send pictures and prints from our phones they decide to GIVE us a opportunity to board on 17 of August, basically 2 days after the storm.
on 17 of august we was driving to Palau to get on board when we get caught in the middle of hoge thunderstorm and hailstorm, we go stuck in the middle of a motorway and then under a bridge.
after 45 minutes we successfully got lucky to get back to our hotel.
once in there I called the company and explain what happened.
everybody was in shock and the kids was sad because we lost our tour. 
I request for refund as we never get the chance to reach Palau, because all area was under the ice and water, we sow in all news on the Italian TV. 
this company refused to give us back our money as we never got in the boat.
they are covering they self behind some polices they say its not possible to refund anybody.
so if you or your family is in trouble doesn’t matter
if you gonna die in the boat doesn’t matter
if oyur kids are stressed and disappointed they don’t care
IN THE SAME WEEK O BOAT SINK IN ITALY, not to much far away 
few people are dead now and should I risk my family life ???

The worst tour company - do not use. We never got to see Mt Fuiji on our family dream trip to Japan because of Get your Guide.

Unfortunately my credit card details were stolen and used to book some travel on getyourguide. I accept that this is not their responsibility, however when I alerted them there was still a transaction in purchase authorisation status, but due to the very slow responses (handled by 3 different individuals) they did not react in time to cancel the transaction. Just really disappointed in their lack of proactivity !

Air Canada delayed my flight by 4 hours so I was late and missed my connecting flight in Washington, to go to Rome. I had pre-booked and for an airport transport from to my hotel. Because my flight was delayed I arrived the day after the original booking date. Both the activity provider and Getyour Guide refused to adjust the booking for the day after, even though this was beyond my control. They said I had to give 24 hours notice. I guess you have to be magic and telepathic when travelling to know to inform GYG that your flight is delayed. I dont know anyone that can do that. Because of this, I had to pay out of pocket to travel to my destination. The kicker is that GYG charges me $146.99 for the transport, but the airport taxi is a flat rate of $55 Euros to the center of Rome. Even with the conversion it is overpriced. I will never book anything in future with GYG. Be smart and use their competitors. They couldn't even get their own activity provider to answer emails, chats or pick up the phone! Camille

Total fraud. We booked tickets for boat tour at Istanbul and their directions led us to a different deck. We missed the boat and there was no refund. Either the Turks are fraud ar they are. In both cases THEY KNOW IT!

On August 21, we were supposed to go on a cruise excursion in Istanbul Turkey and I booked it through GetYourGuide website. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had couldn’t attend the cruise. I tried to get a refund, and they will refuse to even consider it even though it is due to an illness. The customer service was lacking, and they were not being accommodating. It was my first time using their services and this will be my last time I lost out on the money and is very unsatisfied with the services.

I do not recommend using this sight at all. Definitely not helpful when you accidentally book the wrong city. Definitely will never use this app again

Booked a tour of Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. when we turned up the theatre guide said the ticket was not valid & I had to pay for new 2 tickets directly at the theatre ticket office. They cost less than half the price Get your guide had charged me. When I contacted them they said as my tickets hadnt been scanned they could not refund me. I screen shot the tickets & tod them them that hadnt been scanned as were apparently not valid & also sent them a photo of the actual tickets I had to buy for the same tour & never heard back from them. They are a complete scam & manage to get themselves to come up first when you search for a tour you want rather than being able to find the actual operator. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I booked a 1-day tour from Bucharest to medieval Bulgaria and everything went wrong. First after receiving the confirmation of the booking, after a few hours I received another message saying the tour was full and postponed for 2 days later!!! We cannot trust when they claim to give real time confirmation on availability. Then the tour itself was a nightmare- for a tour of 12 h we spent more than 9 h inside a mini-van!!! The tour guide (Carmen) was a fraude (in this tour). She provided almost no information. When we arrived to two of the planned sites, she only mentioned a few basic facts and left us on our own! In total maybe she spoke for 10-15 min (out of the 12 h). The driving was very dangerous (e.g. 60-80 Km/h inside villages where the speed limit was 30-40, or more than 150 on the roads while the driver was chatting on the phone). The worst tour ever.

Worst support and there system, we have been into the tour industry for 3 decades, we planned to use their partner program to build our online presence but they reject us without any reason. We try to reach them many time but there is no option to reach them other than email and on email they never reply and if reply they reply same thing and it is automated without any solid reason.

If I could give zero stars I would. This company is a scam !!! Do not purchase any tickets for museums in Italy or virtually anywhere. They are marked up 75%. They are a very unethical company. Should you have your phone stolen or have any difficulty with data connection at the activity site and be unable to retrieve tickets sent only 6 hours before your activity they will NOT refund your tickets. Very few things require advanced purchase. They charged us $87 dollars to get into the Rome colosseum when admittance was only $18. No one speaks English or likely any other language but an Indian dialect. Total horrible experience. In most cases, just purchase your tickets once you get to your desired location. Do NOT buy from Get Your Guide.

Book an excursions in the am for a 3 pm activity. Once details arrived the meeting point was too far. They did not let me cancel. Past my 24 hour window. I never had that window! Customer service was rude. Scam. Do not buy from them. They do not share critical details until after you buy

Terrible company to deal with, was late for a tour through no fault of our own. Missed the time slot because of this, messaged them to advise prior. No refunds and out of pocket by a substantial amount. There customer service is shocking, would advise to not use.

We brought a ticket and were not informed we had to exchange for voucher. Our ticket did not give us the name of the office to exchange voucher, we walked around for 1 hour trying to find the office to exchange Then had to Forego ticket as we were late Very confusing and NOT informative Would not recommend this company! We lost $227 aud

I tried to book a tour at the last minute by using my cell phone. When I got to GYG payment page, there was no gift card option to click. Then I chatted with an GYG agent/Pearl on the same website. She didn’t give me any suggestion, just connected me with JustAnswer. Per JustAnswer: click GYG Contact Us, add the booking reference and fill out the form, to request using my gift card for this order. In order to get a booking reference, I had to book the tour without using my gift card, with the understanding that I could get my charged deducted by GYG honoring the gift card per JustAnswer’s suggestion. Then I talked with a GYG agent Romel. He said by using a cell phone for order, I would get limited detail on GYG website compare to using a PC. There was no gift card option on the payment section like on PC. Cell phone user had to go to the order summary. Under the activity (tour), there’s a small scroll down arrow. If I had clicked it, the gift card option would popped up. Why GYG didn’t show the gift card option on the payment page along with other credit cards? Why Pearl didn’t tell me about this when I asked for help? There were at least 10 emails from GYG. I spent hours working with different agents during my vacation. When I asked why per Pearl’s chat that JustAnswer’s $5 was refundable? One GYG email replied: you would be refunded a membership charge of $30. I didn’t even ask for a JustAnswer membership! After providing all the screenshots from the chats, GYG agents gave me all kinds of excuse. One email said that GYG was not connected to or authorized to use JustAnswer, contrary to the prior email telling me about $30 refundable membership; denied the chat agent was even a GYG employee, “in order to protect the activity provider and other customers, we couldn’t honor your gift card”….it was appalling! How honoring my gift card would harm the activity provider and other customers? I spent hours talking to & emailing GYG. Their emails were mostly with the same “copy and paste” answers, and other but ridiculous reason why they wouldn’t honor my gift card. GYG repeatedly said that I could use the gift card in the future. This was my first order which ended up a mess, why should I book thru GYG again? GYG’s cell phone website for gift card was not transparent (they just want to sell gift cards but don’t want customers to use?); Customer Care was incompetent, misleading, dishonest and uncooperative. You may have good experience working with GYG, like my son did. If you have a problem, don’t expect GYG will own up to their mistake and do the right thing for customers. Wish I give GYG a zero star!
