I contacted GF at 7.45 pm and have been left in the dark on an unlit road with no battery . Told to wait til 8.30pm which soon became 12.30 at night . Green Flag should be called Red Flag . Will be pursuing a refund . They cannot deliver what has been purchased .

My recovery with green flag was literally was a comedy of errors , arrived late , wasn’t sure how to pop the bonnet , wasn’t sure were the battery terminal was to apply his battery booster pack ! Once he found them , he got me to try to start the car , unfortunately his battery pack was nt charged enough , so I suggested he go plug it in at my place of work , he said he had nt brought the charge lead with him , I honestly couldn’t believe what I was hearing , So I’m suggesting may be jump leads ? He doesn't carry them !!!! So in the end he left me to call my husband , who purchased some jump leads & got me up & running , honestly it was a complete joke , I’m going to cancel with green flag

Had breakdown on motorway today. Agent was impolite over the phone, kept asking me to repeat the same information I provided. I ended up crying and feeling miserable, begging for help. I had to walk and read the number of the junction. I never had this sort of experience in my whole life.. It was a very bad adventure, a very horrible one. Agent did not care about my safety and the noise level of the vehicles on the motorway. Very ineffective, dealt with my case after 1 and 1/2 hour. How lucky I was to come home safe!

Useless. Will return to AA. Took 8 hours to have someone come and return us home. Broke down on M5 on way to our holiday. Not concerned that we are nearing 80. My husband has cancer and heart issues too. Left waiting in the dark as we’d limped off the motorway.

Just so everyone is clear, if you hit a bird on the motorway Green Flag will just leave you on the side of the road with zero help. They will inform you they are putting a note on your account and not even direct you to someone who can help. Even if you pay for their subscription service. Now that I know this I hope to make everyone else aware of it.

Shocking, complete waste of money. We have been paying £100/Yr for several years to cover us if we breakdown. The last time we called out Greenflag was 8yrs ago. The service was good. How things have changed! This time we called the number to be told repeatedly the wait would be over 15minutes and it would be much quicker if we used the app. After 30 minutes the call was cut off. So we spent 15 minutes installing the app and registering and filling in the details of our rescue call out. Only to be asked to call them on the original number to request a rescue. The app was a complete waste of time. We then called again to be told the wait was now 30minutes.! We requested a callback. After half an hour we spoke to someone who had no record of our breakdown from the app so we had to go through the whole process of giving all the details again. He then told us if we wanted recovery we would need to pay a further £40. We are on the same policy as our previous call out where we had to pay nothing extra, this is something grenflag have added without our knowledge. We then were sent to a secure payment system, we put in our card details and were then told that the payment did not work, we then tried another card to get the same response! Without payment greenflag would not come out so we were left stranded and had to find another way of being recovered. This company are crooks! They have had 100s of pounds of our money and when we needed them they left us stranded!!

I was told it would be an hour and would get an ETA 10 min before..I didn’t..I phoned back 3 more times..Mechanic arrived 3 and a half hours later with no ETA phone call. Mechanic recharged battery..Sat in the car o show it working..showed me a print out..it needed a new battery..Gave me the keys( it was dark) The next day my neighbour informed me the drivers window was wide open..He had left it open and weather conditions were stormy and extreme rain..Drivers seat and passengers seat is now totally saturated and the car is starting to smell..I am devastated..I’m a pensioner..as I had to get to a medical appointment, I’ve had to sit on plastic sheeting..I would put no stars if I could..I need compensation to get the car dried out and cleaned of the awful smell

I don’t usually comment, but I felt it was necessary this time. This company scammed me out of my investment and then vanished. Fortunately, I got my full refund thanks to AMDARK LIMITED ** COM. If you’ve been affected, I recommend reaching out to them for assistance.

I was charged £150 because my car was older than 16 years and left in a vulnerable position to then a day or so later call and have the amended policy cover the same car for an extra £0 which I believe is beyond. Joke and I will be contacting and tweeting about this further if not resolved as it is beyond a joke !

3:30pm Engine failed/cut out on the motorway. Waited 2 hours for recovery. 5:30pm Was taken 20 miles and dropped at Services. 7:15pm still waiting to here back from Green Flag about how/ when my car and I will be recovered. There is no plan in place after 3 hours 45 minutes. Cannot in anyway recommend. Terrible communication. And non existent recovery at present.

Avoid this company. Every year they push up this prices and when you look on line at green flag for the same service it is many many pounds much cheaper then when you speak to them they say it is not green flag putting the prices up but the insurers . Then when you tell them that you want to cancel them and delete your card details they say that you have to do it your self on line.. they take your card details to start with so why cant they delete your details . Most unhelpful

Car would’nt start mechanic checked the battery said it was the starter motor . Asked for help from his co worker nobody available so asked if I could ask my neighbours to give a push ! A neighbour was coming out of their house, who gave the car a push it started. I took the vehicle to a garage who said it was the battery!!! Not very professional

Broke down recently at 2.45 pm on a very cold day and phoned for assistance. Told them was urgent has I'm a lone female and had 2 kids in my car. After nearly an hour and no sign of the recovery van I sent my two kids home in a taxi. A friend also came out to look after me whilst I waited. The mechanic finally showed up around 6.15pm and then advised that the car needed to be recovered but he was unable to do this his vehicle was the wrong type. My friend gave me a lift home. My car was finally delivered to my house at 2am the next morning. We WILL NOT be renewing.

First call handler got the location wrong. Second call handler, an hour later got the location immediately from the Sam coordinates. Three hours later a truck arrived an announced "I can't look at it, it's not my usual truck and I don't have a touch". Couldn't recover us to our home despite paying for Recovery Plus. Said he would take us to the services to wait for a hire car. Hire company said GF wouldn't pay to get the car to the services. Had to go to their office. Rang GF to sort things out and was told the they had done everything the could and I was free to make alternative arrangements if I liked! Car is still stuck in a yard in Swansea and they can't say when it will be returned "might be 3 to 5 days" is the latest. "We don't have the resources". Keep being put through to 'support' which goes to an answer phone saying they can't take my call. Absolute shambles.
