Loadup took three attempts over four days to pick up my mattress. I spent 5 hours waiting the first time, 5 hours the second time and an hour the third time. Nothing but lame excuses each time! They'll probably find a way to delete my post but it is exactly the truth, no exaggeration. The manufacture was upset with them also. I think if they can find an alternative solution, they will.

This may be a bit long. First of all, the good stuff: This company has a lot of great reviews, which is why I chose them. I like their philosophy that they try to upcycle what they pick up instead of it all going into a landfill. They arrived on time, and loader was courteous, and the second customer service person was very attentive to my complaint and did the best she could. Here is what I didn't like: I had put in an order to have a futon mattress and futon frame picked up, and noted that the futon frame was bulky. When we bought the futon 30 years ago, it was delivered to our apt in one piece. Later, when we bought a home, the movers moved it from our apt and delivered it up two flights in our new home in one piece. When LoadUp arrived, the driver said the futon frame it was too bulky to take out in one piece, and he could only take the mattress. Furthermore, he said the company never told him the item was bulky, and he didn't have room in his truck, since he still had three more loads to pick up that afternoon for other people. Even if we could disassemble it while he took out the mattress (with his helper, which was his wife, who looked strong, but she was short, and yeah, it was too bulky for her). He told me I would have to call the company to reschedule. I contacted customer service, they asked me to send a picture of the item, which I did, and I never heard back again. I had to contact them a second time before I got any real service from another customer service rep. When I finally made contact with the second service rep, she said I would have to pay an additional fee for the driver to come back, to compensate him. Now I get it; gas is expensive, and they can't make two trips to pick up every load. But to me, as a customer, it felt like a bait-and-switch scam. They don't leave enough room in the truck to pick up a bulky item (which they had been informed of from the beginning) and now I have to compensate extra them for the mistake? If the driver had just said this is too big for me and my wife to carry out, you have to disassemble it first, I would have gotten it. It does say that somewhere in the fine print, even though it had been successfully moved twice without disassembly, so I wasn't expecting it. But to say I had to reschedule because he had no room in the truck for all his orders that day, and then charge me for it? I said no thank you. Please remove my charge for picking up the second item, and I will figure out how to get rid of it on my own. They knocked off $50. I paid $214 originally for them to pick up two items, they did half the job, but I got reimbursed less than 1/4 of that. I accepted that because at that point I wanted nothing more to do with the company. I told them I wasn't happy, but if they couldn't provide me with free return pickup, I would cut my losses, learn from my mistakes, and post balanced but not stellar reviews all over the internet. This is me doing that. Like I said, their overwhelming positive reviews says they have lots of happy customers. Unfortunately, I am not one of them.

The Loaders are very professional and very quick!! They got everything out in less than 20 minutes. They were also extremely courteous. Couldn't ask for a better team!!

Travis & Chris were very professional and quick. No worries about property damage: The bedframe being removed was kind of cumbersome, but they were very careful. Very communicative and clear about when they were going to arrive, etc. A great first impression of LoadUp. Would definitely use the service again.

I needed an old and broken recliner removed from my home. I found LoadUp online and filled out the removal request. I felt very comfortable with this company. Their website was easy to use, and they were rated 118 out of 500 companies. They required payment up front which I pondered for a few minutes before I paid the removal fee. They set up removal on Monday the 10th of Oct between 0800 and 12:00. On Monday, they e-mailed me the drivers name and cell phone number and let me know when he would be at my house. They were very courteous. The recliner was removed by 11:30 as promised. From my experience, I can highly recommend this company and I would use them again if I needed their services.

Actual pickup was fine- nice couple. However getting to this point was chaotic. Originally scheduled for Monday, then Monday was bumped to Friday. On Friday, after waiting most of the day, I was told nobody available so they would leave a measure for next rep that I was a priority for Saturday. Saturday was told not able to pick up mattress so how about Monday. Then was told Sunday. Wow.

Missed 4 hour window-Missed second time scheduled-missed pickup the next day. I'm sure they will refund and blame a contracted driver but it's on them for hiring out unreliable services. Go elsewhere Go local

Nick was a very nice young man who, along with a partner, loaded the mattress right up and left with no issues. However he was scheduled for between 8-10 then I got a notice it was from 8-13, then I got a notice from 11-12. Then he called an hour out and said it would be 11:20. My whole morning was shot waiting on their arrival. We also had difficulty scheduling the pick up and assembly of mattress and the arrival of the mattress. We received the mattress 10 days ago and just now had pick up. That was frustrating. I do not blame Nick for this. We paid to have pick up and set up of the new mattress but we found two guys to set up the mattress for us. I think Big Fig and Load Up need to better coordinate their delivery system.

Originally, delivery scheduled for a 12 hour window. On day of service, expected a more targeted window. Instead, received a single morning text and then heard nothing at all from the company. At 6 pm I attempted to cancel by the provided chat link. Over 30 minutes, the company provided only a single response. Was notified 3 minutes before the end of the 12 hour window that the driver was on the way and then got a call from the driver 15 minutes later. No excuse for this kind of unprofessional lack of communication. Never again.
