After waiting 2 hours when we arrived to rent the car we had to return it as soon as possible due to fault, the next day they proceeded to blame us for not returning it the same day even though the office was closed and we proceeded to wait another 2 hours. Even then the oil and the water had not been checked so we had to return to the depot. When we returned the car we reported the bad experience when renting the car and the manager proceeded to ask me why i am still here, upon informing him that he was now simply being rude he escalated the situation by threatening me with physical violence in no uncertain manner. Quite simply the worst customer service i have ever received had and the staff should be ashamed of their behaviour. I recommend never using this company behaviour like this is totally unaccptable

This company is a scam. Bunch of gangsters working there. They charged me £150 extra to make payment by debit card because they didn't accept my amex card. While returning, they showed me a minor scratch which is not even noticeable and charged £530. I now see that it is their mode of operation. Please see the below news: https://www.theguardian.com/money/2018/jun/09/green-motion-car-hire-bills?fbclid=IwAR1j7_xarQlPgk_2k25-pKla1qG0RodWku4oLy550cKxAUfmD2KGz4ez8vA

I rent a car from Greenmotion in Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen Airport, worst decision ever. I rent many cars in Istabul as well in other foreign cities like Malaga, Malta or Sardegna but this was the most FRAUDULENT one ever. First of all, they let you wait for an hour at the airport because they are not capable enough to consult two customers at the same time due to their loads of papers and bureaucracy. After returning the car they do literally EVERYTHING to let you pay any damage EVEN IF YOU HAVE FULL INSURANCE. Important!! Please stay away from them, they let you sign 5 or 6 on paper written documents with a load of text (I came to enjoy my holiday, wtf??) and then they try literally EVERYTHING to get any cent out of your pocket on supposed "damage" in the car. You would need a police report in order to get your insurance money back months later (I didnt have such a condition before at any of other car rental companies where I was very satisfied with). As an experienced traveller and regular customer of car rental companies trust me if I say, STAY AWAY from greenmotion. Your money is worth a more reliable and customer friendly rental company.

SCAMMERS, STAY AWAY!!!!!! I have rented out cars so many times but this was the worst experience ever. - just after reservation they sent an email saying that the shuttle from the station is not working due covid restrictions so need to pay an uber to get there - once got to the office, on the back of the hotel (which is used for covid quarantine travellers so you need to be careful ) they started to try to up sell the cars, services, insurances and so on - I rented the unlimited millage but they stated that there was no evidence on the reservation and asking me about the voucher which I never received. After 15 minutes discussing for that they agreed on unlimited millage (but I didn't know I was going to pay anyway) - After less than 24 hours the car had an indicator light about the tyre pressure, the pressure reduction was imperceptible and I kept driving for four days without any problem. When I returned the car they said there was a puncture and they held 260 pounds from my credit card. I asked for evidence of repairs so they sent me invoice for 140 for the tyre and 120 for the car unavailability for 2 days. - On the top of that I forgot my driver license during the process and when I asked to have it back (by email since it is IMPOSSIBLE to talk to anyone by phone) they said that they didn't find it. -https://www.theguardian.com/money/2018/jun/09/green-motion-car-hire-bills SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!

I seen a bike being advertised on Aliexpress by Green E Motion store £851, delivered by UPS in 15 days. So I purchased the bike on 4th April 2021. 10 days past and they asked for more time to ship the bike, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and give them another 10 days. After the 20 days they shipped the bike, so they said anyways. The tracking number didn't work and still to this day being 19th June 2021, the tracking still says packed and ready to be shipped, the tracking number still doesn't work. After countless messages back and fore with their representative who speaks English like a 4 year old, they offered me a refund, but to get the refund they wanted me to agree that I had received the bike, which I refused to do. Aliexpress has a count down of 75 days for the bike to be shipped to me before I can open a dispute the get my money back. I got 18 days left. If you have any sense at all, please please DO NOT use this company, or you could be in the same position that I am in. I got no doubt il get my refund from Aliexpress but it will be 95 days or more after I purchased the bike. Absolutely pathetic company and I'm surprised Aliexpress let them advertise on their website

Undoubtedly The Worst Car Rental Experience Imaginable I booked a car from our flight from London to Glasgow via booking.com. I got an email from a company “Green Motion” that required a mass of documentation, almost like filling in a mortgage application, that you had to submit on their portal, passports, driving licenses, multiple proof of addresses etc. At this point I was quite pleased as this meant I did not have to take the passports on holiday with us. I received a notice that all the submission was successful. You would think this would mean it would save time!!! Not with this backstreet, shady service…….. When you get to the airport, they aren’t in the airport like the other car companies, you are told to wait for an eternity in the car park for the “shuttle” that is a small van and takes about 6 people with no luggage, so we waited an AGE for this van to go back and forth. In the end, I had to leave my wife and kids with all the luggage in the airport and hop into the front seat with the driver so I could hopefully get the car. The other passengers were complaining that they had to have infants on their knees (no car seats), luggage on top of their needs, it was so cramped and we didn’t even know where we were going……which is to a waste land some miles out of Glasgow airport to an area I think used as a rubbish dump (see pictures) and this company, Green Motion, has lots of old cars on four wheels outside the place. It’s simply unbelievable that booking.com send you there. You would not go there alone or after dark I am telling you. You are then told to wait in part of a warehouse to get the car. I asked for the car and the guy said I needed all my id. I told him I had submitted it on line. He said It had to be brought in hard copy as well and that I should have read this in the terms and conditions!!! I said there was no point uploading it if I had to bring it with me and I didn’t have my passport. He said we don’t look at this stuff until you turn up!!! He then said my documents were incomplete because I didn’t include my NATIONAL INSURANCE NUMBER!!! I told him the submission said successful. He then said he couldn’t continue without my national insurance number and this could mean the booking is cancelled with NO REFUND!!! I had to call my Accountant on a Saturday afternoon to get my NI number to appease him. I mentioned that it said the documents were successfully submitted but that didn’t help. He told me, regularly, that there was a contract supplied and it stated quite clearly in various clauses that hard copies and national insurance documents needed to be supplied OTHERWISE IT MEANS A CANCELLATION WITH NO REFUND. Since he was doing everything possible to try and cancel the booking and not refund any money, I thought they had no cars or hadn’t yet put the wheels back on the cars outside. If it hadn’t been half term week and my kids weren’t with me, I would have walked out and got hold of my lawyer. The credit card I had used for the booking had expired in the meantime. I handed him another card but he said he couldn’t take debit cards. I said to take the whole deposit amount and they could refund it later so there was no danger they couldn’t hold a deposit. He wouldn’t do it. I asked him to take my wife’s credit card but he refused because she was not the main driver and no, no way could he amend the booking by one initial so that my wife could be the main driver. I could, if wanted, pay an exorbitant fee over £350 to alleviate the position and the matter could be sorted. He refused to contact booking.com to see if they would amend the booking (I’ll cancel the whole thing if you want, there will be no refund though) and was rude, aggressive and unreasonable until I had NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY THE ADDDITIONAL CASH £350 making this back street, run down operator twice as expensive as any proper car rental company. They then gave me a diesel. So much for GREEN motion. The guy doing the booking, referring to me all the while as “my friend” in a derogatory, unprofessional manner whilst clearly enjoying the commission he had just extricated. I have made a formal complaint to booking.com. They don’t let you know that you will be escorted (eventually) in multiple vans, in split groups, to a Glasgow backwater so that unprofessional underlings can force you to pay exorbitant additional fees because they haven’t checked the admin you sent through or can’t make a minor change (one initial ) to a booking. It was thoroughly the worst customer experience I have ever had and I urge you NOT TO BOOK GREEN MOTION OR CAR HIRE WITH BOOKING.COM. Imagine if it had been my wife, alone with our kids and we hadn’t paid the fees, she would have been left in these backstreets of Glasgow with luggage.. When I returned, I was offered a “lift” back to the airport but with all the messing around last time and a plane to catch, I went back on my own steam with luggage and ended up traversing double carriageways to get back but at least I got there.

I’ve rented a car twice from Green motion, once was by mistake, but both were really horrible experiences. A couple of months ago I rented via a third party website (wisecars), who redirected me to Green Motion. They advertised and accepted a booking for car collection in Kings Cross train station. The rental voucher Green Motion sent me listed Kings Cross station as the collection and drop off point. When I arrived at Kings Cross, I found that there was no Green Motion office there. I called the office and was told that in the fine print it says that their office is in fact in Edgware (a 25 minute drive away). Sure enough, buried at the bottom of the email it was there, but to describe it as misrepresentation doesn’t really do it justice. When I finally made it to the office they were mid row with another customer over the same issue. When I raised my own dissatisfaction, the two staff uttered between them aggressively. “Just cancel his car then.” They then proceeded to refuse to accept my credit card for the excess deposit, as it was a company credit card. Although not accepting company cards is not stated anywhere on their T&C’s that they could show me. Instead they offered to low the excess deposit so it could be taken from my debit card if I paid an additional fee. This fee was more than double the original price of the rental. Fortunately I had another credit card on hand, so was able to avoid this particular scam. It left a sour taste though, and I figured I’d never rent with them again. I had a couple of positive rental experiences elsewhere since then through other companies, so was pretty gutted to realise that I had accidentally made a booking through a different 3rd party website to Green Motion this past weekend. What didn’t surprise me, was that despite my suggestion, and official complaint about them misrepresenting their location before (which I was assured they were in the midst of rectifying), this rental was still booked under the false representation that the car was to be picked up and dropped off at Euston station. This time at least I knew where I really needed to go, so I figured, at least I’ll just have to collect it from further away, and that will be that. As I arrived there was an irate customer who was returning his car. He was being charged £135 for a scratch on the rear passenger alloy. He vehemently denied that he was responsible. He made a point to warn me, in front of the two men working there that he felt that their behaviour and the way they found the scratch was questionable and untrustworthy. Still, foolishly, I went ahead with the rental, thinking that provided I was overly cautious with them, and took videos and pictures of the car, I would be protected. Ironically, they gave me the same car that person had just returned and when I made my videos, I couldn’t actually see any damage to the alloy. I asked the rep to show me where it was, and after it took him over a minute to find it, he pointed out a mark so insignificant I felt it was shocking the other customer had been billed for it. My trip was a great one and the travel time uneventful. I returned the car early and was expecting a swift check out. Another customer was checking her car back in at the same time. The rep did a cursory walk around, checked the alloys, and the interior, before signing it off. When he then checked over my car, he suddenly started running his hands all along the underside of the bumpers, until he ‘found’ a scratch on the bottom edge of the front bumper. “Ooh. It looks like we might have a problem here sir,” he said. Honestly. I have never seen a rental car rep do that before. It was as though he knew exactly what to find and where. I checked the pre rental videos I had made, but obviously, you can’t see the under edge of a bumper in any of those videos, because who would film that. Not unless they were lying on the ground. The guy, to his credit, did seem to be genuinely empathetic about having to charge me, but it also all felt so terribly convenient. Especially in light of the experience that the previous customer had had too. In any situation like this, it becomes a he said, she said, so there’s very little I could do about it, other than to protest against it. They have my deposit anyway, so I really couldn’t stop them taking the fee. I can tell you for certain, that I was not involved in any situations that could have led to that scratch. The car travelled across London and down the motorway, before spending two night in secure off road parking, away from any other vehicles. Then it took the same route back. There was no off roading. No collisions. No scrapping on uneven ground. It was about as boring a journey as you could imagine. But, the rep told me that he doesn’t have to prove it was me that caused it. He has a damage log sheet, and when the car was rented, the damage wasn’t logged. If I couldn’t provide an image of that piece of the car undamaged, then I was responsible. As I said, the damage is not visible unless you are down on your stomach looking up under the bumper. Or unless you are running your hand underneath it to feel it. So, there is absolutely no way that unless it was pointed out to me, that I could have reasonably seen it to report it before taking the car away. My take away from this experience, outside of eating a £435 bill, is that my first instincts about Green Motion were right. There are some seriously shady practices taking place. The staff are dishonest and aggressive. The whole experience from start to finish reeks of a swindle. Of the three other customers I have interacted with on Green Motion property, two were complaining of the same issues I have faced. My advice would be that you avoid like the plague. But, if you’ve already booked with them, photograph everything. Record your conversations with the staff too. Be as vigilant as you can possibly be, because make no mistake, these guys are out to tuck you up.

Do not trust this company. Use it at your peril. I rented a car with them but only saw their reviews after having the car for a week. When returned they claimed a range of issues. They claimed there were scratches on the undercarriage, charged my credit card after I left the shop without permission. Please read the reviews before using this company, toy will regret it.

Be carrefull those People are trying to still your money: you pay online with your card and when you come to collect the car the explain you that your card is not accepted and you should have read entirely the terms and condition. And of course refuse to refund you for the full price of the rent paid online in advance !

Do not use Green Motion. They are a rip off company. We thought we were getting a good deal through Priceline but when we got there they charged us a mandatory 40+ dollars a day for their insurance even thought I had American Family. They only deal with a few insurance companies and if you don't have them you pay. Also they van was old stained, the horn didn't work, and the passenger side door did not lock EVER. Not the best to have a car that doesn't lock in Miami. When we brought the car back the person spoke zero english so we could not tell them anything. Also try and find a local phone number for the company. Try to find any number that is not out of the country. Do not use this company.

The rental was more or less ok. However, they are charging me £168 for two traffic violations offenses. That is not to pay the fines, it's just to forward my details and I have to pay that separately. I am ok with paying for any violations I have done but I am very offended that they have charged me £168 for 2 minutes of their time to forward my details. This charge used to be £10 until recently.

WARNING: THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS! They gave me a good rate so I thought “how bad can it get?” I’m an experienced renter and always carefully check the car and take detailed photos and video first thing so I am not blamed for anything I didn’t cause. THESE PEOPLE CANCELED MY RESERVATION WITHOUT REFUND 1 hour and 38 minutes after my pickup time. Lateness was due to late baggage and covid registration at the airport. When making a car reservation on the website they have an “Optional” flight number line “in case flight is late” but that obviously wouldn’t change anything. I called them (all 3 numbers) and no one picked up the phone. THEY ARE IN A SEPARATE BUILDING FROM ALL OTHER RENTAL AGENCIES (so it proves it’s not a normal rental agency) and if it didn’t take me over half an hour in -10 degrees to find them I would have made it before it got canceled. THEIR ADDRESS ON GOOGLE MAPS IS WRONG and instructions are confusing which is obviously done so people are late and their reservations are canceled (with no refund). IN -10C IT HAS TO BE CRIMINAL THE WHOLE BUILDING WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY and I had to wait for over an hour after I found it for someone to show up because I realized the person must have left for lunch. He was obviously an asshole to me when he did show up. I disputed the charge with my credit card, let’s see what happens.

The worst rental experience i have ever had. Not sure why they had apparently 4.5 out of 5 review when I booked via Ryan air site ? They charged me for a scratch which was non existant! I was in a hurry to catch flight and the guy knew that. I missed the bus to the terminal with all the disruption! Charged me 15 pounds for a ride to the terminal ! Never providing a receipt for the service!and now trying to charge me 84 pounds for a PCN notice which was mistakenly charged! Using bulling and hounding techniques and threatening ! Whatever happened to honest living and customer service? Never again!

Please be very careful. They will steal you 84 pounds in case you got a ticket. They don't tell you in person when you get the car and it is not even written in their online voucher or in the contact that you sign. It is only written: ... Fines, Penalties and Administration Charges It is the responsibility of each hirer to cover the cost of any parking fines and traffic violations including but not limited to unpaid tolls and Congestion Charges. When fines or traffic violations occur and a Green Motion location is involved in administering the violation, a management fee will be charged. This is a non-waiverable fee. Really awful, crafty cheaters because they omit such an important point. Other big companies charge you only 35 pounds for administrative fee in case you get a ticket.

I just been robbed by this company, i paid almost 500 pounds to rent a car one week, i had bring the car on time with no damage, but still they found a way to rob 400 pounds (sort of deposit). I paid to rent of a seat leon 135 pounds / week + insurance, they had ask me for a sort of deposit becouse I didn’t had a credit card, but they didn’t told me they won’t give me back that 400 pounds, i’v just got am email that amount it’s not a deposit. Just wondering who else will pay 500 pounds/week to rent a car? ...official answer, be aware Good Morning, Thank you for your email. Please be aware, your deposit was £50 as you have purchased an excess wavier. Due to you arriving without a valid credit card, you have neglected to comply with our Terms and Conditions, the rental station had the right to refuse the release of the vehicle, with no refund. However, the rental station has offered you an excess waiver that will reduce or remove your excess on your rental, which allows you to continue with the reservation. In this case, I believe Green Motion Manchester has acted in lines with our Terms and Conditions, therefore, in this case, no refund will be offered. I have attached your payment slips for your reference. Please do let us know if you are still waiting for the £50 deposit. Thank you. If you have any further questions I am at your disposal,
