Green Flag hang your head in shame for your appalling service!! As I arrived at Meadowhall steam started coming from my engine and a red warning light came on. As my car couldnt be driven I rang Green Flag to have my car towed at 4 30pm. My partner and I were told to have a coffee and they would collect it in two hours. After that we kept receiving messages every hour advising us they would be with us in an hour. Had to remove the car at 10.00pm as the car park would be closed and we would receive a fine. This was risky in view of the fault. Parked it at a bus stop outside the car park. We waited and waited until 11.00pm when my partner got a taxi home while I remained waiting. After many more messages a pickup arrived at about 12.30!! What kind of service is this? The first tow truck never came from Richford Motor and the one that collected me said he had only received the call six minutes before. It appears Green Flag enploy companies that are not fit for purpose! A reply from Green Flag would be appreciated!

Broke down and they couldn’t send anyone out. Most useless recovery company ever. Don’t use!

Husband broke down on way home from work rang Green flag at 20.36 was told someone would be out at 21.30 but no show. 22.25 someone shown up said something about fuel pressure couldn't sort problem so rang for recovery van (broke down just off roundabout on main busy road) still took them till midnight to pick him up. Absolutely disgusting service won't be recommending green flag to anyone.

Reported incident 12.15. ETA 13.30 then received a call saying between 2pm and 3pm. Then update was 3.30pm. I was not in an area easily accessible to transport for my medical appointment at 3.30 which would have meant a return taxi fare of approximately £80. Very POOR. I will definitely be seeking a better recovery service as this solution was unworkable for me. Customer service said they would try to get my callout prioritised but I did not receive an update. I did get my car going but my complaint about the service remains.

We told them our range evoque was not to be turned over again as a specialist advised not to do so as to not damage the engine again. I explained I just want it towed to the specialist and they said they have to send a van first to listen to it!! After me telling them that cant be done as could cause further damage. Ive been a customer for over 25 years and never needed them in all that time more than half a dozen times. All that money paid and they dont listen. Ive had to now pay privately

Reported a brakedown at 10am. My motorcycle wouldn't start. It would turn over but not fire up. The problem was the fuel pump sticking. I asked for recovery home. I explained all this to the call handler. Received an email stating they would be there at 1105am. Then Received an email at saying they were busy and would be there by 1330 . Then at 1214 another email saying still busy and be there at 1600. I received a telephone call at 1520 from the driver who was on route to jump my battery ( which he was told was flat) I explained I needed a recovery home and he said he couldn't do this as he had a car on the back of his trailer. I told him not to bother coming as it was NOT MY BATTERY. He turned up anyway ( obviously so he got paid for doing absolutely nothing). He took some pictures and I attempted to start the engine to prove it would turn over and show him it was not a flat battery. The engine spluttered and after a couple of attempts by me it fired up. I drove my bike home. I reported this fault at 10am and sat by the roadside until 15.20pm. Absolutely disgusting service. If you listen to the initial call from me you will here me reply to the question does the engine turn over with a yes.

The greenflag company, what parent company is direct line, is the worse company I have had the misfortune to have paid for, I'm got a battery only 6months old and is faulty, greenflag are flaty refusing to change there faulty goods, be aware once u have paid Yr money, they don't want to now you, and still they are selling the customers faulty goods, they are the more, disrespectful, rude, abnostious company I have every had to deal with, so be awair, they may be cheaper than the aa, but do u want to be left with faulty good that will let u down????????

Very disappointed with Green Flag. Very slow response time on the one occasion I needed them 3 years ago due to their small fleet and use of local contractors. Their prices have rocketed. I've just renewed with RAC for 3 rather than 2 vehicles at half the price. I tried to cancel my subscription mid-year but was refused because I had called them for a burst tyre and then cancelled the call-out 10 minutes later as I got a local garage to help. This invalidated my ability to cancel the policy and get a refund. Just received the renewal notice which says ' though you didn't need us this year ....' Sharp practice! Needless to say I'm not renewing ....

like everyone else great if you breakdown but trying to get hold of someone to speak to is a nightmare. Needed to cancel my auto renew £141.00 as a new quote is £95 but being passed from pillar to post 4 different phone numbers rung started at 11.45 its now 19.20. They have now asked me to ring back end of the week FFS.

Impossible to change car details with them. Over an hour waiting for a phone call, no way to do it on the web site. At this point I'd be better off cancelling and trying anyone else

Received an email from Greenflag saying they could half my AA quote, filled the online form in and received a reply saying they wouldn't cover me with no explanation as to why, sent them an email asking why but have never received a reply.

Green Flag telling me I can’t have a reimbursement after cancelling my policy (for the outstanding amount left) because my bank card details are not the same as when I took out the policy, so they are withholding the monies I’m owed until I can recover my previous bank card, which no longer exists as this bank card has expired. Reporting and taking further action.

Shocking to get through on the phone.. Left hanging on.. Requested a call back.. That never happens.. Woeful customer services.. Going to move elsewhere?? But who is better?

Took out some European breakdown cover with green flag but then had to cancel it within the 14 days no refund yet from them and trying to contact them on the phone is impossible I have tried 4 dedicated phone lines but they all pass you onto another line and they never answer you even when you ask for a call back they still don’t ring you so now will have to contact barclaycard to sort out a refund. What a palaver don’t bother with them

As bad as you can get and believe me it can't get any worse. Got caught by the auto-renew terms and lately I've changed my car. Now can't change the car reg on line and told to phone up. Phoned the number and after a few minutes told it would take 30 mins. Left my number on call back and got a call back only for her to take details of my policy and then said she would transfer me. Then transferred to the main line to have to go through the whole procedure again. 1 hr later still waiting to speak to a human being. All I wanted was to change the vehicle name and registration.

I contacted GF at 7.45 pm and have been left in the dark on an unlit road with no battery . Told to wait til 8.30pm which soon became 12.30 at night . Green Flag should be called Red Flag . Will be pursuing a refund . They cannot deliver what has been purchased .

My recovery with green flag was literally was a comedy of errors , arrived late , wasn’t sure how to pop the bonnet , wasn’t sure were the battery terminal was to apply his battery booster pack ! Once he found them , he got me to try to start the car , unfortunately his battery pack was nt charged enough , so I suggested he go plug it in at my place of work , he said he had nt brought the charge lead with him , I honestly couldn’t believe what I was hearing , So I’m suggesting may be jump leads ? He doesn't carry them !!!! So in the end he left me to call my husband , who purchased some jump leads & got me up & running , honestly it was a complete joke , I’m going to cancel with green flag

Had breakdown on motorway today. Agent was impolite over the phone, kept asking me to repeat the same information I provided. I ended up crying and feeling miserable, begging for help. I had to walk and read the number of the junction. I never had this sort of experience in my whole life.. It was a very bad adventure, a very horrible one. Agent did not care about my safety and the noise level of the vehicles on the motorway. Very ineffective, dealt with my case after 1 and 1/2 hour. How lucky I was to come home safe!
