“I visited to the colchester branch last week ahead of my expedition to kilimanjaro. i was served by Andrew at locaton code 1366 who was very knowledgable on climbing . He was so professional and helpful i insisted on his name so i could write a review.If you visit the colchester store ask for Andrew !”

“Called into Warrington on 5th January. Bought a bike for our grandson. The location code was 1359, and the man that served us was Matt. We would like to say that he was so helpful and gave us brilliant advice. Would recommend this store to anyone.”

“Ian at the portrack branch Teesside is such a STAR!!! There has been many a time in all honest I haven’t found the customer service here very good. “Theresa at Gooutdoors in Hanley today was expert. She was obviously extremely knowledgeable about the walking shoes that I needed. She described their features very quickly and professionally. She had lots of self and humour without being gushing or over selling and desperate. I had immediate confidence in her salesmanship and expertise and I will be coming to her again for advice about all sorts of stuff that I need from Gooutdoors . Just brilliant. Hope she has some advice about tents 😂😂”

“Completely unethical selling online. There was nothing about a discount card price online that I could see and definitely not on the confirmation email with the price clearly £12. Drove half an hour to collect the item, but at till discovered it's £20, even though at home again I see it's actually £18 with discount card online. First time I've used this shop and very disappointed with this clear con. Only reason it gets two stars is because, after asking how I complain, I was given a free discount card by the assistant manager and allowed me to buy for £12. Without doubt, this is a deliberate con and probably designed to get and sell personal details. This had better be a genuine product!”

“Do not go by the ticket price as when you get to the till it increases unless you buy a discount card for £5 If it wasn't such a pain to get back to Taunton I would take it back”

“visited the Gloucester store with my wife who wanted a new pair of walking boots.She has narrow feet and struggles to find boots that fit comfortably.Your staff member Alice B could not have been more helpful.She was very patient,helpful and above all knowledgeable. After trying on many boots we found the ideal fit and size in a Scarpa.Prior to our visit we intended to find the right boot but then shop online for the best price.In the end Alice proved so helpful that we bought from her and cannot commend her service highly enough.With staff like that the high street has hope.”

“I shopped at Sunderland. I met an amazing assistant called Lou. She was most helpful while I tried to decide and compare waterproof jackets. Then she came and helped me choose walking boots. having found several pairs of my size. Later found her and she got the correct size of fleece from the storage room. She was wonderful. I would like to draw your attention to her. she needs praise indeed. I was such a lovely shopping experience. my customer number was6333277 I was in the tore on 1st December a 15.21pm”

“Oex x-lite carbon walking poles. Bought a set (2) walking poles and unfortunately I lost one of the clamp nuts. When I tried to obtain a spare this could not be provided unless there was one ‘ laying around’. Wouldn’t it have been nice if someone had used there initiative and sent me one! No spares service as with other suppliers. Now I have one pole I cannot use. Great poles rubbish customer service”

“I bought a winter coat about a month ago from the Swindon outlet. Today the zipper broke. One of the teeth simply came off leaving me trapped in my own coat until finally I managed to pull the zipper down enough for me to step out of it. Go Outdoors is a waste of time and money. Don't bother with this. The quality is poor and in all honesty I regretted buying this coat from the moment I stepped out of the store. I was right. I should have left it where it was and go shopping somewhere else. It was my first purchase from Go Outdoors and it certainly going to be my last one. Disappointing.”
